A way to let go of worries and troubles - Calibrate your compass and set sail!

    This beautiful (and eminently practical) concept came from a conversation I recently had with my friend and colleague Charlie (who is also an eminent psychotherapist here in the North West of England).
    First, Calibrate your Compass.
    What do I mean?
    Your compass is your truth. Your core beliefs, your values (I'll give examples in a minute).
    Once you have identified those things that really, really matter to you, then...
    Set Sail
    Let go of your worries and angst - let go of all those bothersome questions:
    Should I, shouldn't I?
    What will they think?
    Will it work?
    Will I look a fool?
    But I should have... If only I'd... When I get (x) I'll be able to...
    Untether yourself from all that and simply let go. Set out into the world and be guided in everything you do by your true values.
    Simply 'Set Sail' and your true values will always guide you in the best direction - for you.
    A few of my core values are:
    Love, Friendship, Kindness, Independence, fun, Honesty, Integrity.
    I believe that it's never too late to absolutely transform your life for the better - small, consistent steps are the key.
    Finding your rhythm - walk to the beat of your own drum.
    Encouragement and Love - I want the very best for people.
    And I'm a rebel. I only follow rules if they make sense to me (and fit with my values and beliefs).
