SO interested in the T swift tea. Always. I love your podcasts, Kaci. And I'm just here to remind you that you don't have to perform on this channel. The real you is 100% welcome, whatever she may be experiencing.
I love this pattern of yours, I just came about it today. I don’t have any fancy yarn, so I am going with Hobby Lobby yarn. I can’t hardly wait to finish it, I have been searching forever, and here I found it in my Ravelry library. Ta-Da thank you
Love your design! It’s also perfectly named the Party Line Scarf because you can chuck it on on your way to a party and you’ve got a built-in party line: “Like my scarf? I made it!”
I recently finished the book The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey. It’s a stunning fantastical tale, beautifully written. I highly recommend it. 😃. I absolutely love your Pohjola colors. Just stunning.
Thank you so much for recommending Frozen River, the audible was amazing. When I do my walking I listen to this, I believe I added a couple of miles,to my walk as it was so so good…
I love that linen dress and maybe that book club cardi with it in the cooler weather? 🤔😃👏🏼💃🏻🥰🧶🧶🧶 I just finished listening to The Light Between Oceans by ML Stedman and really enjoyed it 😃👏🏼📕📙📘📚
Ohhhh I love your version of the Book Club Cardigan, I really want to knit that when it's released! And I always love your color choices for EVERYTHING - knitting and sewing projects both!
I'm knitting on my Party Line Scarf while watching this evening! What a fun pattern Kaci! It is a joy to work on. That Book Club Cardigan in the Mota is INCREDIBLE! Congrats on your PLS pattern release tomorrow!
I actually just finished the audiobook version of The Frozen River. This is my first “read” by the author, and I absolutely loved it. The story is compelling, the characters are all richly developed, and I had a hard time shutting it off to go to bed!! Highly recommend. Thanks for another great podcast😊
I have also been so deep into the Taylor Swift lore, obvs with TTPD playing on repeat. It's been the perfect distraction for me. This is not in the realm of fun audiobooks to listen to, but Dr Alan Wolfelt has a tons of books about grief, and they've been very helpful for me in my own journey. There's one specifically for the loss of a parent, as well as one's about grief in general. Sending you & your family my love 💜
"It reminded me a lot of a circus tent" I just love it 😂 that is SO the last thing your dress material reminds me of but you gave me a laugh. I love it so much, the colors are so pretty on you. And WOOHOO, all the finished objects! Way to go, Kaci!!
I loved Frozen River. I finished Hester. I didn't want it to end. It is a retelling of The Scarlett Letter and involves sewing and embroidery. I am reading the History of Bees. I like it so far; I am not to far in. But there are 3 stories going on at the same time that involve bees at different times in history and the future.
Wow ! What an amazing sweater and so many beautiful projects. I can’t wait till tomorrow to get the party line pattern. I just got another ball of yarn for it today. Another great podcast Kaci. 💗
I need to start using my maker's notebook. I love it so much but I want to even if I am not keeping track by dates, at least being able to make notes about what I want to improve on or what was hard
We love going to Black Mountain to a cabin in the Fall. Gonna have to go check out the shop next time we're up there! And leave the hubs and dogs at the cabin, lol! Hope your family is healing from all the emotional turmoil. It takes time. Your sweater is absolutely gorgeous!
I recently finished reading The frozen river, I probably started reading it upon your recommendation. I loved it, it’s such a beautiful book! Yes, it does have a great ending.
I would suggest my two favourite books to you. First is Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay and Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. Both are historical fiction..
Sewing is a practical skill but i do not enjoy it. I cut out one day and sew the next day. Cant do it in one day.. However, I have downloaded the Augustina Top Love it! Also downloaded the Petuluma Boxy Top Love that too, although i probably misspelled it. This is my #1 favorite podcast. Thank You!
Me Made May started as a personal challenge for its creator, Zoe Edwards, and the first one was actually a Me Made March! Then she did another one in May to test her warm weather wardrobe. You can listen to the story and the intention behind the challenge in her podcast, Check Your Thread, ep. 84 😊
Ok might not be everyone’s favorite book but Mad honey is great , don’t read spoilers. Many parents should read. Lovely projects….and maybe show us more about bees! Also do you prewash linen before sewing with it?
your party line scarf is adorable! and you definitely don't need to justify writing and publishing a knitting pattern. you shouldn't need to say "i feel like this is worth publishing because xyz". it's worth publishing because you designed it and other people will want to recreate it! that's more than enough. i feel like the indie/hobbyist designing community has become so much more of a commercial industry over the years and i _really_ dislike it. there shouldn't be intense competition and a constant need for every designer to make something COMPLETELY unique, lest a maker decide to make their pattern instead of someone else's. this stuff totally stifles people's creativity! the reason why we use knitting patterns is because we like the design (or an element of the design) and want to know how to recreate it. and besides... there is no such thing as a totally original or unheard of idea in the creative space. everything we do builds off of one another. this is called a COMMUNITY for a reason! the scarf is lovely, and that is enough reason to put its recipe out there. 🧡
How much fabric did you use for the skirt on the dress you are wearing? I like the idea of modifying the Agustina top in the same way but am new to sewing and don't know how much fabric I should purchase extra.
I've tried to subscribe to your newsletter about 10 times and it just won't do it. It takes my info and I click subscribe and nothing happens. Love your new scarf pattern
I was just watching Little Big Knits and Selma was showing her scarf made from your pattern and then I remembered about signing up for your news letter so I went to look for the email with the discount code for the pattern but I didn’t see one. Is it too late? Not that the price is bad either way!!! 🌸
It's not that you're old, it's that you're tall. Try putting bed risers under your table legs when you cut out material and your back will be most grateful. I also put bed risers under my sewing table so I don't hunch while I sew.
If you’re interested in another great lyricist, RM from BTS has a new album coming out May 24 “Right Place Wrong Person”, pr-release track Come Back to Me on May 10. Love your content, so relaxing. Try The Great Divide, it’s about different people involved in the building of the Panama Canal. Great historical fiction book.
Fun new design I like watching your podcast , it might be a personal thing but when there is music playing in the background I find it distracting from what you are saying
If you're referring to the scarf try-on sequence, the music was a fab reference to 1960's rom-coms to hit the vintage vibe. Loved it. Nice call, Kaci! (see what I did there?) But I do find when the music gets aggressively country (especially with lyrics), I kill the audio immediately or switch the podcast off. Same, currently, with any podcaster gushing about Taylor Swift. Just can't. [ late edit: I posted this comment midway through the video, before the Swift stuff. My objection is not to her, just tired of the constant hype. ]
Thanks for your input! I try to keep music to a minimum while I’m talking by cutting it out soon after I begin each segment but I know it’s a no go for some viewers. I apologize if its too loud

