Aha I kinda knew you'd like this show :p Really good theory btw, I didn't thought about it! I have another theory about this show, but it's more like a global theory than a specific one. I think the next season(s) are going to be centered on really heavy problems with Reggie. She argued a lot with Esther and Todd, and although they are "reconciliated" at the end of S1, I feel like none of their problems is actually solved. While Reggie acts kinda selflessly and can be mean, it also feels like her friends never listen to her. I think the next seasons will actually start a much darker plot involving Endless being "mixed up" with the real world, with possible bad consequences. I'm afraid of what Reggie will do if her friends keep ignoring her, and since we still know literally nothing about Endless, it might be used as a big plot twist leading into something much bigger.
It’s a good show, and I’d love to see another season! I like your theory, I do think that Endless could end up in a mixed up state due to what’s been happening between Reggie, Todd and Esther. We’ve had some hints about the darker aspects of Endless, and there’s still so much unknown to us!
also note how doctor champion's form seems to be inspired from super sentai shows, which is stuff that the generation of kids before reggie, todd, and esther would be into
Same, he's hilarious! I love how over the top he is, it always makes me laugh uncontrollably! 😂 And after studying this theory that is definitely canon, it gives his character so much more depth!
7:36 Seem to be a far point but Endless seem to have ways to teach whoever's visiting with the inhabitants acting like what they were doing in real life.
I think is worth to notice how Dr. Champion resemble much a tokusatsu character, like being obviously inspired in Kamen Rider. While most residents of Endless may resemble characters from kid shows, he's the one that look more for an "older audience". This could also hint that the person Dr. was before really loved tokusatsu from childhood to adulthood, to the point he wanted to become one himself.
Does anyone else find some odd parallels to Coraline and 12 forever like endless is a pocket dimension filled with bizarre locations and inhabitants who so far only allow children to enter and alluring them not wanting to go back to the real world.
I actually have a better theory What if ALL the inhabitants of endless were humans at one point but spent too much time there and eventually transformed into different beings
Actually, since we know that inanimate objects brought to endless can be brought to life by the magic of the island, I’m thinking that most of them are either toys, food or even clay that was brought to Endless and gained life of their own. Though I do agree that a couple of them might be transformed humans, Doctor Champion just being the most prominent due to his erratic behavior.
Well, if that superfast doll boy was any implication, I think its fair to assume that a lot of the people in endless are those who trapped thenselves in endless and ended up driven insane, a la Springbreak Forever.
There’s doubtless going to be others that have been similarly affected by Endless. Some of the other residents of Endless could have been human, but Doctor Champion stood out as the prime candidate for me!
@@TheoryPop Well they did show two ways for new residence to happen, either inanimate objects given life or people driven insane. Makes me wonder which one the Butt Witch is.
This is exactly the kind of theory I was looking for, though you missed a plot point with his driver’s license. Since Endless effects real world objects when they’re brought there, varying from making them into animate storm clouds and turning a box into a spaceship, couldn’t it just as easily changed his picture on the card to match his new appearance?
@@TheoryPop Todd created guy pleasant, inspired by his own brother and favorite bands and guitarists. If Guy is aware of that, he may have internalized the role of "cool older brother" maybe too much on the "cool" end. Todd is also growing up as he turned 13 at end of season 1 and started going out with Gwen. If Guy pleasant gets a little lonely or jealous, (I mean almost everyone on endless is supposed to be nice but hear me out) Guy might set his sights on being with Reggie since she expressed interest in sticking around endless as she gets older to explore more islands. The one temptation to leave Endless though might be Connelly because Reggie seemed to really like or at least admire Connelly. Guy pleasant seems to like the ShmAaron sad blob that Todd attempted to make of his brother again, which turned out as an awkwardly shaped creature, probably because he created it while in angst. But what if Guy pleasant doesn't actually like ShmAaron? What if ShmAaron is an annoying constant reminder of how he couldn't measure up to people from the real world, and how fickle humans can be, creating replacement Endless friends as they need them all willy nilly? This might make guy pleasant hate or at least be suspicious of the real world. He probably wants to see Todd happy but at the same time was not totally created ending up like that. Why might that be? I think it's because Todd is dealing with a lot of responsibility at home, a feeling of slight abandonment by his brother and emotional neglect from his parents. Could it be that whatever you create on Endless takes on the parts of your personality you felt while creating it? So guy pleasant could also have some abandonment issues but hide them really well beneath his Rockstar persona. And to cope with those issues he might try to keep Reggie in endless as long as possible.
