Are you able to do this for a design of my own? Or anyone for that matter as I only have iPad version of Adobe Illustrator and this function is not available. Or if anyone knows another iPad or online app to do this on??

Of course, well the tool I used called Pathfinder, if you can’t find it, go to window and then you’ll be able to find it, just click on Pathfinder and then all the features of this tool will pop up just like mine on the video, please let me know if you have any other questions
When you draw with the pen tool, click and drag to curve the line, while you're doing so, you can hold shift to let the curve be 45 degrees for a better symmetric curve. I hope that was helpful, please let me know if you have any other questions.

I have a problem with one of the steps. When I select my text and the figure and try to use 'make with top object' it doesn't work. It says that the top object must be a mesh/path or a symbol that must contain a mesh/path. Any advice to fix this issue?
I just create squares using the rectangle tool, and than I assign a specific color for each square, after that I lock them by selecting them all and click on control / command (for mac users) + 2.
Hello, to solve this problem, increase the number of steps from the blend options, not too much tho, otherwise you might have slow performance of adobe illustrator, I hope that was helpful.
You may have had a fill on your top path. Make sure you have no fill on that. Stroke & thickness of stroke does not matter for divide. I hope this would solve your problem.

@@copsusaclips I also had that problem, so I sent it to back with right-click arrange, and it came back. I am breaking every other thing after, only had this a day and this is the first tutorial I've got this far through without doing a rage quit. 🙂
I simply create rectangles or squares using the rectangle tools, and I give each one of them the colors that I want to use, this is making me work faster and be more organized.
@@sr-ey4xq Make sure that you've already duplicated your shape, with one of the copies scaled down. Then try to open the blend options by clicking twice (double click) on the blend tool from the tools panel. Please let me know if that solves your problem.

Hey, could you tell me why when i envelope distort the top the letters are unreadable? (that does not happen with the bottom half of the circle)
Make sure that the shape layer is above the text layer, then try again. Let me know if that solves your problem.

I can't get pathfinder-divide to work at all

Click on "Windows," and you'll find the Pathfinder option. Select it, and the panel will appear.
