Bumped into Trace one time at an airport as we were waiting in the same area. Tried to tell him I was a big fan from his first CD. Told me to F-off and walked away. Nice guy....
I was actually there that night and it was so cool. It was my first time to Nashville and I had gone a couple nights earlier and did the backstage tour after. That was where I learned how they'll have current members a couple times per year come out and surprise an artist about becoming the next member. So on this night I had already known who was playing, but I noticed Dustin Lynch was playing last and not Trace. I told the couple next to me that I thought Dustin might be getting a surprise from Trace and they thought that would be awesome. Sure enough, Trace came out after a couple songs and the couple looked at me and was like "oh wow!...this might be it!" and that's the clip you see here. I recorded it from my phone, and I swear at the 0:52/0:53 second mark that first scream is mine LOL I was just watching tonight's show on RUclips with Jon Pardi becoming a member, so I just searched for Dustin and found this video. So cool. Ok, I am done rambling now :)
I saw Dustin Lynch open for Florida Georgia Line once. He’s an incredible performer. Happy for him.
