I have to happily agree with you. Superman has defeated the strongest of magic, he was sometimes the last one standing and unaffected by magic while everyone else around succumbed. And I believe the reason why he's vulnerable to magic is because of his dislike of it which then he allows it to psychologically affect him. You can't really say magic is a weakness of his because he can be powered by it, and even wield it. It's all in his head. Now I think I'll get a cookie.

Yeah. I also think Superman would win. 1. As you said, Superman could handle anything Thor has, including magic. 2. While both of them could absorb energy to become more powerful, it seems like Clark is better at doing it, and his power increases to a higher level than Thor's. Thor had the Odin/Thor Force and still had to absorb all of Galactus' power to take down Black Winter. On the other hand, a dying Superman just spent a little time flying through a few suns and absorbing energy from them, and he became so powerful that he knocked down World Forger and destroyed his multiverse with a single punch. I think it's safe to assume that Black Winter and World Forger are more or less equal. So, before absorbing that energy, Clark was way weaker than Thor was; he absorbed less energy than Thor, and he was still able to perform a comparable feat to that of Thor. 3. At the end of Immortal Thor #3, in that Q&A (or whatever it's called), Al Ewing answered to a fan, "Loki's definitely up to something, Benny, as we've seen these last couple of issues-but does it relate to Udgard, and if so, how?" Now, it doesn’t exactly say that this story is basically Loki f***ing with everybody, but it's a possibility.

The Black Winter was going to become the thing that caused the Omniversal barriers between Marvel and DC to break down, similar to what the Anti-Monitor did in Crisis on Infinite Earths. But again, the Pandemic occurred and this idea was scrapped, the events that would take place however are stated to be a big threat to even Superman as it necessitated The Hulk dying in battle to save him and Superman himself fighting Thor in a 1v1 confrontation due to the aftermath of their Cosmologies clashing. This is directly stated to have happened already by Doctor Manhattan, or to have happened for him as he can see all of time at every point, Thor is nowhere near a small threat for Superman.

Yeah it depends on what you define with the word 'weakness'. Magic isn't a weakness of Superman more than any other character (unless they are magic users). But it is technically a weakness or vulnerability compared to his other attributes.

Traditionally kryptonians are invulnerable to blunt/physical force under a yellow sun(supposed to be atleast) and magic is supposed to be an exploit to this invulnerability because it can actually do harm if it’s strong enough. All of these are literal fundamental forces of the marvel multiverse and entities, thor has fought people with the same characteristics as superman. He can even absorb his sun attacks and eye beams and even his life force even blasting him with 1000x more power. He also has warrior madness a 10x boost and he has the god blast which can destroy immortal and conceptual gods of high outerversal such as Black winter, galactus, etc. He even fought Hulk who currently can destroy entities more powerful then The one below all. Thor definitely has this specially with the fact that he as well represents hope in marvel.

Current Thor. He’s only gotten even more capable since Aaron’s God Butcher arc. Now he’s fighting a primordial God, a version of himself and hurting it.
I think Superman takes this a bit more comfortably. Thor has crazy scaling but I don't think he scales massively above certain things unlike Superman just blatantly shrugging off shit. Thor beat Knull because of weaknesses he could exploit. He doesn't scale massively above Loki or the elder gods and you could argue doesn't, at least not yet. And now Superman bodied magic from the origin of magic. I remember Bizarro being hit with the strongest magic which he absorbed and went to throw hands with a Superman who held back. I think it is a lot more comfortable than it is.
what i just dont like about superman is he is very inconsistent. dude can tank hits from Gods and abstracts but sometimes would struggle to lift a not so heavy thing or get beaten by street tier goons.

Narratively Superman wins everytime 100% the story of Superman is above the writers at this point. On a non narrative fight Thor has a chance if its high versions of Thor like Rune King going against base Superman.
Narratives and Multiversal Concepts is only a DC thing. If Marvel played with that Thor would be Hope and many more things or Hulk would be Strength or Strongest One There Is and would literally never lose to any being.

This is still tricky for me because I can totally see either pulling out the victory and I wouldn't be mad. Both are High Outerversal, Immeasurable-Irrelevant Speed, BFR not a problem, has lots of combat experience, both are inconsistent in comic's were they aren't the main lead (had to add that one for the memes) Superman can tank pretty much all of DC's magic, meanwhile Thor can handle God of Stories Loki. I remember you did a video a while back about Marvel magic probably being stronger then DC magic. If that is the case Thor can probably hurt Superman with it. But Superman also has that Metaverse narrative that will bring him back but Thor can now cut and manipulate narratives. Can he do it to Superman - gonna have to wait for this run to finish to tell fully. However, Superman has dealt with narrative manipulators before so maybe it doesn't matter. It's so close but if I had to give an answer I'd say Superman right now because I feel like he would be the one to somehow come back first if they both died from the fight.

