      Not meaning to sound rude but the way the boar is spoken of it almost makes it sound unappealing. I was given a 5lb boar roast to make a ragu type sauce. I plan to cut it into chunks about 1-1 1/2". I dont want it to take like pork from our local grocery store. It should have a different flavor a lamb does or goat. Otherwise, why pay the extravagant cost to purchase it? If you need to 'kill' the taste? I have a large can, bigger than 28oz, of imported san marzano whole tomatoes given to me and I would like to use garlic, mushrooms, herbs, etc.
      I imagine this will cook like potroast(except its already cut before I start the dish) and you can cook low and slow.
      I love the above marinade and think its a shame you are supposed to toss all the veg.

      @@kimquinn7728 I am planning to use the veg later in some sort of a Tuscan soup, probably with some good sausages. No tossing away anything.
