how manga conversations should go:
1) "have you read the newest chapter yet?"
2) "no"
1) "im not gonna spoil anything, but shit was wild, you should definitely read it asap"
2) "aight bet, thanks"
Thats how 99% of my conversations go when i talk about manga with my friends, but theres always that one guy who just shouts a spoiler out of nowhere
i swear i got one very good friend on college but even if i say no spoilers to him bluntly, he still ends up spoiling like 70-80% of the story lmao
some people really are the king of yapping
I wish a lot more interactions go like this. Seriously, even generally outside of it, I'd prefer no spoilers but some ppl really don't listen man.
Nah, even saying "it's wild" is too much imo. I want a blank slate mind with no expectations.
@@youdungoofed1 i understand that, but ive said it before just to hopefully urge someone to read it sooner so we can have a proper discussion about it.
I guess he didn't take the Aqua and Ruby news very well
😂😂😂
I went to go look for the context of this comment and uhhhhhhh..... ignorance truly is bliss
I see what you did there..... I guess you gotta be unalived now ಠ_ಠ
Ya that one scene at the end of chapter 143 was the absolute wildest🤯😅
😂
I've got to admit that the title of the video made me think for a moment that a guy was arrested for spoiling the manga. 😂
Me too!
classic confusing grammar/wording RUclips clickbait title lol. BTW in recent stream, Garnt thought the manga reader got arrested because he spoiled the plot to other people, but Chat told him it’s the other way around. So Garnt re-read the news tweet he was reading and finally realized it’s the old dude who attacked the manga reader got arrested
That fact its a 50 year old salaryman makes this so funny cause I'd expect it from a teenager or a 20 something year old, not a 50 year old. My dad is 60 and I'm just imagining my dad punching a dude for spoiling the newest batman comic and it feels like a comedy skit
50 year old salaryman, single, probably overworked and most likely only have fiction as escape. I don't sympathize with him, but at least I've guessed what it was like.
@@ZeroXSEED And I guess booze played also a role...
meanwhile the Gundam series accidentally spoiled a future anime plot because of the model kit instruction manual.
gundam fans are built different.
Keep up the great work and videos Joey love the video
That’s not how spoilers work. If the company making it doesn’t care then it is unimportant, unless it’s a remake which spoils the plot to a new audience when they didn’t do that to the original audience.
This is very ironic
The manga is about calling out toxic fans yet the manga spawned even more toxic fans 😭
Indeed
I'm not surprised. Some people didn't come for the realistic anime/manga story, oh no no no no they saw cute anime girls (and boys) and eye candy animation and ignored every goddamn message this story was telling.
@@Exclusivesadblues Fr. The manga is so good currently and talks about actually serious issues but the people just ignore it for the eye candy designs.
Prison Inmate 1: What are you in for? I killed a guy.
Prison inmate 2: I tried to rob a bank.
Japanese man: I nearly killed my coworker because he spoiled Oshi no Ko.
Prison Inmate 1 and 2: 😨😨 *scoots away from the japanese guy*
Well, likely all of them are Japanese, the country being quite homogenous and all, lol.
i get what ur saying, but wouldn't prisoners 1 & 2 also be japanese, considering this crime happened in japan? 💀
Those officers were pissed they got spoiled I guess 😂
Not so much that they were just spoiled. They were told that things weren't going well and they wanted to stop whilst it was still good, until matey came and ruined it for them anyway. 😂
Least insane Oshi No Ko fan:
sanest oshi no ko fan:
Maybe the moral should be: don’t go attacking people for something as minor as a spoiler? I think you might be missing the point Joey. How do we know that it was a spoiler in the sense of a guy being a dick? How was a guy supposed to know where the 50 year old was at in the story?
Joey: "Let people enjoy things at their own pace, bro."
Chibi Reviews: "nah, I'd spoil."
That sh|t made me unsubscribe from him forever. He did the same for Mushoku too and decided to ruin his whole channel by deliberate systemic clickbait-spoilers about all popular anime for some reason.
