if you went to Kuala Lumpur ,please use uber or grabcar, because some taxi charge at very high price and some of them not use taxi meter. not all but many of them. it is because the driver have to pay taxi rent to the evil greedy taxi company RM50-60 per day,so the driver will transfer the burden to the customers. if u still want to use taxi, please ask them the price first for the destination u need to go, or just pay to the taxi counter first in certain buildings in KL.
Stephen Lowry experience the night life- go to Changkat. And please also go to Ipoh, Penang, Pulau Perhentian and the islands in Sabah. You might need 2-3 weeks.
some tourists just go to kuala lumpur when they visits malaysia, well if u want to experience what malaysia is i recommend to u to go to penang at the south, johor at the north, kelantan or terengganu at east peninsula malaysia, sabah n sarawak at east Malaysia and langkawi, kedah ... and the airplane tickets is not so expensive, u can check in the internet.. well.. maybe u can Google about all the place i mentioned... have a nice vacation..
I live in Malaysia for about four years now. My class and I went to the same museum you did a few months back for a school trip. I found it really interesting but my friends were more interested on eating lunch in McDonalds 😂
please be more careful when you go out at night. Some area in KL is not safe. Nowadays, there are a lot of crime in my country such as snatch thief, gang robberies and so on. I also want to remind especially women who want to visit my country do not bring your hand bang along with you because someone will steal your hand bang from behind. They use motorbike and run away with your belongings. It is better to bring a wallet if you want to go shopping. If you want to go out at night make sure you bring someone to accompany you. That is my advice.
msia is not as crime free as some other countries, but as long as u keep urself humble, not bringing gucchi or Lv or other superbrands stuff, I think u should be fine. just play safe and u shouldnt ave much problem. nyway, have fun.
Always look forward to seeing your vlogs! Malaysia is definitely on my list, the closest I've been so far was a 6 hour stopover at KL airport coming back from Cambodia haha I'm off to Italy next week after nearly a year of no travel at all (I'm not sure how I've coped!)
I lived in Malaysia for a year when I was 8. I haven't really thought about it since we left, but watching this video, all the memories are coming back to me! The sounds, the smell, the food, the humidity. I miss it all!
I tell you, if you know about me, just now, i am Japanese Muslim, i from Hokkaido Japan, i stay Malaysia 4 years ago, I came to Malaysia from 2014 until today 2017, and i have two years stay Malaysia, Malaysian are good people other Muslim. wait for my age of 21, can return to the country of origin in Japan, thank you ^_^
The Malay culture was pretty strong with its black magic. There are also stories about certain "kris"es having its own spirit. Sounds rad except the fact that its said that these spirits demand payment for their services. And how they harm you if you dont give them that payment. Sometimes with blood rituals. There were some strong animism beliefs here in Malaysia long time ago. Also my great grandmother was one of the people we called a "dukun". This culture is slowly dying out due to religion. Its not that its said to be fake. In fact Islam does agree that black magic exists and somehow do work but that it is a sin and that black magic practitioners collude with satan. Not that proud about her being very good at those arts but obviously Id still love her no matter what. Among the things she do are treat spiritual illnesses, and sometimes about the weather. Could be myths, I dont know but it is said that during the racial riots between the chinese and malays, there were levitating blades and all sorts of mystical arts. Another myth was that of rioters toppling vehicles by merely brandishing scarves. Sometimes I find it amusing when the west tell stories of voodoo, yet unfamiliar to the dark arts from the malay archipelago. I think they deserve some acknowledgement at least. We didnt have any witch hunts or lynching and burning witches alive so who knows maybe some people still practice these things. The whole thing is a bit spooky imo.
u are true. but the only thing that could break the spell of black magic is Islamic teachings and Quran. thats why there still alot of muslim in malay community...they trust the power of it..and sadly, there still alot of them practice the black magic too.
Haha I see you struggled to find the bird park too. My boyfriend and I spent 2 hours lost whilst looking for it, eventually we gave up and went for food! The next day we used the hop on hop off bus (about £7.00) it lasts all day and has 23 stops over all!
