A very close teacher of mine initially introduced me to this song back in 2018, and ever since then it's been stuck in my head. I always associated Sandstorm with this song, so in August 2020 I decided to finally animate it. There have been attempts at this before over the years, but this is the one that got closest to being fully finished. I was unsure whether to upload this or not, since I'd still like to finish it someday, however I believe it is time to move on from the project and possibly revisit it later on down the line. This was something out of my comfort zone at the time, and I have certainly learnt a lot from working on this, however this project hasn't been touched since December and I want to experiment furthermore with various other themes and techniques. I love this project to bits, it's one I had the most fun with during it's process, but I believe it is best to leave it be for now.
That being said, there is still one and a half minute left of the song that I planned on animating. It would've concluded Sandstorm's arc with Firestar's death and her elderly life with her children and grandchildren before she too passed away. I noticed that most works centered around Sandstorm tend to include Spottedleaf, however I wanted to showcase Sandstorm as the strong individual she was written to be, who fought for her family and her clan until her very end and never looked back. The fandom tends to characterize Sandstorm by Firestar's relationships with the rest of the cast instead of looking at her genuine characterization, so I didn't go over every major detail in the series as they've already been discussed prior to this arc. This all takes place after the Three's secret has been revealed, thus the scene involving Squirrelflight, Leafpool and Brambleclaw.

This was all animated in FlipAClip on iPad Pro (2017) and an Apple Pencil. All of the editing was done in Sony Vegas Pro 14.0, and some effects were included using Proreate.

Thank you all so much for the support you've shown me over the years! I'll still keep creating content, though it will be much more experimental in the future. I'm not leaving the Warriors fandom yet! This has been a place of comfort for me for well over 6 years now, and I still plan on creating more content regarding the books! However it won't be my main focus anymore, and I'm slowly branching out into other fandoms and original content as well, so I hope all of you will enjoy what's to come! P.S. the 'gore' CW was put in since I planned on animating a few death scenes at the end of the full project but never got to it sadly :'o Now it serves as an ironic detail lol

I’m so glad that Sandstorm got the recognition she deserved. She along with Yellowfang are one of my favorite cats in the series for showing so much loyalty to their clan and being strong during tough times.

As an Italian myself, I can say this is perfect.
OMG THIS IS SO SMOOTH AND AMAZING. Even if it’s unfinished, I love how you included the character Sandstorm is rather than including the whole Spottedleaf/Firestar/Sandstorm drama. Also I love how you put Sandstorm defending her daughters from Brambleclaw, it’s a scene I wish was in the books because Sandstorm’s character is being loyal through and through to her clan to and to her family. Sandstorm has always been a favorite of mine and seeing this amazing amv though unfinished made my heart happy. Sandstorm will always be one of my favorite characters

i'm not that far into the books but I never thought about how sandstorm dealt with her daughter being abused by bramble.
This animation is truly wonderful and I was able to feel every emotion since I am Italian and I have known this song for a long time. It's the first time I've seen a warriorcats animation with Italian songs and I'm very happy about it
