As a young adult in Ontario, I can confirm-- SmartBoards were such a dogshit scam. The reason they would have such bad delay and needed to be recalibrated so often, was because they were literally just a touch screen connected to a projector. The ones we had at my middle school and high school were so blatantly ignored, that at one time, a substitute teacher ended up writing on one with a dry erase marker before anyone could stop her. The school was unable to clean the screen, so the smartboard went untouched for the rest of the semester, at least. For the last 2 years of my attendance at that school, we literally only used SmartBoards to project movies for class, and student presentations that used Powerpoint presentations.
The Puppet was always my favourite thing about FNAF 3 because of how insane things become on the somewhat rare occasions that she shows up and when she won me a huge amount of nonbeliever balls I started liking her even more.

if you look closely you can see that during the vr segment the lag is not actually regular lag, the game is visibly still running just fine the entire time, it looks like its the headset randomly losing tracking/connection to the game. I usually use air link over link cable so I do not know all the fixes but it might help with basic troubleshooting if you ever want to do a vr stream again (start by checking stuff like if your lights in your room might be interfering, or if the cable is properly connected/not damaged, etc etc)
You can't be using Air Link over a cable because the whole point of Air Link is that it's wireless, otherwise it's just *A Link Cable*. That said, Air Link is notorious for just being horrid, so that's likely 90% of the problem.

tips for fnaf 3 never, under any circumstances look at cam 8. don't do it because it is alot better to not know where he is because you aren't checking cam 8 than it is to check cam 8 and get screwed over by the puppet. keep him at cam 10, and keep the vent there sealed, this is also where he starts each night. when he enteres a vent (which is probably the vent near cam 10 if you listen to the last tip) reboot all your devices, you should be able to pull it off before he exits the sealed vent, you can also listen for thumping while rebooting to see if he is still in the vent. do all this and the game becomes a cake walk.

Hey spiff, probably part of the issue with your VR lag is the fact you use airlink. I'd recommend using a good USB-3 cable, it'd make your game run much better
I have a feeling Spiff caught on to us, because my favorite video to rewatch from him was where he beat all of the games (and the VR ones), this is a sequel just for us lurkers who give him the phenomenal rewatch time his channel has.

Hey spiff! I've been an avid VR player for a few years now, and I can automatically tell you that the lag issue is simply an Oculus Quest 2 to PC streaming issue, your best bet for future VR streaming is to simply get a good PCVR headset

i've watched this video so many times, and now i feel like commenting on the pinball machines. i have a digital one, but it's a digital screen that has hundreds of games. it still has the nob you pull for the ball and the buttons for the (hitters?) idk what they're called. the things that hit the ball. and it vibrates/shakes accordingly to what's going on in the game. it's pretty realistic for what it worth, and being able to play multiple different games on it is cool. plus the upkeep is easier. traditional pinball machines you're talking about use rubberbands to basically power the whole things movement. there's not many technicians out in the world that will fix them anymore, and when something DOES break in them, it's a hell of a lot of trouble to fix.
i like how in fnaf 6 the animatronics just watch you log off and walk out and don’t do anything at all like “dammit he clicked it we’re done for tonight
I will say this about the lore and book situation, it feels like the recent books are trying to help get the community on the right track since everyone was all over the place with their theories and, with how aggressive the community can be, if you disagree with their theory or they dislike yours then all hell breaks loose. Things like GGY feel like they’re saying “here’s what you need to go off of to get an idea of what we’re trying to tell you.”
It would've been cool if you were actually holding a flash beacon in that VR game... instead of just spawning a flash of light from... your... eyes... Yes, your eyes.... sure.
You know what could make this even faster? Having the first few FNaF games running at the same time. Night 5 may require constant attention, but all the first nights is are cakewalks.
On the topic of smart boards, yes the brand "Smart" sucked, (past tense) They were bulky, slow, poorly implemented. They used a really awful touch tracking system that indeed did need a lot of calibration. More modern ones (like promethean boards) use true capacitive touch which is accurate and needs little to no calibrating. They're also faster and less bulky now with more features and even advanced enough to do everything over usb-c. A massive improvement. I'm IT for a school and trust me, we have two of the Smart boards left over from yesteryear and we REALLY want to get rid of them. lol

