I was in Moab on an RV trip. I was going to go to slick rock but I didn't have the time. I ended up going to Deadhorse State Park while had a lot of mixed surfaces including slick rock. I didn't have a super nice bike (just a Cannondale hardtail) but I had a blast bombing through the sand the slick rock, with beautiful views into the canyon. A great introduction to MTB as a 13 y/o.
Rode my dirt bike on theses trails and it was a blast . I often verbally gave mad props to the people on pedal bikes due to the dedication of the ride .
I hit Slickrock when I was in Moab for the first time in May of 17. I loved it, one of the most fun trails I've ever done. The rollercoaster parts were a blast, and cleaning those climbs made me feel like a effin BOSS.
Did the slickrock about 20 years ago with my wife on hardtails. It was all do-able following the white lines, but in August it was absolutely blistering hot. As things tend to be - in a desert, and apparently a heatwave. 45c during the day. We camped which was ridiculous in the heat and ended up moving into a motel. We were advised for the biking to be up at 5 am and be finished by 10, which was what we did. And take plenty of water. Fabulous day out, but no shelter when it's hot. We also did Porcupine Rim on that trip. Amazing. Would love to go back...
I'm from the UK. I visited Moab.. from base in Breckenridge.. to do SlickRock trail in 2001. Was an awesome experience.. hot as hell.. Still got the brewery sweatshirt I bought as a souvenir. Awesome place..Awesome ride.
Thanks for doing these videos. I just bought my first mountain bike, and really enjoy seeing what fun can be had in this sport. Keep the videos coming.
Wow. This channel is incredible . I'm a new rider and So glad I found this . Very well edited and informative , thank you so much from Sydney , Australia
I pedaled every inch of the slickRock trail in 1998 on a paramount series 80 hardtail with a old crappy Manitou in the front. I was in peak fitness and pride myself in climbing every obstacle without putting a foot down. I like that place.

Amazing landscape. Like another planet! There's no room for error at all.
Im watching all these videos man and may i say they are awesome! I really want to become more advanced with mountain biking and im really trying to practice obstacles such as going up and down a higher log or rock. Your videos are very useful and inspiring. I really want to get better, thank you so much!
I just rode in Moab yesterday! I have never ridden slick rock but I want to mark it off my list. I rode the Mag 7 trail system & finished up with the Portal Trail. The Portal Trail is so sketchy and terrifying!!!! Definitely ride the Mag 7 trail system next time you go. It's the best trail I have ridden all year so far.
Yeah I think I'm calling in sick for work for the next , so I can go ride out in moab, great video looking forward to the other footage of you guys in moab
Absolutely love riding the slickrock trail! My ultimate favorite in Moab is the Whole Enchilada trail going from the base of La Sal Mountains riding on top of the plains and canyons all the way down a canyon back to the city of Moab. About a 6 hour ride downhill that is absolutely gorgeous! One day, I might make the move to move to Moab for a few months!
Just rode Porcupine Rim, Captain Ahab, and Slick rock. Had to come watch this again. It's fabulous. I drank 6 liters of water one day, and made only one pit stop. (It was 103°F.) People ask why I live way out in the big, square states. I just point at everything outside and then at my bikes.
Start spreadin' the news, I'm leavin' today I want to be a part of it New York, New York These vagabond shoes, are longing to stray Right through the very heart of it New York, New York
I rode this in 1999. I had been a mtn bike rider/racer from the mid eighties to the mid nineties. However, I had not ridden that much before riding this trail. It kicked my ass.
Seth, have you ever ridden any trails in Indiana? Down south in a small town called Boonville, we have a park called Scales Lake with a 7 mile trail loop with obstacles built in, jump lines, a pump track, and skills course.
This trail sent me to the hospital in Moab about 12 years ago. Or I should say... bachelor party in Boulder till 4am, up at 8am for 7 hr. drive to Moab, 5pm decision to ride slickrock dehydrated... sent me to the hospital in Moab. Finished it though!
I miss Moab! Was there 6 months ago, but I didn't do any mountain biking. Got to hike through the fiery furnace and do some horseback riding tho. Stayed in the famous Rockhouse as well, so I guess that's something :D
I live in Utah and have ridden Slickrock numerous times - Seth's Bike Hacks has it right in so many ways. This is not highly technical, but it's super steep and you do need basic skills such as downhill braking, hopping, and making drops. It's worth it though!
Just went to Moab for a dirt bike trip had so much fun on the slick rock! But definitely don’t go down hills to fast if you don’t know what’s below you. For all you know it’s a cliff. Then the next thing you know you grab a hand full of back brake and are tumbling down the rock. Lol
Great video, dont know what words to say other than informative and kind of a behind the scenes of how many tries it took to make it. Maybe a good idea for all 3 of you to make video of, kind of a behind the scenes deal.
Woww man, this place have such amazing view, here in Brazil we have awesome trails too, but not like this. Greetings from Brazil. (sorry for bad english)
Riding Slickrock with Seth was one of my best days on the bike! Can't wait to see the next videos.
BK-XC I thought I recognized you in there
So happy you enjoyed this very special trail, which my husband, Dick Wilson, marked the white dots 1969. Memories of him.
1:18 that backwheel catch is prob a serious injury saver!
That aerial footage is amazing.
No, I didn't get a drone. That's Brian's. Speaking of Brian, how about that save?!
Seth's Bike Hacks love this channel
Seth's Bike Hacks
How's the knee
Sketchy, thank god he grabbed that wheel!!
Ridiculous save! lol
Feeling a little better! Should be back on the trails, taking it easy in a week or so. Plenty of footage in the meantime.
Having ridden Slick Rock, your video definitely does it justice. Nice job!
You are getting really good at telling stories / filming / editing. I'm hooked.