Unfortunately it seems like we won’t be getting any new 12 Forever episodes anytime soon, but I’m glad that theories can help extend what we already have. Thank you for watching!
Doctor Champion is the best character on Endless, he's hilarious! I love how over the top he is, it always makes me laugh uncontrollably! 😂 And after studying this theory that is definitely canon, it gives his character so much more depth!
Anyone else thinking that Todd’s girlfriend(or the theater girl) is gonna turn out to be semi-evil in future seasons, and that Doctor Champion was part of some group that was studying Endless, but he escaped to protect it?
Want to hear my twelve forever theories? No? OK great! Firstly, I think all of the inhabitants are either past humans or manifestations created by past humans (like Guy pleasant or Sadmantha). Secondly, I think the reason the butt witch used to have a grown-up Wonderland was because she was manifested by a previous kid on endless who is experiencing the same struggles with puberty/bodily changes/growing up (it would be fun if this previous kid was Reggie’s mom, but her mom expressed not having struggled with puberty and in fact having readily excepted the changes, so this theory doesn’t exactly check out). I think one out of two scenarios could’ve happened: either the butt witch could’ve defeated the kid (meaning that the kid had finally excepted puberty and learned to “put away childish things”) or the kid just stopped coming to endless, leaving the butt witch to run/shape the island to her will until the next kid came along, or maybe the island grows less fun/imagination fueled over time without a kid to sustain it and she just preferred it that way I don’t know. Third, endless island is most definitely sentient. As mentioned in a previous theory, it likely sustains itself on the imagination of children. The question is, what are its intentions? My best guess is that it has overall good intentions (to give imaginative children a place to Xpress themselves and interact with others with similar mindsets), but that those intentions are not exactly executed in the healthiest way. I don’t think it intends to drive people insane, I think that’s just a biproduct of indulging oneself in endless (haha see what I did there) fun and play. While fun, play and general dopamine activities are essential to the development and mental health of children, they can’t entirely consume a child’s life without dangerous mental and emotional consequences (which is what has me so worried about the current generation of dopamine fueled, Internet browsing toddlers, but I won’t harp on that). My fourth and final theory relates less to the canon of the show and more to the theme: I think this is a direct parallel to maladaptive daydreaming. While I don’t believe endless island is canonically Reggie’s maladaptive daydream land, I do think this show says quite a lot about the effects that maladaptive daydreaming can have on developing children (especially neurodivergent children, and I do theorize that Reggie is neurodivergent). I’m 21 years old and have had my maladaptive daydream island since I was 13 and I spend more time there on average than I do in the real world. As a result, I have few friends, miss social cues and generally dread social interactions. This show resonates with me more than any other show has and I’m never going to stop loving it, despite how horrible the creator is. My apologies for getting so hyperfixaty and writing a full essay (I genuinely did not think that was where this was going to go), but yeah. Thanks for reading my ramblings. Have a great day and here’s a cookie. 🍪
the way i see it endless is kida like candy having a little bit now and again with the occastinal extra indulgence is fine good even and purposly with holding it from your self may even be harm full in its own ways but eating nothing but candy would probobly make you like doctor champion
The thing is Doctor Champion might not have willingly chosen to stay in Endless. As we saw in spring break forever, it’s entirely possible for a human to only plan staying in Endless a few days but then forgetting that they have to leave and losing track of time causing them to stay forever. And since it’s always day time in Endless, there is no easy way to keep track of time and the residents, especially Guy Pleasant seem to try to keep you there by proposing new activities, it’s very easy to stay a little too long even if you never intended to stay forever. That’s why Enfless is so creepy. You can try to only come there for a few hours whenever you want to escape reality but there is a very good chance that eventually you will slip up and accidentally turn into a permanent resident with your body and mind changed into a weird cartoonish creature.
