Hi! For rowing out, I find that it really helps to use a slightly larger needle on the wrong side (or when purling). This is super easy to do if you have interchangeable needles! You can still do it without them, but yea. I purl slightly tighter than I knit, so going up a needle for purling is a perfect solution. That’s the norm, but you might want to gauge swatch to make sure it’s the same for you! Anyway, your trip looked awesome 💗

I recently watched A Knitter Obsessed podcast where she listed 11 of her favorite vlogs. So far I’ve watched 8 and yours is the only one I’ve subscribed to. Love your hippie quirky vibe. Love that you’re in So Cal, me too. Next time you mention your LYS you also might mention its name. If it’s anywhere close by I’ll check it out. Mine is the Woll Haus in Pasadena. Although I mostly order online.
PS I get the Jennifer Lawrence reference. ❤

So happy you found me! My local yarn store is Hands on Knitting center. I would definitely recommend checking it out! It’s walkable from the Esri train station in Redlands too.

Your Italy trip sounds like a real adventure! I went to Canada last year and caught the flu; it was a short trip remembered through the haze of delirium 😂I highly recommend road tripping through Iceland. Black sand beaches, mountains, glaciers, hot springs, waterfalls, etc, it is STUNNING, but save your money because the island relies heavily on imports and everything is incredibly expensive. I survived off pb&j and ramen noodles

Okay adding that to my road trip list! My mom went to Iceland and loved it. Will start saving for 2030 now 😅

The last time we rented a car in Italy, we got a ticket in Florence because of the ZTL. It took about 6-8 months to get the ticket in the mail! My brother was in another car, and he got his ticket about a year later. Your advice is spot on! 😂 Still loved having a car to travel around the region!

😅 oh god! A whole year later?! Nice to hear from someone else who went through the same experience.

The yarn you chose for the book club cardi looks so lovely! I'm also in the KAL and decided not to use mohair. I'm a bit scared of the pockets 😂

I have no idea how to do those pockets. That’s a problem for future Natalie to deal with 😂

I’m just here to comment that the rib technique you’re talking about where you knit, then purl, and give it a little tug comes from Staci from Very Pink Knits. She’s talked about that on her podcast before. It’s a great technique - I totally should have remembered it when I was doing the rib on the socks I’m currently doing… 😬

I found it on a random blog post that I cannot find! 😖
But thank you for the reference!! I’ll definitely check it out.

I keep my yarn in plastic containers, and it’s always safe
