Money helps in alot of ways. even in the title of videos :) and is there not even another summerboard company who sells electric freeboard?

Yeah it definitely does! Unfortunately there isn't, road snowboarding is a duopoly 👌

Freebord for downhill + summerboard to ride in town = best combo.

    Excellent video!
Now for my loyal freeborder opinion. You said something about Summmerboard "bringing snowboarding to flat ground"... which is what my summerboard hateration is hinged on...no one ever tried to bring snowboarding to flat ground ... because the primary function and purpose of snowboarding is riding down hills. So when I hear Summboard being compared to snowboarding I cringe a bit. Its like bring swimming to dry land, it just doesnt work that way. So while summerboards may function like freebords, which more directly emulate snowboarding they are different enough that they should not claim to be like snowboarding, at least not in the same way that freebords make that claim. I lump them in with all the other flat land boards, most of which leave the comparissons open for the user to determine rather than marketing them as something in particular. Last but not least ... they are too damn expensive. Here they are trying to replicate snowboarding in the summer, and I can buy 3 decent snowboards for the same price. the replication should never be more expensive than the real thing. In fact I could buy a snowboard, boots, bindings and a season pass for less so its just silly IMO.
But again and most importantly, awesome informational video dude!

Yeah I have always thought similar about them branding to snowboarders, I guess they need a market to go for.
As for price, it would be nice to see it cheaper but I'll still buy one eventually even at their current price. It's only a good thing to have more than one company inovating and Summerboard have demonstrated a good track record for this.
Ideally both companies keep running and we can keep supporting them to see how far their desgins can go.
Cheers for the detailed comment and It's good to see you back! 👌

i think i spent as much time working on my v1 summerboard as i did riding it. freebord is a lot more riding time compared to summerboard

This. I love the idea of Summerboard but everything I’ve read about them (including some very high end esk8 builders) it’s just constant maintenance. I don’t mind regular upkeep and occasional repair maintenance, but I don’t have time to spend maintaining a board all the time anymore.

Yeah I've heard this from a lot of people... I guess it's something that's good to know BEFORE you buy one 😅

@@easy_riders i think its like you and masterowl said, good for flat land but not a downhill board. i used it like a ski lift and scraped the motors and ate the edges off the gear wheels for the belts doing really hard slides where you lock the edges up. then the belts started popping every day and ... walking back up the hill with a popped belt every couple days made me realize all the working out and riding wasn't actually getting me in great shape. as an older dude that and the maintenance were why i switched