@@TheoryPop I indeed will if your okay with me retreading a few of your notes as many of it I was again going to cover. Another note I was going to go over was timeline as its possible he could have been a factory worker during the great depression when children were forced to quit school and work in factories.
Or maybe he never willingly chose to stay forever and only wanted to stay for a day or two. But since it’s always day time in Endless and the inhabitants always try to keep your mind occupied, it’s very easy to lose track of time and staying until you forget that you had to get out. Just like we saw in Spring break forever.
It might be possible to date it based on what toys & shows inspired the scenery & citizens, however we do know there are other islands which I think may represent other real world places
I think Endless changes to fit the desires of those who visit it to lure them into staying forever. Butt witch was probably a teenager who was tired of getting treated like a kid and wanted to be respected like an adult so Endless became her grown up wonderland in which everyone recognized her maturity and she was allowed to take part in adult activities like drinking alcohol. Eventually, she stayed too long and lost her mind and memories from the real world and she might have fallen in the volcano on Endless which killed her. Once she was dead, Endkess no longer had to appeal to her desires so it took on the form it needed to appeal to the next visitor, Reggie. Then Reggie dropped the books on puberty in the volcano and since the books were about something that represents her desires (puberty and maturity) and they were dropped where she died, it created a new body for her to be revived in. Since Butt witch doesn’t know how Endless works she blames Reggie and her friends for the island now looking childish which is the opposite of what she wants and since she is now crazy from staying in Endless for too long, she tries to kill them for it. I am not sure when the Butt witch came to endless other than at least a few years before Reggie did but based on her character design, I would say probably during the 1980s because her suit has kind of 80s vibes.

left in about two minutes of incorrect conjecture that is immediately amended within the same video just to pad the thing out to ten minutes. this shit right here is why I never disable adblock.
I actually more left that in because I still thought the point itself was interesting, if not entirely correct. I’ve seen other creators use similar methods to address mistakes or correct information in scripts or content that they had already done work in and later found an error in what was being presented. I didn’t intentionally try to “pad” this to ten minutes, if you look at the average length of videos on the channel you’ll see the majority fall well short of this. Appreciate the honest feedback though, I’ll keep it in mind for future work.

I think dr champion went to endless when he was an adult and then he broke his endless key totem whatever makes him go to endless and he was trapped in endless and now he coo coo crazy
I wanted to see where the show was going with this. I want another season! DX
Child labor laws are fairly new, who's to say Doctor Champion didn't get hurt in a factory as a child and escape his crippling poverty?
That’s possible, but I feel like the drivers license defies that. It’s a more modern, recent style of Kentucky licence. Unless Endless produces the latest equivalent to US licenses, which can’t be ruled out since it is capable of all sorts of magical shenanigans.
Hooray!
I love that show to bad it probably won’t come back
Hey you should definitely do want about the butt which notice how she always says my island it wasn’t really my hi school that means she had a high school in the past and she is humanoid there is only two other characters that are humanoid and they are pacifically made of people that are gone now or memories of them but somehow she is not and Dr. champion used to be from earth right he’s humanoid and the But which is as well there is so many theories backing us up please do one about how she is secretly human
I totally agree there was something off with him but I couldn't figure out why and I thought the "I can't read line" then having a meltdown was just like the joke of seferian looking lady which I find problem with those joke for feeling cheap and unsatisfying ruining the build up in the episode or moment of the show
Reggie is my favorite character in the show

left in about two minutes of incorrect conjecture that is immediately amended within the same video just to pad the thing out to ten minutes. this shit right here is why I never disable adblock.
@@TheoryPop I'm sorry man I left that comment too early into the video and was in a bad mood at the time. I found the whole video interesting enough to keep me til the end. I really hope my stupid comment didn't ruin your night. I'm actually gonna subscribe because you've got a really listenable voice and seem passionate about what you do. Sorry again for being an asshole. You didn't deserve that.
Hey, it’s no problem! Looking back, I can see how it could look like “padding” out the video runtime. I could have explained myself a little more clearly in the video itself as to why I left it in. Thanks for watching, and thank you for subscribing as well, really appreciate that!
