Sadly mine died witb exactly 100 miles on it. Was communicating with someone at Meebike about warranty service. Exchanged video and pics. They said motor was toast then ghosted me. Phone is disconnected. Address in Campbell is a house. Strangely, it still looks like i can buy one on the website. Motor shuts down under load. Not sure what to do now. Bought it for transportation based on reviews. Obviously the reviewers did as much due diligence pre review as i did pre purchase. Shame on us both
Do you think the bike is tall for someone who is about 5'8"? What do you think of this bike against the Raev Bullet GT? I know you emphasize the advantage of torque sensors. I don't mind some peddling. I am not really interested in maximum speed because of state law where I live.
Love your reviews! Could you do a head to head comparison episode on this bike (perhaps the step thru model) Vs. the Bandit X Trail Lite? I think it would be informative since they are ergonomically similar but different spec wise. A Gallop Step Thru vs Bandit X trail Pros and Cons would be great for folks considering full suspension, step thru, good brakes but also with their differences on torque vs cadence sensors. Thanks!
Great review of this ebike. Did you have problems with the breaks squeaking? I’ve watched a few reviews of this Gallop ebike and there seems to be a squeaky sound when the riders apply the brakes.
Yes brakes squeek. Motor toast after 100mi. Company now suddenly defunct. I'm out 2k so you don't have to be.
I recently got the gallop and I wanted to increase the speed limit but I ran into some issues. Once I entered the password and got to the speed settings I set the max to 45km/h from the base of 32km/h. I throttled it all the way down bur couldn’t get over 20mph on flat ground and a little bit less up hill. When I started going down hill I noticed I could still throttle and got up to 25mph before it started dropping. Is the bike just not meant to go that speed on the ground or am I missing something.
