LOVED the new one! BHC 1 and 2 are my fave movies of all time with 2 being slightly better than 1. 4 is right there with those first 2 movies. Great action, great story, great soundtrack and big laughs. Eddie Murphy with a return to form.

I watched the Beverly Hills Cop Franchise, one film a day, until July 3rd. June 30 (Beverly Hills Cop), July 1st (Beverly Hills Cop II), July 2 (Beverly Hills Cop III), July 3rd (Axel F).
Great video on the Beverly Hills Cop franchise. I'm probably one of the few people who didn't hate part 3. It was easily the weakest but i liked some of it. Also had a pretty cool movie poster.
You know 3 is not a good movie by any means but something about it entertains. Whether the weird counterfeiting story, the odd musical score, the humor its all a mess but I can't say I haven't popped on a few times over the years to have fun with or as background noise when doing chores around the house.
There's good news and bad news for me...the good news is I'm siked to see BHC4:Axel F and thrilled it's available to watch on Netflix...the bad news is I don't have Netflix...so I hope eventually it gets a physical release on dvd and bluray. I was kinda pissed when I found out it wasn't coming to theaters.
I was a miss not getting to see this movie in the theater. It wasn't amazing but good enough to put on the list for when it does hit another streamer or a physical edition.
Beverly Hills Cop is one of those franchises that I feel is really good. I've never been disappointed by any of the films in the franchise. Hopefully, the latest installment will continue this streak.
The middle of this movie needed tightened up a lot. Many scenes felt like the ran longer than needed. But when it picked up in the 3rd act it brought the mood up for me.
Cinema has always been a business but it's also art. When you start manipulating the art to cash in on as much money as possible the art suddenly loses a bit of its luster.
The first two movies were awesome. I've never seen the third and based on the recap I doubt I'll seek it out. I plan to see Axel F but yeah my expectations are not that high.
I had a surprising amount of fun with Axel F. Not perfect, it has some pacing and technical limitations but if you liked 1 and 2 the fan service, action and humor works well. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
I regretted not mentioning it as soon as I started editing the video. The score is such a rollercoaster of oddness, especially during the action set pieces, oh man!

I watched AXEL F last night, i felt it was too long, its decent, i wasn't expecting much, its decent, better than 3, but 1 and 2 are gold