Here is my superboy prime take. He is not stronger than clark (he is clark) just a clark who does not hold back. this is a look at an actual superman who does not hold back. Thor has matured greatly but at the end of the day he does not have Superman's belief system of hope and although both have ridiculous fortitude, Supes is just not giving up.
At this point, why even say he’s vulnerable to magic if the most powerful magic users can’t bring him down? It would be like saying the symbiotes in marvel are vulnerable to fire but then repeatedly showcase how no amount of fire can bring them down. I have no idea what DC has done with Superman these days. If we talk classic Supes against classic Thor, Supes gets the nod based solely on speed. We never saw Thor fling blows around with the speed of Flash or someone like that. If we are talking about Thor with the Odin power, that's a whole new kettle of fish. We've seen Zeus, a god with a power level roughly that of Odin, slap the Hulk around like he was nothing. So I'd expect King Thor to be far stronger than Superman. The other aspects of the Odin power should allow Thor to negate any speed advantage on Supes' part. I'm not familiar with the version of Thor you're talking about here. He seems to beyond even King Thor or Old King Thor, both of whom have defeated Galactus. Granted, old King Thor needed the Necro Sword to finish the job. This vid is the first time I ever heard anyone suggest there was a version of Thor more potent than Rune King Thor. He should be able to easily defeat any version of Supes that I've ever seen. If DC has decided to make Superman virtually all-powerful they're going to have problems with future stories. Who is he going to fight? How will he fit in with the Justice League if he is far tougher than all of them together? Marvel is going to have the same problem with King Thor.

I really would like to know how many of these fans have been in fights because no one seems to understand how important experience is it will overcome strength and speed and Thor is beyond an expert in combat. Just saying mabey look in to the champions of the world and you will see they aren't the strongest or fastest they are simply more skilled

2. While both of them could absorb energy to become more powerful, it seems like Clark is better at doing it, and his power increases to a higher level than Thor's. Thor had the Odin/Thor Force and still had to absorb all of Galactus' power to take down Black Winter. On the other hand, a dying Superman just spent a little time flying through a few suns and absorbing energy from them, and he became so powerful that he knocked down World Forger and destroyed his multiverse with a single punch. I think it's safe to assume that Black Winter and World Forger are more or less equal. So, before absorbing that energy, Clark was way weaker than Thor was; he absorbed less energy than Thor, and he was still able to perform a comparable feat to that of Thor.
3. At the end of Immortal Thor #3, in that Q&A (or whatever it's called), Al Ewing answered to a fan, "Loki's definitely up to something, Benny, as we've seen these last couple of issues-but does it relate to Udgard, and if so, how?"

I think Superman takes this a bit more comfortably. Thor has crazy scaling but I don't think he scales massively above certain things unlike Superman just blatantly shrugging off shit. Thor beat Knull because of weaknesses he could exploit. He doesn't scale massively above Loki or the elder gods and you could argue doesn't, at least not yet. And now Superman bodied magic from the origin of magic. I remember Bizarro being hit with the strongest magic which he absorbed and went to throw hands with a Superman who held back. I think it is a lot more comfortable than it is.

Current Thor and Superman are powerful af - their feats are absurdly insane and their conceptual narrative symbolism transcends almost anything within their cosmologies. So, who carries more weight within their cosmology? If I had to choose, I would probably give it to Superman, but he will need every drop of his Detective Comics "HOPE" to take that W (maybe a quick dip too).

Superman can tank pretty much all of DC's magic, meanwhile Thor can handle God of Stories Loki. I remember you did a video a while back about Marvel magic probably being stronger then DC magic. If that is the case Thor can probably hurt Superman with it.
But Superman also has that Metaverse narrative that will bring him back but Thor can now cut and manipulate narratives. Can he do it to Superman - gonna have to wait for this run to finish to tell fully. However, Superman has dealt with narrative manipulators before so maybe it doesn't matter.

Superman is not a character. He is a symbol thats why he cant be rewritten or erased or dealt with in that way. He might as well be the words that are written for all the characters of DC. I have no idea what DC has done with Superman these days. If we talk classic Supes against classic Thor, Supes gets the nod based solely on speed. We never saw Thor fling blows around with the speed of Flash or someone like that. If we are talking about Thor with the Odin power, that's a whole new kettle of fish. We've seen Zeus, a god with a power level roughly that of Odin, slap the Hulk around like he was nothing. So I'd expect King Thor to be far stronger than Superman. The other aspects of the Odin power should allow Thor to negate any speed advantage on Supes' part.
I'm not familiar with the version of Thor you're talking about here. He seems to beyond even King Thor or Old King Thor, both of whom have defeated Galactus. Granted, old King Thor needed the Necro Sword to finish the job. This vid is the first time I ever heard anyone suggest there was a version of Thor more potent than Rune King Thor. He should be able to easily defeat any version of Supes that I've ever seen.
If DC has decided to make Superman virtually all-powerful they're going to have problems with future stories. Who is he going to fight? How will he fit in with the Justice League if he is far tougher than all of them together? Marvel is going to have the same problem with King Thor.
If magic is a weakness to Superman then Black Adam amping him should have hurt him instead but no it made him more powerful.

I really would like to know how many of these fans have been in fights because no one seems to understand how important experience is it will overcome strength and speed and Thor is beyond an expert in combat. Just saying mabey look in to the champions of the world and you will see they aren't the strongest or fastest they are simply more skilled
I cant say thor is more powerful than peak odin because even as thor is now he still cant handle the all power and he always blacks out after using his power. He has to lose his eye like to even reach his full potential.

Current Thor is wayyyyyy beyond superman, he constantly evolves as a god tru trials and growth, he's an immortal God and superman is just an alien that they keep amping up for no logical reason, he's boring and his solution to every problem is to punch harder, there's just no contest character wise and power wise, Thor is better, superman just has no depth.

Yeah Clark has some crazy feats, scaling, and statements. Gotta give it to him. Thor's narrative hax has also gotten to impressive levels. The way I see it current Thor's narrative hax can't possibly scale above the World Forger, who wasn't really giving Superman that much trouble in a fight
