Everything you've recorded on the subject of ground balance and mineralization of soil has been so valuable to me. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. I've recently bought a Triple Score as a successor to my Simplex+, which I really do enjoy. Trying to figure out how to make the most of the Triple Score is a big challenge, but so much fun. I've only run it 15 to 20 hours so far, and though I'm settling in with it in some ways, I've got so much to learn. If you have top 3 types of advice for running the Triple Score in moderately mineralized soil (I'm going to begin manual ground balancing), I would enjoy your specific advice. 50 years of occasional detecting experiences (since the late 1960s, as a child) helps a lot, but I realize that I an experienced man such as yourself has much to teach, and could find way more than I would on the same piece of ground with the same detector. Your Legend testing should mostly apply to the Triple Score, or so I guess. Keep up the good work. Thank you, from across the pond.

Brilliant to hear. Yes the triple score is very like the legend just not as many settings. Good luck 🧑‍🦯👌🏻

Great video pal, I'm slowly trying to get back into things, I had to sell everything to keep my car running, been going through bad depression, hopefully next year I'll get back into this trying to find you on fb, all the best

Liam, really interested in this subject. Would really appreciate a video on the Legend to run parallel with what you are saying and to show the difference. I dont always ground balance as sometimed in can be really high numbers. I wouldnt physically knownhow to get it bang. Would appreciate any help with that.
    Thank You
    Kev

The most competitive description of ground balancing I've ever heard. Love your content about the technical issues, keep it up!

Guess it kinda explains why I get great depth on Eurotek Pro,,I think it's factory set at 82. I do have have Mars Tiger Coil on it, and it's a bit chirpy at times, but do pull some 10" + at times with decent ID#s,but youre right! Running positive is probably why this machine is my go to often,,even though it's outdated it's always found more than alot of the Newby machines I've had and still have some. My main hunts are for deeper silvers and coppers, always trying to avoid top layer trash.

I know I said this before but during the 70s before ground balance adjustment became popular on detectors they were hopeless and then ground balance started to appear on detectors and it was a game changer. I go to digs now and as you say most run zero ground balance on their noxes, personally I always ground balance at least every hour and mostly after every target I dig because it’s crucial to get the detector running correctly, good vid 👍

I think 0 gb is the safest and this is why manufacturers say to use 0 . It’s does really quieten machine down , an easy fix for them. Plus if you do gb and you don’t get it right , can cause bad performance and instability. Good to speak to another ground balancer , don’t think there’s many about 😂

Id like to add a comment. When ya do ground balance make sure the area is clear of metal and shovels are away from the coil. Ive seen mistakes in the past that have dramatic effects 😂

When using garrett apex I had to ground balance because it used to go crazy 🤪 I've now got nox 700 and manly keep ground balance on zero and still pulling small targets and deep targets and runs lovely and quiet 😊

So if you do an auto ground balance and leave it as it sets, does that mean its neutral? Sorry newbie :)

Is negative 0 and anything above positive? Sorry, new to all this :)

When you gb correctly that number is neutral ground balance, then any higher than that is positive offset , anything below is negative offset from ground phase

I Just Let the Detector do the Ground Balance and it should know what the Ground Condition is before I Do and also knows what it is going to need to be able to find the Targets and I don't do Auto tracking and A Few Times I have forgotten to do the Ground Balance And it was still on the previous Hunt's and I have the X-Terra Pro, But I feel like that the Detector will need some sort of numbers to work from and Zero ground balance then it has nothing else to go from...... but I let the Detector do the Ground Balance And it will know more about what it's needing.....
