Couldn’t justify the Dark horse pricing, ended up getting a brand new Mach 1 for 50k (dealer had the car for over 100 days on lot) couldn’t be happier! All handling package parts already on the way & still haven’t spent even close to a base dark horse pricing..
@@nycmaverick mustang prices are super inflated because of covid. there is ZERO reason to not be able to get massive discounts on anything excluding the gt500.

Should note that on the GT, with the automatic, you can option in the 3.55 gears without having to opt for the performance package. Upgrade is about $1000; Ford's site is bugged and doesn't show it. :)
Ordered mine 2weeks ago. Vapor Blue GT Premium, Nite Pony Pkg, Equipment group 401a, and the 10spd automatic. I can use the X plan, so I'll get a $2500 discount for the pricing.
I had some body panel fitment issues. The L headlight had about a 1/2 inch gap between the fascia and the headlight. I also had some rippling along both rear quarter panels and the body. Had to look at it just right to see it, but once you saw it, you couldn't "unsee" it. Overall the car WAS nice and I got nothing but compliments and GOO GAGA over it. But in the end I just didn't love it like I thought I would. I traded it just 4 months after getting it. Hope you have a better experience with yours. Honestly the attitude of my local dealer helped with my decision to trade it. They were very defensive of the issues I had. Good Luck.@@Onlytheclouds
Just ordered our S650 Base Gt performance pack car with the 10 speed trans. Dark matter grey metallic in color with the fade out stripes. The only complaint I have is that you can't option for the magnaride damping suspension on the base gt. You have to move up to the premium package to get it. Which I think is absolutely ridiculous. But other than that, can't wait for it to get here. Build week is October 16th
I don't think for the average person buying these cars that the Dark Horse is worth the money. I also don't think it looks better either - I don't like the big chunky plastic humps under the headlights of the Dark Horse. GT Prem is my choice. Dark Horse can keep it's extra 14 HP. Not worth it to me.
I’m an owner of a heavily modified Whippled 10R80 2020 GT which I still love. I would of bought the 2024 S650 if it was tunable, did not have the giant ipad tv stuck on the dash board and if it had an awd type traction control feature.
$70K is crazy for a Dark Horse. Spend half that on a 2007-2010 GT500 with money to spare if you wanted to make it faster, etc. Sorry but the Dark Horse is not worth every penny. Not to me.
Just ordered premium gt hoping for October delivery !!! Vapor blue, black and grey racing stripes, Night pony , active exhaust, 401a, automatic.... never going to track the car so couldnt justify 5k performance pack guess ill save money on brakes and tires :P

Gt500, Boss 302 or etc. #5 It's been overhyped like it's the best mustang ever, yet it doesn't have the hp of the gt500 or the hp and proven handling of the gt350r. #6 I own a gt350r and a gt500, both 1000+rwhp monsters. I don't see anything remotely exciting, entertaining or interesting enough about the new mustang to pull me out of the driver's seat of the 2 s550s I already own.
I ordered a GT Premium as well. 10 Spd, Vapor Blue, GT PP, Nite Pony Package, Space grey seats, Grabber Blue Brakes, Active Exhausts. Didn’t think magna ride was worth getting since I’m planning on lowering the car either way. Same with the recaros, don’t wanna give up those heated and ventilated seats for the summer 😭. But I did manage to get it at MSRP at my dealership thank god ($57,015)🙏Sadly still haven’t gotten my VIN and I ordered 3 days after the order banks opened and now I hear the plant has closed down for a couple weeks due to panel issues but better for ford to fix their problem now than to get them out on the street unfinished and with problems for the customers to fix. But really excited none the less🫡
Doesn’t the handling package for the Dark Horse give you a bigger front splitter? Also what does “Revised Chassis Tuning” mean? Could you daily drive a Dark Horse with handling package, or is it meant for track use only?
There's a splitter installed at the dealer for all Dark Horse models, but we haven't seen anything Handling Pack specific. It's always possible it wasn't included in the fine print. "Revised Chassis Tuning" is a blanket term that can apply to any changes made to make it more track-focused and take advantage of the different wheels & tires, but it is still 100% daily drivable. The tires may be the limiting factor for daily driving as they are low treadwear.
I have a 2020 GT PP1 here in the uk will be going to the show room in June when they have some on show thinking of the GT I wonder if there is a tyre option
I am excited to see the 2024 mustang but im sorry I can't justify spending 44k for a base GT thats ridiculous. My 2022 premium GT/CS with extras was 48k delivered. The prices are too high im definitely not buying
Definitely not looking forward to the 2024 5.0 GT or Darkhorse, it's pretty much the same engine with little increase horsepower and expensive price then a 2018-2022 5.0 GT's. What I'm looking forward is other high-end models like the Shelby GT500 All I wish for is Ford make the S650 Mustang line up even powerful, faster than before and don't ruin them with EV engines

Glad I got my 2021 Mustang 2.3L with MANUAL transmission! Pricing since then has gotten totally out of hand, now car comes with no manual Ecoboost, a ridiculous TWO computer screens tacked on the dash (not integrated into it), and it looks like radio/climate buttons and knobs have mostly gone away. The latter is a deal killer for me, I'll NEVER buy a car that doesn't have buttons and knob controls for those two ever again. (the single screen across the entire dash is even worse, that thing will probably cost $5 or 6K to repair/replace when it malfunctions) Instead of the goofy steering wheel bottom, Ford should lower the door sill height so you don't need to raise your legs so high to clear the sill when getting in and out. Steering wheels should be ROUND. And all that black trim stuff, and black wheels, is NOT cool, Steeda. It's a cost reduction to improve Ford profit -- black paint is cheaper than chrome. My special-order yellow 2021 with bright wheels and Pony Package chrome trim grille looks so much better than the other yellow Mustangs that Ford puts in dealer inventory, with all that boring black trim.
70k for a poor handling American pony...I would rather pony up for a m3cs . Depreciation would treat it better and it's engine is under quoted from a power perspective. And did I say it handles way better...
@Raneer_ I get to drive new cars as part of my job. Though I have not driven a trim over a Mach1, a north do 55k car falls short in handling compared to a basic 3 series 340...I rest my case. Maybe I am wrong but as a middle class person, I put my money where there is value. While I love mustangs or the concept growing up outside the US, if I had 55k to spend, I will buy yhr Supra anyway.
@@starkyrulz yeah, I'm sure you do. Your argument here is irrelevant. I never made an argument how it handled compared to BMWs. I don't care about that. What I was disputing was that it has poor handling, which is objectively doesn't. If that's considered "poor handling", than you don't know what that means.
@Raneer_ again the term poor handling is objective.
