I feel bad - as soon as I saw Jake at the beginning, I had a Pavlovian response to skip, thinking it was a sponsored segment but then I realized he was actually part of the real video and stopped myself.
I think they realised that so I've noticed they started sharing sponsor duties
@@ActiumFilms Yea I've started to notice that too. Jake is becoming more involved with the actual productions, which is fine as he has a great personality and I like the dude when he's interacting with the others. He's got a certain barely contained chaotic energy that I identify with deeply.
I understand where you're coming from, and I would always skip his segments cause like you said, sponsored segments. But for some reason, I think due to a slightly different type of edit, my brain just ignored the possibility of it being a sponsored segment. But I do agree, I enjoy seeing Jake involved with the actual production of the videos. I think since Clint's left, he's had some space to wiggle into more of the production side of things. (At least on camera)

This is hands down the best "R-Rated" video you guys have made. As much as I love the visceral nature and creativity of the marvel kills, the way it transforms the story into a fucked up comedy is just pure god damn gold.
That was so cool. The fact Sean just won't stay down, and the headstones, magic. I had a giggle at the snowmobile, tumble tumble blood trail, plop into grave. Superb.

Finally a bond villain who actually does when he say he's going to do. Instead of casually walking away and letting Bond Escape. A confident Bond villain.
James Bond is not a code name. It is impossible given several events throughout the series. Like the Simpsons, he doesn’t age, but he moves with the times. It just needs to be accepted.
Daniel Craig’s Bond is a reboot with a whole new timeline, similar to The Dark Knight.
Exactly - the opening of For Your Eyes Only is the best example against the code name theory. Why should Moore-007 mourn at the grave of Tracy unless he was the exact same in-universe person as Lazenby-007?

I remembered what Brosnan’s connection was. In The World is not Enough, he says that is family motto is just that, “the world is not enough”. The same thing is said in Lazenby’s Majesty’s, that “TWINE” is his family motto. Unless two different people have the same obscure motto, they are the same. Lazenby, Connery, Moore, and Dalton can all be tied together, and since Brosnan ties to Lazenby, that’s his connection to the rest.

From the 1967 James Bond official movie/parody (a different group had the rights to that movie, hence why it took until 2006 for EON to make the first Bond novel a movie... about 15 years after the last one before it).
I want to see the Matrix Movies R-rated. I want to see the bit in the Burly Brawl where Neo hits the Smith clone with the block of concrete on the end of the metal pole except he obliterates the head of the Smith clone with that hit before showing off with the pole spinning flare completely unphased. I remember reading a theory that James Bond is supposed to be a distraction. That's why he has a catchy name that he just says all the time. The enemy expects him, chases him, captures him, spending their attention and resources on this famous man while the actual spies do their work under the distraction he causes.

I know this is a radical idea, but maybe, just maybe people can accept that they've been making James Bond movies for 50+ years and would need new actors to continue the story and that we can just watch the movies and enjoy them without over thinking it. That's what my dad told me when we first watched it together.
How do they cope with movies featuring Robin Hood (50+ different actors) or Sherlock Holmes (150+ different actors)?
I love the MCU but not everything has to be a cinematic universe.

I also remember how disappointed I was when I found out that they would continue to make Avenger movies for the foreseeable future and beyond. After Endgame, Avengers/Marvel is done as far as I'm concerned.

This would actually be a interesting retelling of the James bond movies where the original James bond died in the first movie and the rest of the series follows the agency coming up with a protocol that if they need to assign someone to a suicide mission they put them under the name James bond

That's the thing about James Bond movies. They are/were based off the original books, but with slight modifications can be set in any time period post world War 2
That was also done in an older James Bond movie as well if I remember correctly.

and Ian Fleming mentioned his parents, Andrew and Monique Bond, in the novel You Only Live Twice. So the codename theory is wrong, but still fun to theorize about this 'what if' situation though :)
Craigs Bond is a complete reboot of the series, all the previous Bonds were supposed to be the same guy.
The main evidence for that is that Lazenby's Bond got married by the end of his only movie, Connery returned to the role and then Moore took over, paying a visit to his wife's grave and dropping Blofield down an industrial chimney. In another Moore movie a female spy he teams up with reads out details from his dossier, noting he's been married, only once and Bonds then shuts her down. I think there's a reference to his widower status in one of the Dalton movies while the Brosnan movies are also supposed to be set in the same continuity with the same Bond, just with no explanation as to why his face keeps changing.
Of course he could just be a series of clones, or even early Terminators with various different skins.

I always just assumed that every James Bond was literally just the same person but played by a different actor. Like, you're already suspending your disbelief by watching the movie anyway, just don't worry about exactly which person is playing the character.
The people who don't understand recasts would probably freak out if they watched soap operas when they would just recast characters from time to time.

Man, that voodoo guy was so weird. I remember a scene where Bond shoots a chunk of his head off and his eyes roll back as if to look at the damage, but he doesn't die. They kinda jumped the shark with that one, implying the supernatural is real in the Bond universe.
