The Largest Cluster in the Milky Way

- The Milky Way galaxy is brimming with globular star clusters. We've discovered more than 150 of these stellar cities in our galaxy, but one of them is unique- Omega Centauri.
This will be my new series- 1 min vertical videos for the RUclips Shorts Platform. It's something I've been working on for a while, and I will use them to deliver you a new type of content ALONGSIDE my normal videos- I will still be producing just as many long-form videos. But Shorts will allow me to target areas such as space news- something I struggle to cover with long-form videos due to how long it takes me.

Hi everyone. This is my first shorts video and I will have more coming in a few days. Please be patient while I figure out the best formats and presentation methods.
New long-form video coming in a few days.
generally like this format. end was a bit abrupt imo :)
Keep this format
This is excellent
love it!!!
Are you trixyblox?
I don’t understand the obsession with short videos. Less is not more. Its Weird to me.
i prefer your longer, in-depth stuff, but also understand that material takes time. these shorts i think are a great way of keeping people engaged, and i for one still really enjoyed this!
Agreed
As long it doesn't make the longer videos take longer to make.
SEA is by far and away my favourite channel on RUclips. I go to sleep listening every single night. Over and over. Amazing content with immaculate delivery. Bravo
Same here. He should release his videos as audio only on Spotify or something as well. Like ASMR content.
I do the same! :D
same here man, nice to see i’m not alone
Damnit for a sec I thought this was a new video. But heyyyy still good!
I’ll have a new one for ya in a few days 😊
@@sea_space man I have to say, you're my favorite space focused channel on RUclips, always waiting for your new videos, keep up the great work😄
What a tease. I want more! The short format doesn’t do justice to the subject matter.
I agree but it is nice and straight to the point
I agree
I saw your announcement earlier and I think this is EXACTLY what you aimed for - you nailed it. Short and sweet, good quality as usual, bro.
Hey SEA, would love to hear your opinion about the JWS telescope launching in few days, I'm so hyped :D
Next shorts vid 😊
@@sea_space still waiting on that short :(
Props to the cameraman for traveling throughout the universe to capture these beautiful pictures.
good info! these would be brilliant as "trailers" for your longer videos! do a short about something then do an in depth info of that short!
Great idea, thank you very much!
@@sea_space I am looking forward to any future video keep it up!
this is too short to fall asleep to!
I love your long videos, they give a lot of information and are way more educational than this, please don’t switch to this short attention span thingy, please please please!!!, I understand that you need to grow your Sub numbers but this is my favorite channel as it is to many others I’m sure, I linger excited whenever you drop a video.
I love these shorts and your longer videos, I like the balance, keep it up!
I also thought this was a new video. Happy Christmas SEA from Montreal.
So thats the cluster of stars I always see at night
Omega Centauri
"Dwarf galaxy". That's like "Jumbo Shrimp".
the fact that our galaxy is this massive, is insane. considering how tiny our galaxy is compared to the universe.
The concepts, the numbers, the enormity.
Imagine standing on a world I'm the middle of this cluster and looking up at the night sky that's never dark.
Always love all your videos, and this short was great. Honestly I look forward to the long format so much, I really hope you don’t give up on those. Definitely my favorite channel!!!
Love that you are doing these too
I have a globular cluster in my garage. It was here when I moved in. I tried stuffing it into a black hole but it wouldn’t fit.
imagine those globular skies... stars alightweek away...
This is the only channel I will be watching shorts from
I wonder how cool the night sky would be on a planet in a cluster like this.
Who else watched this on repeat like 5 times before realizing it's a loop! Lol
*The laws of physics no longer apply to me.*
Honestly, never put in too much thought into black holes being more prevalent in a given galaxy outside presence at their center.
Looking forward to tomorrow's launch!
Imagine the night sky from a planet near the middle of this cluster.
Keep up with the great work! You’re a legend. Going to sleep now, but I’m still listening to your videos. Helps a lot. Great content. Love it! ❤️
Your videos make me happy, the more the better.
I think this channel can succeed with both long and shorts. I'd wager to say it's no surprise that the audience as it is today has a preference for long videos, but there's no reason why you can't do both. I'll watch anything you put out honestly. Love this channel so so much! Thank you for everything ❤
12 billion years ago? That's unbelievable.
Imagine super man stumbles upon this
Short doesn’t work. Love the longer vids
Only short I've truly enjoyed. Keep up the great work :)
I love these! Keep making them!
Best channel on RUclips. Keep it up!
I appreciate your effort, but I think long form videos are much better for what you do. I would concentrate on those rather than these, but that's just me. Either way, thanks for the content, you're easily the best channel for space videos.
Great format, I agree that the end was a bit abrupt, but the information was excellent like always.
As long as your main videos don’t suffer, I like these types of short informational videos!
gud short but i cant sleep to this aa
So fascinating. Thank You SEA. I've never heard of this.... especially the black hole in the cluster...... I absolutely love your channel man.
