  • In this video I make a sake set on the wheel. I take you through the whole process from wedging, through to throwing and finishing, and finally, warming some sake! Although this is a very simple project, I show you how to create a foot without trimming and how to square off your pots. I end up with gently altered forms that are nice to use.
Key takeaways: You do not always need to trim if you plan for it. Working in little studio
This pottery technique great for beginners, intermediates and advanced potters throwing pots on the wheel. This no-trimming pottery technique is great for potters to gain more confidence to progress further with wheel throwing and to create more shapes on the wheel.
The YELLOW RIB featured in nearly every video has been with me for years and I use it for shaping, refining & compressing. I would never want to be without. It's hard to loose... and it just carries on. Along with my wheel - this is with me for the long haul!
I would strongly recommend it here: amzn.to/467QQID
The RECTANGULAR PROFILE RIBS I used for this video worked very well. Get yours here: amzn.to/3y0nMGk