who could honestly give this video a "thumbs down"!? Nice job Seth!
Freakin roadies...
man I would have never thought rocks grip tires well, this trail is awesome.
Those rocks are sandstone, like he said "they grip like sandpaper"

Excellent video thanks guys....
new favorite channel, other channels post videos of trails but none of them talk and describe what they experienced during the ride well done!
Great video! You always do a great job sharing important details (both good and bad) about the ride.

Man so happy to see just trail riding. Thanks for what I'm sure will be a great video.
Yes, Milts! the best place to get a milkshake in Moab. Go there every time i'm in Moab.
Great video, Seth! Looking forward to more from Moab. Thanks for sharing!

At 1:22, that moment when you are left hanging trynna high five your friend😂
Lol today I did exactly wat he did but went otb
I think he might’ve been trying to stop him from stumbling
Drone footage was awesome! Really gave the "whole picture"
these ride along's are getting better and better
Its so nice when you live in Salt Lake and can just drive 4 hours to moab. Did porcupine rim once on a crappy hardtail... did not go well.
Did PR a couple times on a good hardtail...went very well! My friend crashed once or twice though.
Lol yeah, I usually make the argument that you can do anything on a hardtail, but Porcupine Rim would be rough!
Great filming and documentary!

I did it back in 1988. great ride.

This reminds me of the limestone pavements in the West of Ireland. There's no real bike trails but seems like an amazing place to cycle
Great video to show the terrain.
Thanks! Due to this video I can no longer have children! I'm terrified of heights and seeing that guy almost fall off killed me! : - )
0:00 - 0.07 looks like some sort of bad animation😂but the video is great👌
I love your videos
I rode that for the first time in 1988 on a rigid fork Rockhopper. It was challenging, to say the least!
Moab looks pretty rough. Brutal on the bike and the body.
Sick channel! Seth is the man💪🏼 I live 40min away from Alafia trails in FL maybe Il see ya on the trails one day👍🏼
GO SETH! YOU ARE THE BEST!
I live in Utah and have ridden Slickrock numerous times - Seth's Bike Hacks has it right in so many ways. This is not highly technical, but it's super steep and you do need basic skills such as downhill braking, hopping, and making drops. It's worth it though!
I live in cache vally Utah wish you could come we have some amazing mountain bike trails

Amazing video Seth , new sub here
those super steep parts Is why I ride flats. when the bearded guy crashed in the beginning he would have been toast if it was clip-ins
ayyyyy we got a flats supporter. I like this guy ^
I 100% woulda been a goner on that if I was clipped. Flats for life!
flats only
Clueless.
that's an awesome view from the top!!
