I think when it comes to female creators, the question isn't "Would you watch them *if you knew they were good*?" but: "Would you watch them if you had no guarantee they were good?", and "Would you share their stuff?"
Seems like since the Immortal Hulk run where he found out the true nature of his origins and his connection to divinity, that Hulks overall base level and standing in the universe has taken a big jump.
According to the writer this isn't even Hulks limit, apparently he has another more monstrous form AFTER 'Fractured Son' level. Hulk definitely seems to be being pushed as the #1 powerhouse in Marvel rn.
He was always number 1. He’s to marvel what Superman is to dc. It’s just that marvel rarely finds writers who can write a hulk story that isn’t boring yet simultaneously kicks ass. It’s like how the Russo brothers just side lined him in infinity war because he would be too strong and they had no idea what to do with him.
The Breaker Apart is what I assume you're talking about, which is what happens when Hulk becomes fully possessed by The One Below All. Yea at that point he's basically 100% unstoppable as he has the power of Galactus and that of the One Below all.

So, you have some ppl who are saying Thanos has always been stronger than “regular” Hulk at his base and this is bad writing and so on. I’ll simply say that Fractured Son Hulk is different in a couple of ways. He’s already extremely pissed off from recent issues with Banner’s actions, so his base form is already on 10. But also, previous incarnations of the Hulk were always held back by Banner. He always kept them in check to an extent from within.
We saw that he didn’t have the usual level of control over Devil Hulk in the immortal hulk series, but that Hulk cared about Banner like a son, so he held himself back in certain regards. This latest Hulk not only has no kind of regard for Banner whatsoever, he actually wants Banner gone. He allows Banner to be harmed, injured & killed before he comes out. And when he does come out, he makes the transformations as painful as possible for Banner. He does this purposely. And within, he holds Banner hostage. In a way, this is like a bannerless version of Hulk. So, we have two things going on.
1. His base form, if you will, is already extremely pissed. That makes him unusually stronger to begin with.
2. Nothing is holding him back. He is completely free to be as strong as he wants, as deranged as he wants, as powerful as he wants.
That classic line everyone remembers from Thanos where he said he’s always sought to avoid confrontations with the Hulk because, like The Champion of the Universe, he gets stronger as time goes on? That factor is both in play AND rendered null and void here because this Hulk’s base strength is already leagues above many of the other Hulks’ bases and, as we saw, he still has room to get even more pissed off than he starts out!
This isn’t bad writing. This is consistent writing. Consistent for this current fractured son run AND consistent for the character’s decades long narrative. Ppl hate it whenever Toba Hulk is brought up as a version of Hulk because, they say, that’s just Toba possessing the Hulk. What ppl miss about that is that Toba could only do what he did through Hulk’s vessel. He’s the only Hulk powerful enough to contain Toba and the only Hulk powerful enough for Toba to work through.
The Hulk’s power is infinite. That was established decades ago. He’s never come anywhere close to the full range of his abilities, however. Hulk actually has above infinity stones tier power within him. Toba possessing him showed a lot more of that range. And the more the Hulk gets in tune with his ancient, primordial essence, the more he will actualize his limitless powers.

@@georgesandoval307 Immortal Hulk was great. It was slacking a little bit about midway, but then picked up when the Leader came in and started terrorizing Banner. Cate's run in my opinion was exciting from beginning to end and full of action. Plus Hulk playing 'Godball' on a planet full of gargantuan Hulks was dope. Plus Titan was awesome. Wished Titan stayed and wasn't a one off character, but hopefully he'll come back. I'd like to see a role reversal, where Hulk takes Banner's spot and he's having to control and work with the Titan from within his mind

good fight I'm glad they put more vignettes for the fights that you can feel the movement and the destruction the fight wasn't bad but even though they said that Thanos lost to Hulk please the fight was incomplete since someone literally arrived and interrupted the fight That's a problem with comics, they always cut the best in the most important part. True Thanos fans know hulk will always eventually win. Thanos doesn’t have infinite strength. He also doesn’t typically get increasingly angry. Just potentially mindless, but he’s otherwise rational and logical.
In their infinity war encounter, Thanos used pin point counter strikes and brief moments of brute strength to knock hulk out. That’s fairly accurate for a chance encounter of the two. Hulk initially overwhelming him with brawler like tantrum style.
If heimdall didn’t remove hulk, he would’ve woken up angrier. I don’t see hulk losing an immediate second round.

Hulk has always been one of Marvels most interesting characters but things stepped up a notch in scaling ever since the Immortal Hulk run when he started to address his "green door" and his long beef with the one below all and eventually the one above all.
World breaker Hulk was once the angriest and strongest Hulk we'd seen but his new status as basically a demi god and a threat to God's is power of a different kind on another level. Nobody wants the one on one right now.

