I bought my 21 pro 4x in aug, it’s my first truck I’ve ever owned. I looked at the big three and The cost to get into one with as many accessories and amenities in this market was high. Everything was over what I wanted to pay on top of the warranty as you mentioned. I love my truck so far, I don’t think the fuel economy is terrible but I’m able to get 16.2 combined right now commuting.
@@misterred316 I have been out of the titan league for the past five years despite having three titans prior. I can only say back in 2017 it was $500.00 for the cable and a minimal fee for the tuner to dial it in. Well worth the money. I had all my titans tuned, it's a very noticeable improvement.
Suggested to TFL to do a money value review on trucks. Perhaps you could. Review which truck is the best value for the money, best financing available, best warranty. Educate the monthly cost of financing trucks based on the various sizes.
I've never owned a Nissan, always been a Ford or Ram guy but I guess in todays market they way they have outfitted that truck I would at least have to give it a look. Thanks for sharing.
I bought a 2021 pro4x loaded with all options . Absolutely love everything about it. Had 2 maximas previously . Just a fantastic truck a joy to drive everyday. Owned a chev 1500 back in 1993 . Tell you what ...what a difference technology is great. Glad I bought mine before they went to 6cyl thanks to biden. Long live the ENDURANCE motor.
Not to mention unlike the big 3, Nissan stands behind their truck for 5 years 100K bumper to bumper. If they had a heavier duty model I would still be driving a Titan. Sadly the farm needed more truck for hay duties.
The Nissan's plastic tailgate protector, those round flat spots do look like a flat place for beverages. Those areas are used by a robot arm with suction cups to lift/hold/transfer the plastic into a fixture for trimming and drilling holes, that is a vacuum formed part. I thought the same, when I first seen it back in the 90's, until the vacuum forming facility I worked at, started incorporating robot trimming and handling into our process. In 2010, I assisted a Brazilian manufacturer, develop a robotic trim cell for a vacuum formed truck bed liner and tailgate, for a new GM pickup.
I have a 21 pro4x luxury. I love the truck. It does what I need it to do has decent tech that usable and doesn't throw a bunch of other techy crap you probably won't use and charged for it to get a package like the pro4x. There are a few things I don't care for but overall so far great experience with it.
Seems like the big 3 (RAM, GM/GMC, Ford) and Toyota get all the truck love. There are others that need to be recognized too like Honda and Nissan. Thanks for showing this amazing looking truck.
Yes! I bought some tow mirrors for my 07 F150 so I could see behind my travel trailer. I love them just driving around town empty. I wish there was a mirror that style for my 94 ranger
Value based trucks are gone. I looked at new work class trucks recently. The price was enough to jump back In the truck, before the salesman walked over. My bare bones, crank windows, 6 speed manual, regular cab 06 still suits me fine, for my daily work truck. Pickup trucks aren't built to be trucks anymore. They're the new fad of mall crawlers. I cant count how many times I've been asked why I've not lifted my 17' yet....no offense to those guys.... but all my trucks go to work. Not to look cool at the local grocery store. I do have some love for the Nissan's. They really are underrated. I've seen them go 300k+ Nice video sir.
I love my Titan XD, such a good truck and great tow vehicle. All the trucks are great these days, but honestly Nissan should sell way more of these. Everyone should root for them, competition is what makes all of the trucks so great. Without it, we'll get the same crap the big 3 thought they could pawn off on everyone for 3 decades (70's, 80's and 90's).
I love my 2018 Toyota Tundra Crew Max Limited 4wd! I’m thinking of trading for an Titan XD in Pro4X for pulling my 31ft camper. A couple of concerns that keep me from doing it are… the smaller fuel tank and the smaller crew cab.
My own a 2019 Titan SV Midnight Edition and love it. I have had no issues at all, just maintance. I have 27,000 miles and my running mpg average is 18.3. The only thing I don't really like is the limited payload capacity at 1377 it does somewhat limit towing.
Odd. I love these Nissan trucks.... but I've never owned one. What? You realize this is the last year? Better buy asap. Just sold my 2005 Titan (original owner) and bought a new 2023 Titan SV. Sweet truck, lovely v8. Without all the LEDs but works just fine.
Do the towing mirrors electronically fold in or is it manual? A shark fin antenna would be nice just like the Titan’s younger brother the 2022 Frontier.👍🏼💪🏼
Mine are manual folding and I’m not sure there’s an option for electric. The shark fin antenna looks cool but, personally I’m glad it still has a whip style for the better range in the bush.
Never scoff at a great warranty. I had Subaru salesperson knock the Hyundai warranty one day. “Why do they HAVE to offer that warranty?” Doesn’t matter why. What matters is that I’m paying for repairs on an Outback after 30K.
Nissan doesn't get the credit they deserve for their trucks. They're imo no better or worse. Like you said they pioneered a lot of things now that are standard on other brands. The tow mirrors among other things helped me pick the TITAN over the Gm equivalent. And i really wanted the Gm cause its a good looking rig.
I owned three new titans in the past. IMO, best half ton out there. The Titan is underrated and not marketed proportionately by Nissan since it's inception in 2004. Can't beat the warranty either . The only negative with the truck, it's doesn't pass up a gas station that it doesn't like. Lol.
I was a big Nissan fan until they insisted on continuing to use that crappy CVT in several models, which has resulted in a law suit because of all the problems. They still haven't recalled them.
Off subject. Has anyone heard anything about the delays for custom built 2022 F450’s??? Just think there are a few people that watch this channel that might know. Or even maybe JD has a connection at a dealer? 🤞🏻 just need some answers please. Ordered it 7 months ago….
Nice truck if you just riding around it. One of the big problems with your half ton truck is, they have a big motor big wheels but not enough wight for towing. Doesn't matter the payload or the power under the hood your tow vehicle must be substantial enough and heavy enough to stabilize the rig and to break the full system when there is a failure on the trailer
THe issue with the titan is its not as good of value as its advertised to be. Really you're not saving much vs a comperable truck from any of the other 4. What, you save 1k on a 50k truck, okay so you save 2% total in price with like 10% lesser truck. To me the titan is only worth it in the base model because the value of the base model is the best in the half ton segment
I got 0% financing and they knocked off 10 grand off the truck and it was the off-road model it's a great deal you can't even buy my truck f*** if it was a Ford Chevy or Dodge for under $76,000 I got it for $49 how is that not a deal and I got a V8 that's been made for 20 years it's bulletproof now
I own one of these and you are so wrong on a lot of what you are saying, I love my Titan, man get your facts right or read the manual if you don't know - it is a steel bumper
I pulled a tree out of the ground with my 1500 couple days ago. Chainsawed it up and loaded it into the bed, brought it over to the local church where we're gathering firewood for an elderly lady with a wood stove. Definitely not just for groceries.
2020 XD Pro-4x owner. Glad to see a positive review, most mass media pans this truck in favor of the big 3. Great value and warranty.

@@paulbenderavich3833 that's good to know. I will be in market here soon, and Titans are at the top of the list if I decide to buy another truck.

so basically the titan xd is simply a heavy halfton.
though the titan xd is classified as a 2b vehicle which means it is a 3/4 ton.
