The 13th Doctor has been my favourite of the NuWho Doctors so I'd probably go with her along with Dan and Yaz like you did. My story though would involve them running into The Beatles by accident though. The title would be "Eight Arms To Hold You" which was the working title for the film "Help!" but they couldn't come up with a song called "Eight Arms To Hold You".
After another crazy adventure, they decide to drop Dan off in Liverpool for a family member's birthday or something like that. He leaves the TARDIS and decides to get a drink before heading home. He walks down Matthew Street to find that The Cavern is open (there are several Caverns currently open on Matthew Street but the original was closed down in the 80s thanks to Mrs. Thatcher and some plan for extending the rail system that didn't end up happening). It's then that he realizes that it's 1962 and not 2022 so he runs back to the TARDIS before The Doctor and Yaz take off. When The Doctor realizes the error, she says "wait...Liverpool, 1962? There's something we have to do!". They all leave the TARDIS and head back to The Cavern where they see The Beatles. They spot The Doctor in the audience and come over to say hello, introducing her to Ringo as he'd only just joined the band. "Oh hey Ringo" says Paul "This is that mad bird I was telling you about" whilst winking at The Doctor.
DOCTOR: Alright Paul, don't forget you still owe me that 50p from 3 years ago.
PAUL: Oh yeah, you're in luck as it happens, we've just signed a record contract so here you are (hands her 50p).
RINGO: So how many times has she seen the band now?
    GEORGE: Oh at least 7.
JOHN: 9, that I can remember...
    PAUL 9 hundred and 9.
JOHN: So would this be the One After 909?
PAUL: Hey, there's a song in that!
JOHN: She was there that day at the Woolton Village Fete where I first met Paul, I think she's been at every show since. Can't get rid of her (smiles).
DOCTOR: So you've just signed a record deal, that must be exciting.
GEORGE: Yeah, it's great. We have to go down to London next week to record the album.
    DAN: Well, the first album.
PAUL: Yeah, I mean, it'd be nice to think they'll let us do another one after this but we'll just see how it goes. The Melody Maker didn't like the first single, said it was "banal rubbish".
DAN: "Love Me Do"? Banal rubbish? It's one of the greatest songs of all time!
JOHN: That's nice of you to say that, err, friend of The Doctor, but we're just 4 lads from Liverpool...it'd be nice to be rich and famous but we're just happy to be able to make a record.
RINGO: Do you think they'll let me play on it this time?
PAUL: Don't start on that again.
GEORGE: Anyway, we'd better head off. Brian wants to see us at his office.
JOHN: At this hour of the night?
GEORGE: Yeah, someone wants to interview us for one of the music magazines.
PAUL: Well, it was nice to see you again Doctor, Yaz and...
    DOCTOR: Oh, this is Dan.
JOHN: Nice to meet you Dan, maybe we'll see you again someday.
The Beatles head off to Brian's office while The Doctor, Yaz and Dan hang out at The Cavern with Dan still dealing with what just happened. Yaz is unphased.
DAN: I never thought I'd actually get to meet The Beatles.
YAZ: Get used to it, The Doctor is a little bit of a fan.
DOCTOR: They're incredible. Just think, those 4 lads from Liverpool who at this point in history are just about to record their first album, completely unaware that they're about to change the world.
They decide to head back to the TARDIS to drop Dan back in his own time but on the way, they find the 4 Beatles lying unconscious on the ground as their roadies, Mal and Neil, chase the unseen assailant down the street. Mal and Neil return, having lost the attacker.
MAL: What the hell was that?
NEIL: I've never seen anything like it before. A sort of 4 headed creature with 8 arms.
MAL: I've seen some strange things but nothing like that.
NEIL: I don't know why, but any time that weird bird shows up, something strange happens...oh, hello Doctor...Doctor!?!?
DOCTOR: What did you say it was that attacked the band?
MAL: It was horrible, it must have been 10 feet tall, four elongated heads and 8 long arms. It moved along like a snail, but at super speed.
DAN: It's a bit early for the LSD years...
YAZ: Dan! This is serious. Something has knocked out The Beatles.
NEIL: It went around the corner and then it disappeared. How is that even possible?
DAN: I wouldn't have thought it possible either until I met The Doctor.
NEIL: Exactly, what do you know about all this, Doctor?
MAL: Lay off her Neil, she's a bit weird but she's harmless. She wouldn't be mixed up with this sort of thing.
DOCTOR: I'm going to need a bit more information. From the description, it doesn't sound like anything that I've encountered before.
The Beatles start to come to. Neil tries to convince them to go to the hospital but they head to Brian's office as originally planned. When they get there however, Brian is already in a meeting...with The Beatles.
    DOCTOR: Of course...The Dellopticons.
    JOHN: The what?
DOCTOR: Neil and Mal, you said you saw something with 4 heads, 8 arms and moving like a snail...The Dellopticons are flying creatures that lay eggs. When the eggs hatch, they take on the form of the first creature they came into contact with. The egg must have landed on The Beatles with the Dellopticon inside taking on the form of the 4 Beatles.
YAZ: So what they saw was a Dellopticon splitting into 4 separate creatures?
    DOCTOR: Exactly!
GEORGE: That's all very interesting, but what are we supposed to do now?
They enter Brian's office to find the 4 creatures devouring the journalist who had come to interview them as Brian looks on in shock. The creatures, realizing that they've been discovered give chase to The Beatles (similar to the scene at the start of A Hard Day's Night) while The Doctor and the others explain to a hysterical Brian what's happening. The rest of the episode focuses on trying to make sure that The real Beatles make it to Abbey Road and not the Dellopticon Beatles. If the Dellopticons make the record, then they will lure 80% of the population to their concerts where they will be ingested. Only The Doctor, her friends and The Beatles can stop the Dellopticons and save the human race.