This a definitely a win for the Hulk. That chick with the sword just walked over to finish the job. Hulk dealt the last super punch and Thanos got his back blown out. When hulk was biting thanos thanos dropped the stone.Look at the biting panel again . Look at the yellow stone falling out of thanos's hand.That's how colleen got it. Thanos did not have the stone when he was fighting hulk.
Oh and the stone call out to hulk because he is one of ones who is powerful enough to fight thanos,not the only one and hulk was just nearby. Clearly there are others in marvel just as powerful or powerful then hulk.
All of this is irrelevant, hulk won this fight and proved himself to be more stronger and durable than thanos, the end.
It was just bad writing. That is all.

What are you talking about lol. Hulk and thanos tussled like 4 times with no winner. Thanos never beat hulk 1v1. Thanos got the upper hand and was busy getting the stones or having his henchmen take over. The last fight they hit each other a few times and again thanos was not trying to fight the hulk. He admitted that he never wanted to 1v1 hulk. Mcu hulk obviously lost. Why don’t you actually read comics and give factual information before spewing garbage.
Also the only time their was an actual winner but from a different universe was when hulk killed thanos by exploding thanos’s head with a thunder clap lol.

depends what you mean by non-amped Hulk. In recent years we've had the revelation that The Hulk basically serves as the avatar for The One Below All and this kinda became the impetus for permanently increasing Hulk's baseline power and his higher end showings. Current Hulk is the "Fractured Son" which is far beyond any previous "base" incarnation (while Hulk in his standard fractured son form does not directly scale to the full might of TOBA nor TOAA, his scaling is high enough that he's considered a threat to people who pretty much seek to defeat and overthrow TOAA himself). Current Hulk being able to swap blows and even beat current THanos is well within his consistent power range.

Thanos always tried his best to not fight hulk for too long and now we see why. As far as i remember Thanos only hits hulk hard and leaves while he dips or BFR so i think this is theirs first prolonged fight

Although the Hulk is my favorite character, I really loved the old Jim Stalin Thanos
Except when he had to write him for a giant event.
The reason is that the Hulk is one of the most universe, most dangerous creatures. The writers and editors who don’t write him that way is more of a problem than him actually being not that dangerous creature.
Before all of the goofy MCU stuff, Thanos always desired not to get into a physical altercation with the Hulk given that unpredictability of his powers.
If we were to simply look at how the character has evolved, the Hulk is basically connected to a power source that’s similar to characters like Knull or something crazy like that.
Most of the people who only see the Hulk as a big childish green brute have no idea what they’ve changed in the character to make all of his incredible feats makes sense.
This is where the writing of Thanos gets insane and stupid
When you’re not looking at him and how he’s been the last few years, Thanos was a very calculating individual who was spin years and millennia thinking of something and how to solve it.
The old characterizations of the character made him out to be the supreme schemer and planner, and he had no ego boost, and trying to prove how strong he was.
He won because he regularly augmented himself with various technologies, magics, and such not to the sense of him generating power inside of himself, but essentially he had 1000 the power of an Iron Man suit without him visibly looking like he’s wearing any armor or augmentation. This is simply back up what he naturally was able to do .
This issue did not use the best of any of these situations.
It was in the same line of all of the recent Marvel comics books of really bad writing that doesn’t allow for Thanos to really take a long ark at figuring out a mystery and not Russian into things like the villain of the week would do.
No writer ever uses the hulks most devastating abilities. That thunderclap is the equivalent of a mountain shattering sonic blast. The same with his stomps because the writers don’t know anything about the effect of hypersonic waves lip, fine upon contact, they not even ever employ it, they simply show they don’t know anything about the character
And we’re just talking about what the Internet likes to call a base hulk power.
We’re not even talking about the character when he gets angry and starts to leak gamma radiation, the most powerful and energetic force in the universe.
If I were writing a battle between the two, as Thanos, I would do everything possible to avoid that creature. Not because of fear, but because of the record of every time he is involved with anything, he commits chaos that destroys the plans.
Even if the mad titan had a lapse in his judgment and wanted to get physical, he would not lose his brains to the point where he would do anything of this talking and underestimating of the Hulk.
Thanos would easily have deduced the hulks true power as an avatar of the one below all. Getting a filter go altercations with a creature like that is not what the mad titan whatever do.
And no, I wouldn’t give a damn about the people online with their nerd fest, wanting to have a physical qualification.
You can read it in these comments, hulk fans, who already know that the writing is suspect, nonetheless cheer when a comic book shows Hulk knocking out Thanos. Everyone else who’s had to suffer through Jim Starlin‘s rib, and the MCU characterization are now crying file and whining about it , when they should be looking at the picture.
Marvel doesn’t know how to handle either character because their fights and battles would likely destroy a solar system and definitely a planet. Ability to control the physical form of his body versus a creature who has unlimited power and strength

Your husband (thanos) admitted that he avoids fighting the hulk, he's never beat the hulk physically, and he lost this fight. Yes he can eventually do it because his anger can increase which increase his rage but in a straight fight 1v1, the chances of that happening is so low it's negligible because Thanos knows that Hulk can do that. He is far stronger than base Hulk so he tries to put down Hulk before the fight goes on for longer than it has to.
