He did great! If my husband had good taste, I’d make him my personal shopper! I love the blue dress on you more than on the model…tempted to buy it but I recently bought a light blue long sleeve linen maxi from jcrew and I am trying to avoid too many similar items.

He did great, I love all three items on you! For myself, I would pass on the blue shirt dress, but I’m a bit thicker around the middle than you. It will require a ton of ironing, though. Last summer I decluttered all my shirt dresses because of weight loss. Plus, they weren’t really the quality I wanted. Cheap, thin woven cottons, like H&M’s don’t wash or iron well, I don’t buy them there anymore. These items look much better quality.

I like some items at &Other Stories, when they don’t contain synthetics. I got two great 100% wool dresses from them over the winter. I live in wool or cashmere dresses on cold days, especially at home, they’re so comfy (with cashmere knee-high socks and a silk underlayer). To go out, I just add knee-high or higher boots and a coat, and a belt if needed for shaping. I just put all my woolies into use their winter storage bags, but we still get chilly mornings (San Francisco). Thanks❤

How fun, I can’t wait to see what he picked for you! Is he as stylish as you? Do you dress him? I always dressed my husband because otherwise he just threw on anything. One casual day he wore white shorts, white sneakers, but with a pair of black wool, mid-calf, dress socks for the office! I got him a pair of his white cotton sports socks to wear instead and he was very grateful. Some men pay attention to their outfits, but many don’t. We women tend to grow up styling clothes with our Moms, so it comes naturally to us. Plus, many men are color-blind. While in college, I worked styling men’s “furnishings”, when they would bring a suit to be fitted out with shirts, ties and other accessories. Often, these were just-purchased new suits from that department store (defunct now, later taken over by Macy’s). Then, I would accompany them to the shoe department to make sure that they got that right, too. The customers loved it, after all, I was a sexy young lady, and I had so much fun helping them choose the best styles and colors for them.

My husband is not really interested in fashion but we have been together more than 20 years and I live and breathe fashion everyday, every second of my life. I do sometimes feel sorry for him for listing to my fashion news all day long 😅.. I also always show him my finds and purchases. 💕