As a young adult in Ontario, I can confirm-- SmartBoards were such a dogshit scam. The reason they would have such bad delay and needed to be recalibrated so often, was because they were literally just a touch screen connected to a projector. The ones we had at my middle school and high school were so blatantly ignored, that at one time, a substitute teacher ended up writing on one with a dry erase marker before anyone could stop her. The school was unable to clean the screen, so the smartboard went untouched for the rest of the semester, at least. For the last 2 years of my attendance at that school, we literally only used SmartBoards to project movies for class, and student presentations that used Powerpoint presentations.
The Puppet was always my favourite thing about FNAF 3 because of how insane things become on the somewhat rare occasions that she shows up and when she won me a huge amount of nonbeliever balls I started liking her even more.
This guy is equally as obsessed with Fnaf as Game Theory is, but at a completely different angle.

if you look closely you can see that during the vr segment the lag is not actually regular lag, the game is visibly still running just fine the entire time, it looks like its the headset randomly losing tracking/connection to the game. I usually use air link over link cable so I do not know all the fixes but it might help with basic troubleshooting if you ever want to do a vr stream again (start by checking stuff like if your lights in your room might be interfering, or if the cable is properly connected/not damaged, etc etc)

You can't be using Air Link over a cable because the whole point of Air Link is that it's wireless, otherwise it's just *A Link Cable*. That said, Air Link is notorious for just being horrid, so that's likely 90% of the problem.
Virtual Desktop on the quest is 10 times more stable than airlink plus tons of extra options to get a smoother experience

tips for fnaf 3
never, under any circumstances look at cam 8. don't do it because it is alot better to not know where he is because you aren't checking cam 8 than it is to check cam 8 and get screwed over by the puppet.
keep him at cam 10, and keep the vent there sealed, this is also where he starts each night.
when he enteres a vent (which is probably the vent near cam 10 if you listen to the last tip) reboot all your devices, you should be able to pull it off before he exits the sealed vent, you can also listen for thumping while rebooting to see if he is still in the vent.
do all this and the game becomes a cake walk.

Hey spiff, probably part of the issue with your VR lag is the fact you use airlink.
I'd recommend using a good USB-3 cable, it'd make your game run much better

Hey spiff! I've been an avid VR player for a few years now, and I can automatically tell you that the lag issue is simply an Oculus Quest 2 to PC streaming issue, your best bet for future VR streaming is to simply get a good PCVR headset

i've watched this video so many times, and now i feel like commenting on the pinball machines.
i have a digital one, but it's a digital screen that has hundreds of games. it still has the nob you pull for the ball and the buttons for the (hitters?) idk what they're called. the things that hit the ball. and it vibrates/shakes accordingly to what's going on in the game. it's pretty realistic for what it worth, and being able to play multiple different games on it is cool.
plus the upkeep is easier. traditional pinball machines you're talking about use rubberbands to basically power the whole things movement. there's not many technicians out in the world that will fix them anymore, and when something DOES break in them, it's a hell of a lot of trouble to fix.
i like how in fnaf 6 the animatronics just watch you log off and walk out and don’t do anything at all like “dammit he clicked it we’re done for tonight

I will say this about the lore and book situation, it feels like the recent books are trying to help get the community on the right track since everyone was all over the place with their theories and, with how aggressive the community can be, if you disagree with their theory or they dislike yours then all hell breaks loose. Things like GGY feel like they’re saying “here’s what you need to go off of to get an idea of what we’re trying to tell you.”

On the topic of smart boards, yes the brand "Smart" sucked, (past tense) They were bulky, slow, poorly implemented. They used a really awful touch tracking system that indeed did need a lot of calibration.
More modern ones (like promethean boards) use true capacitive touch which is accurate and needs little to no calibrating. They're also faster and less bulky now with more features and even advanced enough to do everything over usb-c. A massive improvement. I'm IT for a school and trust me, we have two of the Smart boards left over from yesteryear and we REALLY want to get rid of them. lol
