FYI, to the uneducated people out there, Goku/dragon ball is based on the Chinese Tale, Journey to The West which is about the monkey king Sun Wukong. Akira Toriyama technically plagiarized sun wukong and took inspiration from it when making dragon ball. The Ruyi Jingu Bang is Gokus staff, the nimbus is Gokus cloud, and the fact that goku is part monkey also says otherwise.
It’s bewildering to see a game like Black Myth: Wukong being developed with such enthusiasm when, within our parents’ lifetimes, the very book it’s based on, Journey to the West, was targeted in book burnings during the Cultural Revolution in China. During that period, Journey to the West was condemned as part of the “Four Olds”-old ideas, culture, customs, and habits-leading to its destruction alongside countless temples, landmarks, and tombs by the Red Guards. This development feels particularly hypocritical given China’s time-honored tradition of cultural vandalism and genocide, where such works were once so vehemently denounced. It seems the narrative has conveniently shifted to suit current interests, ignoring the historical context and the cultural devastation that was inflicted not so long ago.
Japan went through something similar (though not as extreme) in the 19th century. First they abandoned all Japanese traditions and then they started taking pride in it and actively encouraging it. It’s not hypocrisy since Maoism is dead and gone and Deng Xiaoping’s capitalist reforms were rebranded “communism with Chinese characteristics.” Xi Jinping is just continuing that. The CCP, however, HATES stuff like Shen Yun because that stuff isn’t done by the Chinese government. It’s actually Falun Gong and the whole thing is anti-government. But all ticket sales fund Falun Gong. So you’ve got your pick of funding a fundamentalist anti-western medicine creationist cult or the CCP.

The basic story goes: once there was a monkey. He had lots of super powers and used them to upset a lot of people.
I dunno how well the game follows the original story, but that’s basically all you need to know.
@@verycoolname9404 Checks out. I had a monkey throw poop at me at a zoo 30 years ago and it upset me. Super powers? I don't think so. Definitely had decent aim, though.
@verycoolname9404 from what I’ve seen so far, the game takes place after the events of the book.
A magical monkey with severe ADHD got superpowers and immortality and became a mischievous terrorist/arsonist/vandal/thief/etc of sorts and pisses off most of the gods and deities of multiple religions.
I have seen nothing from BMW but this is peak Sun Wukong, fantastic animation
How about we don’t support a game with extremely sexist developers?
I guess I`ll buy it just because of that
@@vVPhaetonVv Did you bring enough brain-rot for the rest of the class?
Yo a beta
They aren’t sexist they just didn’t take a 7 million dollar bribe from a DEI company, the original story of Journey to the West just didn’t have that many women in it, it’s being faithful to the original story.
@@bobertastic6541 So we're going to gloss over other material in there where ya know..male characters get pregnant, right? Would you prefer that true to the origin as well?
Damn dawg, that was fast video!
a minute and 11 seconds of joy right there!
This will be the start of a legendary series!
The humor and animation is on point.
I’m looking forward for your Radahn vid😂
An actual Kid Goku video game? Sounds fun!
God plz do the whole game this was brilliant
I can't wait to see more of these BMW skit animations 😂😂😂😂
It’s exciting to think about how this game will contribute to the genre and how it will be received by both critics and players.
omg, u r so creative, hahahah its so funny
LOL. Short but Wonderful!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Please tell me there is going to be more than this lol. Was looking forward to more after being so frustrated with this game. You always find a way to express that so well with your animations.
This was great!
Love your animation, that intro of the game got depicted right. Lol
SO GOOD, MORE PLEASE
In the game, you assume the role of an ape character named Sun Wukong, a renowned figure from the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West." However, it's crucial to note that your objective is not to continue playing as Sun Wukong. Instead, your quest revolves around collecting sacred relics with the purpose of resurrecting him. While the game provides this information, there may be some players who overlooked or misunderstood this aspect.
That smack in the face after the other wolf impaled him xD
