How to Use Envelope Distort Tool | Adobe Illustrator Tutorial

Here is a way of distorting letters with easy using the Envelope Distort tool. It's not 100% accurate but it can do a lot of nice tricks.

Thank you! Go to "Object > Expand Appearance", then "Right click > ungroup" and/ or "Right click > release clipping mask"

Hello! Thank you for your very useful video!
I tried your second method with the circle and distorted text, but when I try to click Object > Enveloppe Distort, I have an error message telling me (my software is not in English so sorry if the translation is not accurate) "You should select multiple objects. The object in foreground should be a trace or single net or symbol holding a trace or single net."
How do I do that ?

@@PANTERvision The idea I wanted to execute was text wrapped on a "3D" sphere that I could bounce around the artboard. And the perspective of the text would change depending on the rotation of the sphere. Is that possible with After Effects, Or do I need some fancy 3D software?
