I see these types of pick-ups all over Asian Cities... So selling an electric one at a good price is very important. Sure range is limited but for sure its enough for city deliveries. 👍

I think the overall look is good. Some people use this size truck for construction, but I think if you keep it clean then it is suitable for like a flower-shop business and with a temperature controlled closed-rear it could even do bakeries and restaurant services...

Love my KIA EV6 here in the States; only thing I'm upset with KIA is, we didn't get a charger with the car and the RWD versions didn't get the larger Frunk size. We got the smaller one like in the AWD.

as an American, interesting to see the pickups used in the rest of the world. very interesting that your incentives there make it just as cheap as my electric hatchback even after incentives, while our electric pickups are just following the ICE trend of luxury. so far though this seems more on par with my '94 Chevy truck for comfort lmao

Great little thing. But I'm concerned about the safety as it appears to have virtually no crumple zone. Do you know how many airbags it has? Great vid as always 👌
wow, I am surprised myself, but only two airbags, one for the driver and one for the passenger. And like you said, it's cab-over truck type, so you have to be careful.

Sorry I missed the live stream here in the US. So that drive shaft/differential hooks directly to a electric motor and not a transmission of some sort driven by the electric motor?

Yes, forward collision avoidance, lane keep assist, and auto high beam and blind spot monitoring system is placed on the Kia Bongo!

Why is it called the bongo?
It came straight from Mazda Bongo. At first, Kia imported Mazda, so they just used the name until now. Wow, I didn't know until now. Thanks Roy. & thank you for enjoying the new EV pickup truck from Kia.

@@AsianPetrolhead In our country the Philippines, this Bongo III is known as the Kia K2500/K2700/KC2700. The older Bongos sold in our country as a Surplus vehicle or Gray Market.

I love that a "long" charge time these days can be under an hour. We're not "there" yet, but getting very reasonable. I just wish the US weren't such a protectionist shithole that doesn't let anything useful cross the border.