Malaysia is a big country with lots of interesting places to visit and if u guys have the time visit Genting Highlands, a 45 mins drive but its worth every moment. in Malaysia, states like langkawi penang , Malacca , is a must visit and not to be missed
Made from soy bean, not mushroom. Beancurd is made from soy beans too. Been enjoying your videos. Hope you guys had lots of fun at the water park today!
Glad that you enjoyed your trip to Kuala Lumpur. Its a messy, interesting, dangerous, confusing, annoying, tasty mix of a city. The food is great and the getting around maybe not so... ( I used to live there for a short while ). Looking forward to more stuff from you guys
HECK! It looks CRAZY! Also, you were SWEATING LIKE HELL! What temperature was it tho? Also, was the building with the pool at a hotel or a residential building tho?
Hey lovely, great vlog!! We just got back from travelling around Asia doing a lot of what you guys are doing. Your vlogs are bringing back such great memories. We had several experiences witnessing terrible and tragic accidents and they do leave vivid memories. Hope you are ok and continue to enjoy the rest of your time there 😊We also loved Kuala Lumpur, so much to see and do and can feel like you are walking into a different worlds around some corners. Like always looking forward to the next vlog ✌🏼️
I really enjoyed KL (over ten years ago :-( .). Not really a great party place but good food and lots of cultural interest. Pop off to Pangkor or Penang for a more party/beach break.
On the time zone - KL is actually the same time zone with BKK, just that the time in KL and West Malaysia has been adjusted to follow the time zone of East Malaysia... which explains why the time zone is not auto-updated.
enjoyed this series, especially seeing how tourist see my city! glad you had fun here. there are other cites, islands and places you should check out! lemme know if you need to know more. cheers!
You should go to Borneo which gave lots of interesting wildlife, natures and cultures. Trust me it's the best place to relax and it's paradise..you can search at goggles or youtube the best place ever that you can visit at sabah and sarawak which is Borneo. If you like beach and islands you can go to sabah or Tusan beach miri, sarawak. If you like caves, natures, turtles, orang utan try for sarawak. I have been there and it's truly amazing. The food is cheap many tasty foods which peninsular malaysia don't have it especially kuala lumpur. The seafood is so fresh. I can say it's paradise 💖💜❤️
Next to the Bird Park is the Police Museum, which is free to enter and has many interesting exhibits including a nice collection of guns/weapons taken from bandits.
That depends on the places. Most are safe actually. But yeah, damn with those Abu Sayyaf groups and those Sulus. Pesky tyrants giving Sabahans a lot of headaches.
I loved Malaysia when we went! wish we'd got to explore kl a bit more. if you get a chance, you should definitely go to Penang and the Perhentian islands
I'm new to ur Vlog but I just realised I fell in love with it immediately, its so much fun ..and yeah I've subscribed without any doubt , double thumbs up just for U.
Allie, please show more of what you experienced. You tell us the cool things you did, but I would like to see more of the details that make up your story. Also, please slow down a little when you're speaking. Otherwise I love your videos!
A Must for Malaysia : top down list, langkawi (snorkeling) - tanjung rhu resort, penang, cameron highlands, pangkor laut, putrajaya, tmn negara pahang**, pulau perhentian (snorkeling)** , sabah*, sepadan* (snorkeling), malacca and last but not least kuala lumpur and putrajaya before back home. *east msia ** easy access by ecrl 2024, best transport now is by bus
Wow, so you saw a man involved in an accident? I'd avoid to see it at all cost fearing that I'll get extremely emotional seeing a person covered in blood and the vision will haunt me for months.
I think it's time for you and Scotty to get the hell out of Dodge. Go 207 KM north of KL and got to the Cameron Highlands. No humidity..beautiful tropical plants and fauna..take care..sweet dreams.
you should've visit the islamic art museum bc it's super interesting and its unique architectural design is amazing! 💕 and if you're interested in going some other places besides kl, you should def go to Penang, i'd call it a food paradise! 😍
Subway water park is sooooo big,,,plus a adventure park and a mall as well,,,,,,ps,,next time your in Malaysia,,,your have to go to malacca,,,I love it there.
I have 2 or more trips to Malaysia already. I love everything about Malaysia except the night life. Not so lively, but if you looking for a relaxing vacation, its perfect.
