Ooo, goodie! A haul! I always enjoy your show and tells. Certainly looking forward to a look at your holiday outfits; complete with linked tutorials hopefully! Stay safe. Cliftons Handtooled Western Supply Company, started by Everett Clifton Wood and his wife Mattie, in 1955, established in Ardmore,Texas, and produced leather goods from 50s through to at least 70s. Purses like yours usually sell from $50, very sought after and collectable.
I don't know if it's weird to say, but it's nice to see the casual side of your vintage wardrobe (since I recall in the past you've stated that you gravitate more towards formal-ish vintage, i.e. suiting, etc.). You rock both casual and formal really well! I personally have started collecting and wearing more vintage sportswear and leisurewear in the past year or two, for obvious reasons lol. I would love to see road trip themed lookbook or vintage packing list if you're up to it!!
Great finds! I would definitely love to see the stuff you have sewn for your trip as a lookbook, it would be nice to get some ideas of what to pack while still dressing vintage. Maybe some tips for fabric types that pack well and don't require pressing and ways to pack to prevent wrinkles.
It’s getting harder and harder to find those structured box handbags, for me that is anyways. But the thing I love about those purses is sound of the closing of the clasp.
I love how thoughtful you are in making additions to your wardrobe, finding ways that new things can fit together beautifully with what you already have.
I am not sure, my dear, as I could not see the logo clearly, but I believe that is a Clifton Heritage bag. The company has been around in one form or another for so long, I believe still going strong by means of cheap Australian leather and the strength of their own old designs.
Clifton's in LA in the 1950s had a treasure chest near the exit where kids could pick out a treasure. No gift shop that I recall. I'm sure by now everyone has googled Clifton's leather. I appreciate that you tell us the price. Thrifting prices can vary so much, it's fun for me to know what others are spending.
Hope you are back from your trip. Hope all is ok with dearest Cleo. Lovely cognac bag!!! Love the aka Pendleton 49er. Looks great on you. 🍂🍁♥️🍁🍂. It seems like your purchases were MEANT!!! Of course, we want to see any & all things you pick up!!! 🍂🍁🕷🍁🍂
For my birthday I allowed myself a trip to the thrift store. While there I picked up several vintage woodworking books for my uncle. Most were from the seventies but not all. Two of them contained designs for wooden handbags and I must admit that even though woodworking isn't my thing, and I don't need any more hobbies, I kind of really want to make them. I doubt Id use them for actual day to day wear but for holding crafting supplies? For some reason that really appeals to me lol I hope your trip goes smoothly. Happy adventuring!
The best thing, to me, about your haul share is your excitement. Looks like you purchased some well-kept items that you will greatly enjoy. I say, "Absolutely!" to your sharing your trip, your wardrobe for your trip and your finds. Hope your journey is going safely and well.
Hello lovely lady! I hope you're having an amazing holiday. I have been fortunate enough to visit Death Valley, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon on a holiday to the US many years ago 😍 YES PLEASE to road trip wardrobe look book. YES PLEASE to road trip haul! Looking forward to both of those!
Thanks for bringing us along with you. You found some fun items. We are not venturing out much as we have our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter. We are doing preschool at home this year.
I didnt know Boeing had a facility in Denver! My husband works at the plant in Everett. I haven't ever been to Denver but I've always wanted to go. I've heard it's a fun place to visit. I love the outfits you put together! I've been super inspired by land girls and factory workers from the 40s for inspo in my vintage style clothing
ooooh all the clothes are so cute! 10/10 would love a practical vintage lookbook for going hiking/working/gardening etc because that's the one area I really struggle with! Have fun on your holiday!
I’m glad to have found you. I enjoyed the video. We watch vintage movies on TCM. I really enjoy Noir Alley on Sunday morning. I especially enjoy checking out the fashions.
Oh my goodness I’ve missed you now I’m a carer for my mom longer videos are hard to watch so yay I caught you in a shorter video! Your hair looks incredible xx
I have a pink tweed and leather box bag, it was a gift from the 90's. Unfortunately I'm a giant purse full of junk kind of person lol. I use it as shelf decor. Would love to see a haul and lookbook when you get back. Hope you're having a wonderful time!