Loved this short clip but strangely need more…like an addict
Will Robinson would be impressed
We need a full vid on this
Imagine a planetary system with a sentient species in that cluster. How must their night sky look to them with us looming over them.
Do a full episode on this! 🥳
I just checked this cluster out in Space Engine it is very cool!
I was like 😄🤣 then realized it was a short and was like ☹😡
Wow, this is a great attempt at refreshing your format and making it more friendly for other platforms (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram) - nice strategic thinking! I think it's a bit too short, though - 120-180s would probably work better, as well as a slightly more clear-cut opening and ending sequence.
Also, I sincerely missed your hallmark existential-thought-provoking lines. A quick idea I could imagine would be something like "All that has remained of this primordial galaxy is the small galaxy slowly ripped apart over hundreds of millions of years by a larger and stronger Milky Way gravity, which will ultimately dissolve it altogether".
Great little nuggets of information to tide us over until the next video, truly tremendous!
When I die , I hope I can travel among the stars.
Globular. Great word.
Crazy quality amazing content, thank you.
The numbers are so high they don't even mean anything anymore
Good things coming
Really nice short bro. But hard to fall asleep in this short amount of time 🤣
love your channel, I like the shorts idea but would be much more inclined to watch something around 5min than something 1min, hope that's helpful feedback
Great idea!
I like your longer videos but I will also enjoy your shorts. Wait, what?
not sure about vertical alignment - frankly I have no freaking idea how how this even became a thing, when smartphones auto-rotate and horizontal show more relevant information.
I watch RUclips on my TV, so this is even more confusing.
@@RantingThespian Sorry guys this is not a choice of mine, the video needs to be between 9:16 and 1:1 (square) to get onto the Shorts Shelf, where it is posted to new audiences. I heard a rumour that they'd be expanding shorts to any ratio at some point but until then... vertical it has to be.
@@sea_space I have no idea what Short Shelf is. This is appearing in my subscriber video feed.
@@sea_space Nice content dude. These people should be thankful you provide such content without any cost but they have to whine about every single thing.
Cool video! Thanks!
Can't wait for another full video to hear for nights to come
I got to say that i like it!! Thanks again
Awesome!!!
Absolutely amazing
Wonder what aliens living in a cluster see in the night sky
Nicely done. How about a short update on the current status of Betelgeuse? Do you think there's even a slight chance it will go supernova in our lifetime?
man its so crazy that i used to watch your old gd vidoes and now you upload space related videos and i myself just happen to have a huge interest in space, keep it up sea these videos are really good
these comments are so easy to find lol
fresh out of my first college astronomy class, I'm surprised by how much I understood what you just said
How are they investigating my actual body like this, it makes me sick
I bet your a Kiwi. Any time I hear Ohmeeega it’s a giveaway
Fascinating
Excited for the new video, hopefully it will be longer
From one extreme to the other… next one will be like 36 mins hence why it’s taking so long
@@sea_space Very glad to hear it, also James Webb launch was successful ! But everyone probably already knows it
If there were a planet in the middle of that, would it be daylight forever? 🤔
that was fast......... really, really fast. lmao.
thank you
Wow, absolutely beautiful 😍
Hey, i remember when you used to make geometry dash videos lol
So there's a body of an ancient dwarf galaxy going through the milky way with a mini black hole keeping the body together? wtf cool
I thought that black holes, even though beeing at the centre of galaxies, still are not the cause of the galaxy "holding together", since the distance between the stelar objects is far too high for them to experience any gravitational force. Isnt there a far different force acting upon those objects for them to stay on their paths?
Love that accent.. Galaxeeee
A new SEA!
....oh it's one of those youtube short videos... >__>
Wow only 150ly across but 10 million stars... That seems so densely populated considering the closest star to the sun is 4ly away
hi sea its been a long time since i have last viewed your channel, what are thoughts and opinions on the current top 1 demon slaughterhouse? also what do you think of sakupen circles getting verified?
Dayuuuum I thought it was a new video haha, shorts are a great idea tho!
And this is why... it's difficult to get worked up about what humans do and how we think we control _everything..._ More chocolate, please! 😋
Omg I been looking at that every night wondering what it is.
SEA shorts
Wait, are the cluster of omega centauri stars orbiting a black hole??
You pronounced omega differently in 2 seconds
Hell yes.
TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
is this for another platform like tiktok? if so, i think it would be a great way to bring your content to more people!
Sort of. Shorts are RUclips's attempt at competing with tiktok
Got really hyped for a new Sea only for it to be a short...F.
So in 150 LY diameter there are literally 10 MILLION stars, is that correct? Dude imagine the "night" sky on a rocky planet over there 🤣🤩
What an amazing cluster fuck
Perfect
Not another channel falling for this shorts format ..
I mean it's great and all but ..
Don’t Mormons believe that gods live on suns and live in these clusters
