This was not the opening song, but it was the first song coming back from 2 songs played by just Pau on the piano. You can see them moving the piano off stage to the left when the lights first come up. This was a special and unique performance with the strings. Metallica asked them to do this cover in collaboration with Canadian pop singer Alessia Cara for The Metallica Blacklist album, celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Black Album. They rearranged, composed, and recorded this song in about 10 days with Alessia over zoom. The official music video features Alessia as a projection since she couldn’t travel to Mexico due to COVID. In the live performance, her "oh-oh-oh-oh" vocals are still included on the backing track.
This not just a video they released...this is pure gold and EPIC concert footage recorded and mixed at the highest level and it is from last year. They are releasing all 23 songs....22 originals. Simply one of the greatest concerts in decades. Cheers
"Metallica would be very proud." ROTFFLMAO!!! YES, they ARE proud. It is Track One, Side One, of Metallica's *Black List* album! Not with strings, but the same basic arrangement they're playing here, featuring Canadian pop artist, Alessia Cara, who contributed from Canada over the Internet while The Warning were in Mexico. The Official Music Video is that exact version, set visually in an old textile mill with Alessia as a wall projection. It is very cool! The Warning had the strings for their Tenth Anniversary show at Pepsi Center in Mexico City. They are slowly releasing songs from this concert. Hopefully, we'll have the entire show in a few weeks or months! According to many who were there, it was a magical evening.
The only reason that it was track one of side one on the Metallica's Blacklist Album was the artist of the song was listed *"Alessia Cara & The Warning".* Metallica didn't want to show favoritism with other artist on this project. They listed the songs in chronological order as they appeared on the Black Album with the artist in alphabetical order. Since there was six covers of Enter Sandman on the Blaclist Album. If the artist was listed *"The Warning with Alessia Cara"* as it should of been. The Warning's version would be placed at number 6.
It's great that you've discovered The Warning. TW have been releasing the live videos from the Pepsi Center concert in the order that they were performed. This was the 11th song in the setlist and came right after Breathe, that was performed by Pau on the Piano. Disciple was the 1st song performed. I'd recommend listening to each one, in order. They've been releasing a song about every other day and I think that the setlist was 23 songs. Keep on rocking and you've been warned!
*Enter Sandman* was the 11th song out of a setlist of 23 songs The Warning performed that night. It was the second (first was Black Holes) & last song the all-female string assemble performed.

The ‘fourth’ version of their reworking of Enter Sandman. Metallica tasked TW to rework Enter Sandman with Canadian singer Alessia Cara. Keep the lyrics, but make the song their own. Alessia and TW did the official music video separated by the pandemic. It’s a black and white work of art with Pau in a nightmarish scene you have to see. Once restrictions were over Alessia and TW performed together live on stage where Alessia and Dany switched places in some of their vocal parts. When TW performs Enter Sandman live without Alessia, Dany always mentions Alessia as part of their reworking of Enter Sandman with her prerecorded backing vocals of her haunting wail. You can hear Alessia’s haunting wail here, where The Warning show their classical background.
Great Reaction, Please React to Dust To Dust & Dull Knives Live at the Pepsi Center. Tied together. These Songs put a new meaning into the words Rock your World ... 🌎🌎🌎 🎉🎉 The Warning 🔥🔥🔥

They awakend a song which was going to its grave. They gave it new life and brought ES to a new and younger audience. I was dead tired of this song. Now this is the only version I listen to.
Agree...You can do a copy paste thing with this song, but thanks to The Warning, this song is A Whole Different animal altogether. And, thats why this song is on Metallica's tribute album "The Metallica Blacklist" !!! ⚡Viva The WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.

Well... Metallica put this song as number one on the album "The Blacklist"... I guess more than pride, it's like giving them the highest approval and blessing for... the work they did in just one week...
Metallica was not only proud of this, but they placed it on their anniversary blacklist album!
Track #1
Never heard a cover made so WONDERFUL... rearrangement, arks and violins, something really special!

I agree, the strings add a very cool dimension to this already amazing re-imagination of this song.
