Just the idea of Gwyn finally getting a chance to take his son down a peg / Faraam finally getting a chance to stick it to his dad just fits so well. The almost immediate change to The Soul of Gwyn was very reminiscent of Fume Knight Raime immediately going into Phase 2 if you wear Velstadt's Helm due to past... disputes between the two.

Yup, he is the only boss that can consistently kill Midir (Yhorm gets staggered too much by fire and isn't able to dodge too much). Kinda like Malenia-Maliketh. Maliketh is the only boss that can consistently kill Malenia. Gael, Midir and Yhorm are on another level compared to other bosses.
@@fallen9997 You are right. I just remembered him beating Midir I think. Midir was mostly taking damage on his head though. To this day, he still remains my favourite boss in all soulsborne series. I just forgot that he did too much damage because nervous rolling and getting one-shotted was the way to get him to know and sweet Jesus that OST is phenomenal.

I believe Manus can be compared to the power of the dark soul except maybe a tad weaker for gael. Gael was taken over by the dark soul mid battle, so he has potential which we cut off by the end of the fight. Manus was the physical manifestation of the abyss itself and the source, he was in his prime when we fought him and in every way, was the reason for Alot of the problems in dark souls 3 and every problem in dark souls 2. Manus was defeated by the player in dark souls 1 and thus SoC carrys that chosen undeads soul. Lore accurate SoC is Insanely underplayed in the game compared to his lores strength. Still would lose to prime Vendrick though, he is just broken, and we don't know if dark souls 2 bearer of the curse is even in the SoC canonically so we can't really count them. But I do believe the bearer and gael being connected because of the dark sign similarities in the opening scene and on gaels model.

(because vendrick isn't a god) And she nice traces if aldia (The scholar) are found in dark souls 3, he may not have even met the bearer or challenged them and dying before the bearer makes their choice. We never get confirmation on if the bearer linked the flame, but we also know that Vendrick linked the flame for a bit before hiding away. So it is possible that at least a fraction of his soul is in the flame and if the bearer linked the flame with vendricks soul devoured, then SoC may be stronger. Although I refuse to believe gael is stronger than Manus. Enemies don't have levels like the player. They just have set stats that scale with NG cycle. In this video, all Bosses are on NG.