Clifton's was a leather goods company that sold amazing hand-tooled bags that had their heyday in the 50s-70s. They were based out of Ardmore, Oklahoma which was kind of a hotbed of leather goods companies of the era. (My extended fam is all from OK!) Clifton's itself was birthed from Ardmore's Western Supply Company that also sold leather goods, and they encouraged other leather goods designers like Jo-o-Kay to come to Ardmore. Jo-o-Kay did some amazing leather and suede fashions as well as bags. Definitely worth a google!
I’d love to see the things you made for your trip. I’m sure you will look very dashing. If you have a chance (I know you deserve a vacation from RUclips) it would be cool to see you model the outfits in beautiful surroundings. I like seeing vintage as day wear. You put it together so nicely it looks elegant, not costumey.
I hope you have a fun trip, be safe and I absolutly want to see what you have sewen for this getaway as well as anything you may purchase while away. I really hope things go well for you.
I have seen a"Jenny" brand here in Germany in the 80s. They offered sandals, bags and shoes, both in real leather and that superthin velour-y, almost faux chamois that was called Alcantara and was all the rage. Their logo was black on white, the lettering somewhat reminiscent of hand writing. I wonder if your nutmeg-colored bag might be one of those.
You find some amazing vintage items. It would be so wonderful to see the outfits you sewed for your trip. And please please show more outfit styling . Hope you are enjoying you vacation I have enjoyed seeing photos on Instagram.
Great handbags! Enjoyable vid-would love to see what you wore and what you come back with! I agree I don't go without a mask, and I've been vaccinated three times!! LOL Virus' change so they can survive-always good to be cautious! :+)
What great finds! And we always, always want to see your hauls! Without a doubt. So if you find anything on your trip we'd love to see it in a future video. I'm really digging the box purses too - they're just too cute!
Hi Bianca!! You look amazing, love your top too.. Absolutely finds from the thrift store or antique store.. Hopefully you’ll find some amazing finds on your out & about…. 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵

Great finds! I would definitely love to see the stuff you have sewn for your trip as a lookbook, it would be nice to get some ideas of what to pack while still dressing vintage. Maybe some tips for fabric types that pack well and don't require pressing and ways to pack to prevent wrinkles.
Yes I agree. I would like to see how you combine vintage and your travel wardrobe.
Cliftons made hand tooled leather goods (I have a wallet from the 60s) but they were big from 50s - late 70s!
I always enjoy watching the vintage hauls… so yes if you do find things 🤩
Have a wonderful adventure!
We want to see it all!!!!!! Things you made AND things you find please!
It’s getting harder and harder to find those structured box handbags, for me that is anyways.
But the thing I love about those purses is sound of the closing of the clasp.
Definitely would like to see any more finds from your trip and a sample of what you made!
+1
Look books are always welcome, have fun in the middle of nowhere!
I thought I'd let you know that I recently bought a 'Dad shirt' and it was the best choice of my life!
I had been inspired to purchase one also, incidentally wore it today as well.
Love a dad shirt!! ✨
I love how thoughtful you are in making additions to your wardrobe, finding ways that new things can fit together beautifully with what you already have.
Now that you have quite a few brown accessories, you should do a vintage styled dark academia lookbook!
ABSOLUTELY haul and sewn lookbook! Do you really need to ask? Best of luck on your trip!
I, too share your joy at finding a unique, vintage item for a few quid/bucks/not much!
Regards,
Tony.
I hope you have fun and stay safe on the trip.... Btw...of course I want to see any goodie you find while your out and about.😎
Ofc we want another haul when you get back :D I can't wait :).
Stay safe on the road an come back in one piece and yes to haul videos, and seeing your off camera sewing!
I am not sure, my dear, as I could not see the logo clearly, but I believe that is a Clifton Heritage bag. The company has been around in one form or another for so long, I believe still going strong by means of cheap Australian leather and the strength of their own old designs.
I've been into box bags too! This video made my day. Now I'm inspired to find more as they are so hard to find.

Northern California, Sacramento . Vintage and charity shops are great to shop if your ever in the area.
