Alice is the ultimate showman and story teller. This is from the concept album of the same name - which follows a character named Steven. Years later, he released a sequel concept album called "Along Came a Spider". There's a cool medley video from that album called "Along Came a Spider (The Movie)"
Alice Copper you saved my life do to my job and personal life i had to hear that song from the movie frozen [let it go ] several times a day for 2 years. To keep from losing my mind I started to pretend it was sung by Alice Cooper. Now I'd like to hear a cover by Alice Cooper. If your out there Alice Copper please cover that song from Frozen❤
As I recall when this album was first released it wasn't well received by the rock "establishment" too well. However it has since been recognized as a masterpiece. Also, this video you just watched demonstrates one other aspect of Alice Cooper that hasn't been well documented and that was his ground breaking use of video. Back in 1972 they made a video of the song "Elected". Regarded by many as one of the first MTV style videos. Of course this was a decade before MTV even existed. This video of "Welcome to MY Nightmare" is the opening song for a made for TV special of the entire album and was the very first long-form music video. It was shown in it's entirety on ABC in 1975. Curiously , only 3 years earlier Alice Cooper's appearance on ABC"s "In Concert" was pulled my many local ABC affiliates as being too extreme. The videos for "Elected", "The Nightmare" and the "In Concert" episode are all available here on YT with just an easy search.