I like your idea for a Doctor Who story with Thirteen, Yaz, and Dan adjacent to the Beatles (with a "Fanfair For The Common Men" twist). As for the upcoming Season 1 episode with Ncuti as the Fifteenth Doctor, I agree the that "The Devil's Chord" is probably the right episode title and that Jinx Monsoon is more than likely the Big Bad for the story. As for the plot, I think there's something to do with the super experimental music the Beatles were starting to get into in their early post touring years (around the time "Rubber Soul" and "Revolver" were recorded and released); the costumes and hair styles sported by the actors cast as the Beatles seem to line up with that theory. They worked with producer George Martin to bring their ideas to life, including the use of tape loops to create what was at that time advanced production effects... and which song did this effort go into? "Tomorrow Never Knows" - a song John Lennon was inspired to write thanks to reading "The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on the Tibettan Book of the Dead" by Timothy Leary, Richard Alpert, and Ralph Metzner. Thanks to Ringo for the song title (one of his "Ringo-isms). I look forward to seeing that episode whichever way it goes. It's time the Doctor met their favorite Beatles.

I like the idea of a Beatles story where the Doctor is trying to avoid their former selves between Beatles concerts. It's a sort of meta tale and allows the BBC to avoid the obvious budget restrictions of using Beatles music/footage. Imagine a Back to the Future 2 type set-up, with the Doctor accidentally landing in the Cavern Club only to realise they've messed something up and need to fix it. Unfortunately, they know a previous regeneration (but aren't sure which) came to the gig, so they need to navigate it with their companion while not bumping into their themslef or changing anything. After all, if this performance doesn't go well, all of history is changed
The episode could have Doctor look alikes appear all over the place in long scarves or colourful coats, as the current regeneration (I feel like this is a Smith style episode, but there's no reason it can't be done with future incarnations) is jumpy, making sure not to meet their past self. Add some drama that this is a 'temporally unstable point' because of how much hinges on it, maybe bring back the Reapers from Father's Day and you've got a fun Beatles set-up. Ideally you'd end it with a montage of images inserting previous doctors in a variety of Beatles gigs, with a Beatles song leading in the credits

    • @louisslegall
      @louisslegall  4 месяца назад +1

I adore this idea!!!!!! I could definitely see this as a Smith style episode, like a special episode. I'd say this is ten times better than mine as well 😂

    • @Finbars9

@@louisslegall a special is a good idea! I was thinking of the series 6 era, with Amy and Rory. Amy would have a subplot of trying to sneak off and get drunk at the show, but the bartender won't accept her modern money, while Rory's stuck helping the Doctor and comes out with some wild take about the Beatles (like Pete Best being the better drummer, or Wings actually being the superior band).
And thanks! I'm a massive Doctor Who and Beatles fan too, so always wanted to see a crossover like this. I'm about to watch Devil's Chord so hopefully RTD pulls something interesting together

@@louisslegall I've just finished it. Overall, I really liked the episode, probably my second favourite of RTD2, but it just squanders the potential of having the Beatles in a story with a musical god. Plus that final musical number feels so awkwardly tacked on

On rewatch I enjoy Devil's Chord. I don't like Space Babies that's an exhausting watch, thank god for Millie and Ncuti's performance. Advertising it as a Beatles episode in the magazine and publicity is cheeky, the Beatles are barely a subplot. As you said it's squandered the Beatles for a future appearance and it sucks.
