This is my wife's grandfather. We will miss him dearly. He always cared about the kids and would literally do anything for them. My wife also took that picture of him with the bubbles on the card shown.

He was the best man I’ve ever met and I will always appreciate him for being there for me when I was sickest. He invited me up to the hospital one day just to see me and visited me after my procedures and he never once treated me with rudeness. He has the biggest and brightest soul in this whole entire world and I thank God that he didn’t have to go through the same treatment he had to treat everyone else with. May he rest in peace and thank God he doesn’t have to go through the torture that chemo is.

Nurse Terry has had a huge impact on so many children and their families. I hope other nurses will try to follow his example. My condolences to his family. What a beautiful man to see his young patients smiling like that through major cancer treatment...what a blessing to the parents, as well...and then to "retire" and then return! What a blessing. ❤
"We are forever better bc of Terry." I can only dream of having someone say that about me in my legacy, but Terry actually did it ❤.
It was sad to hear the nurse that was his patient say that it happened so fast that they didn't the chance to take care of him like he took care of everybody else (and her literally) ❤
This reminds me of the cancer center that I go to. I have told them that they "almost make me look forward to coming here." 😊. Makes me think i should do more to show my appreciation for them. I think I'll do that now! He is still touching lives of strangers, too! ❤

A true hero ❤ I volunteer in a hospice and love it there, however my hubby was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer a month ago. Before that he'd been a nurse in charge of an ITU. now he's had major brain surgery and will start treatment, probably next week (08/24) and it'll buy us roughly 12 months more with him, where without treatment we were told it would be 2 to 4 weeks. we renew our vows in a weeks time. But I can't believe how quickly our world collapsed around us. Now I'm going to be one of the relatives who I would normally look after and my hubby a patient I'd care for, as he is going to my hospice when the need arises and I know we'll have the best team caring for him and the best of friends to support me and our family too❤

Firstly, I'd like to say that my face is NOT leaking! Somebody is chopping onions somewhere in the world - that's my bubble, please don't pop it.
Now then, in just 3 1/2 minutes I have acquired so much admiration, respect, and love for Nurse Terry. What a treasure...
Even though the people that loved him are still spinning, dazed from just how quickly everything happened, for Terry's sake, I'm grateful. Sixteen days is a blink of the eye, I know - how do you prepare things, get affairs in order, tell everyone, etc.? But, for anyone that has seen someone go through end stage cancer, sixteen days can be an eternity. If anyone deserved a (more) peaceful passing, my guess is that Terry would be at the top of the list.
Thank you Terry, for every life you touched. May you forever be in peace.

Maybe it was best he went fast after the diagnosis. He didn’t have to suffer. Can you imagine what he is doing in heaven after all the love he showed so many here. Rip Terry❤

Sounds like a wonderful man. It was a blessing that he went quickly, and didn't suffer for long. God loved him too. I'm sure he will be missed for a long time to come.

How I wish all nurses were a Nurse Terry. Someone who truly cares for their patients. All patients deserve a Nurse Terry. I hope in his final days he was rewarded with the same care he gave to others.

Bless this man and the lives that he touched. I worked on an oncology floor for a bit and it is so true... you'd expect the feeling of sadness and heaviness all around (and it sometimes is), but its actually one of the most peaceful places in a hospital in my opinion.