Haha I love that you couldn't find the bird park entrance too ... We were arguing in our vlog about this because it took us forever too ... We just followed the bird sounds :D glad it wasn't just us!
Hi! Very informative video. I wanted to ask how the visa works for tourist there. If i wish to live there. Whats the maximum extension for visa, will 2 years stay there be possible? Thanks!
Don't forget too JOHOR BAHRU also the main spot tourists visit in MALAYSIA...besides Johor have beautifully islands like Terengganu....Pulau Rawa the best spots for scuba, snorkeling and water activities and so on....Johor the best ever
A high level of road accidents resulting in deaths is one of the major problems in Malaysia. And it is no surprise because too many motorcyclists (and other road users) steer their vehicles recklessly and often ignore road rules including running red lights at least half the time.
Hey guys. I'll be more than happy to show you some very interesting places here in Kuala Lumpur that you haven't covered in your videos. I have been living here for around 3 years and I absolutely love it ☺
well actually a lot malaysian are actaually good with english because english and malay is quiet similar also try eating roti canai , roti jala and also mee bandung its good
First off, I just wanted to say that I'm travelling to San Francisco & San Diego in 8 days time for 3 weeks - it is my first time traveling alone to a far-away destination (I'm from Finland) and I am beyond nervous! You have been a major inspiration for me during my planning process! So, thank you! :) Also, I have question about travelling to Asia. I know Asia is definitely on the safer side for female travellers, so that is not my number one concern, but I'd be interested in hearing if there is a country/city in particular that you would recommend for a female solo traveller as sort of an 'introduction' to Asia. I've always wanted to visit Japan, especially Tokyo and Kyoto, as well as Malaysia (Singapore and Kuala Lumpur). :)
You will absolutely love San Diego if you haven't been. Honestly, San Francisco is cool, but it doesn't have as safe of a feel as San Diego. Everyone here is so incredibly kind, there's so much coastline to just relax on, and the food is incredible. I HIGHLY recommend stopping at Juice Saves if you have a chance because their juices, bowls, coffee, tea, and treats are AMAZING. Have a wonderful time and if you have any questions about California, feel free to email me. Best of luck on your exciting solo adventures! :)
Japan is a safe place and has great public transport but if you can't speak Japanese communication will be a problem since not many Japanese can speak other languages like English or Chinese. Malaysia on the other hand is fairly safe as long as you don't go down dark empty alley late at night you know common sense things for a metropolitan city. but suggestions on places to visit is a little hard since it depends on what you are seeking. for a more urban style getaway K.L. is the place to be since a lot of the night scene and shopping complex are concentrated in K.L.. for an eco getaway either Langkawi for mainly an island/beach side getaway on the peninsular side, or Sabah or Sarawak for the tropical rainforest experience. and there's Melaka for its heritage tourism. and there's Penang which is a mixture of the above to varying degrees but as a penangite I can say the main reason you will want to visit Penang is to stuff your face with great food. if you're not adventurous to try out new cuisine you will be missing out on a huge part of what Penang has to offer. (note that the opinion on Japan isn't first hand experience but from experience from friends and family, and views on places to visit in Malaysia is an objective views by a local and you might have a different experience)
That chap at 2:05 looks suspicious, be careful Aly. He is following you at 2:21. Haha. On a more serious note, that accident you came across sounds nasty. It is never a good thing to witness such tragedies. That night market looks cool. I look forward to the water park vlog!
Lol Id imagine you guys find eating rice with spoons instead of a fork must be weird but deep down you secretly agree its a lot more logical and better to use a spoon to eat rice. Just my prediction. I can be wrong
someone hate malaysia and you the one love malaysia so i want to say thank you for that i told you becouse i from malaysia thank you so much we love you💖💖💖💖💝💝💝❤❤❤❤
Do not forget the islands in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is the city and honestly I hate Kuala Lumpur. Too busy. Search for Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Dayang, Pulau Sibu, Pulau Manukan and many more.
Malaysia is the best country ever.

+Amber Eff Thanks for the insight, Amber!

Do not forget the islands in Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is the city and honestly I hate Kuala Lumpur. Too busy. Search for Pulau Perhentian, Pulau Dayang, Pulau Sibu, Pulau Manukan and many more.
I will sure go there on day