One of my favourite books is The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. Great podcast! ❤❤❤
I liked that too
I'll check it out!

Kaci, the Pohjola looks so perfect on you! 🌷🪻🌸🌹🌻🐝
Oh thank you!
Your Mockingbird is looking beautiful!!! We are at about the same point. HAHA
Love your book club cardigan! And speaking of books…The Berry Pickers and the House in the Cerulean Sea are both very good.
Your color work sweater is gorgeous and you look lovely in it. No doubt, Sari Nordlund is an amazing designer.
Thank you so much!
I love that linen dress and maybe that book club cardi with it in the cooler weather? 🤔😃👏🏼💃🏻🥰🧶🧶🧶

Your new sweater is stunning on you! It couldn't fit you more perfectly.
Oh thank you!
Your flowers are so pretty, but I especially love the iris. Beautiful making this week.
Thank you so much!
Lovely to see you again ❤ I have been thinking about you and your husband with your recent family news.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful FOs! Your irises are lovely!! Good luck with your first pattern!! Be blessed!

Loved the episode! Thank you!!
Thank you
I’m old and decrepit 🤣🤣🤣 me too hahaha!! ❤ I have the same sewing itch. Only in spring.
Being old and decrepit does make it hard to sew
i do exclusively libby too
Hello from Swansea, Illinois.
Hello!
I love your dress I wish I had one just like it!
Thank you!
I recently read The Womdn by Kristin Hannah, it was very good
I’ll add it to my list

Keeper of the Bees by Gene Stratton-Porter. In fact, you’d love any books by her.
I’ll look that up!
Ok might not be everyone’s favorite book but Mad honey is great , don’t read spoilers. Many parents should read. Lovely projects….and maybe show us more about bees! Also do you prewash linen before sewing with it?
I’ll look it up! And I only breathe certain linens. I know that’s bad haha
The picture of you on the front porch should be on a magazine cover.
Aw that’s so kind! Not true 🤣 but kind!
I'm making a sweater and mittens in the bilum twisting knit stitch
Enjoy!
I’m not sure why Mota is classified as dk. I’ve knitted with it, and it certainly behaves as a worsted weight yarn. I love it!
Yes it’s thicker than dk in my opinion as well

It really depends on your size and the width of the fabric. This is wide linen so I used about 2.5 meters
I've tried to subscribe to your newsletter about 10 times and it just won't do it. It takes my info and I click subscribe and nothing happens. Love your new scarf pattern

The Book Club Cardigan looks a lot like the pattern that Laerke from Fibertales is working on. Have you seen her pattern?
I haven’t seen it in a while but I remember seeing it before
