Hey, have you ever tried a mountainboard? I'm between buying a summerboard, and an electric mountainboard to commute to work! Tbh, it looks like a mountainboard resembles carving on a snowboard much more, with the summerboard more about skidded turns. What do you think?
@@sebastiandunning9236 I would guess a mountain board is much more straightforward to pick up. As for carving, it can be done on the SBX but it's different, it involves holding the edge with light pressure (rather than digging it in like on snow).
Having ridden both for years, I would say that a mountain board does not resemble the feeling of a snowboard. It’s basically exactly the same as a skateboard feeling but with more cushion and bindings keeping your feet in place. The balance of grip vs slip is essential to the snowboard feeling. You will naturally hold and slide your edges depending on what you want out of the speed, turn, and conditions. Only a freebord or summerboard is going to match both those abilities
I just need to fix my center wheels and I'll be back to riding again. Unfortunately one of the screws is stuck, so I have to figure out how to take it out in order to put in new bearings. 😅😡