@@PredatoryQQmberFr
Spoiler man was about to get isekaid real quick
I suppose the new isekai instigator must be spoiler-chan, who fell off the rear of racecar-kun.
I spoiled my coworker and became the new hero in his favourite manga?!
Interesting. I am a 60s something fan of manga and anime way back to astroboy. It doesn't matter to me if there are spoilers. As long as I don't know the full details of something. It doesn't matter. Great video ❤
Didn’t think you’d give out an actual One Piece spoiler in the segment where you specifically talked about how annoying One Piece spoilers are. I know it’s the indisputably most famous one ever but still lol
Let's be fair, those Gears are like Playstations, as soon as he started out naming them sequentially, the fact that a next version one number higher would come out could be predicted by a monkey with a concussion
@@NnT042 lmao xD
It would've been hilarious if it went like this:
person A: "Have you seen gear 5 yet?"
person B: "What's a 'gear' in that series?"
Especially because there are almost 700 chapters between the introduction of "gears" and "gear 5". Let's see...The fight against Bruno was in Chapter 383 from 2005. Gear 5 appears for the first time in chapter 1044 in 2022. It's already crazy enough that One Piece has lasted that long, but the powercreep, especially post-Dressrosa is just nuts.
yeah, the main spoiler is how each gear works@@NnT042
@@r4nd0mguy99I’m one of those people I’m so early in One piece my reaction is “what even is gear?”😂😂
Nah.... We don't know what's going on in his life. Working in Japan is very stressful as it is, let alone family stresses and what not. Maybe Oshi No Ko is his escape. Sure, he shouldn't have attacked anyone. That said, no one knows someone else's breaking point. Don't go around being a d!ck and purposefully provoking someone. Especially about manga. Some stories, I don't mind, but I there are stories I don't mention I'm reading just so there's no chance of spoilers because I will get upset. Maybe Oshi No Ko was his thing and with built up stresses, he snapped. I feel bad for him 🤷🏾♂️
Nah Oshi no Ko is mid it deserves to be spoiled.
@@TheAdminSlayer your opinion of the story doesn't mean it's my opinion of the story or anyone else's. Purposefully ruining a story for someone is petty
@@TheAdminSlayer I hope you get spoiled about everything you passionate about and never enjoy fresh experience ever again.
> We don't know what's going on in his life.
Yeah but you seem to be assuming that his motive for committing the crime was due to work stress tho
I had a heartattack looking at the thumbnail. I thought my goat aka got pedo allegations.
As soon as i saw the article I was waiting for joey to make a vid 😳
6:08 C'mon, man: Even if it was a spoiler (and they infuriate me a lot), you're kinda making it sound like the other guy was justified in kicking his friend's ass for it. You don't respond that way because someone pulled that on you: you shun them out of your life until they apologise, you curse them out for being dickish about it but you NEVER go at them physically for doing so.
Nah, I understand their anger, how bout don't be a punk, you're robbing someone from the experience forever, for literal life
Being angry is fine, but use your words, not your fists, lol.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley it's too late for that
pretty sure they told him aqua x ruby is canon
This man's court hearing gonna start a riot from having the spoiler entered as a statement lol
I said to a friend that jiraiya was my fav anime character, and he responded with, "you know he dies, right?"
ever since I've been militant about hating spoilers. That would have been the most amazing twist for me!
i always ask my friend "how far are you in this anime/manga that i'm about to talk to you" and "are you ok with spoiler/are you planning to read that thing coz if you dont i'll just spoil everything" the first two questions before i start any anime/manga conversation.
Love biased joe, he didn’t even warn you not to get emotional and PHYSICAL over spoilers… BASED
When it comes to spoilers for anything, I always keep my mouth shut, unless the person gives me permission.
I remember watching the Pokemon short "Gotta Dance" with 2 of my friends, and one of them wouldn't stop spoiling the movie for my other friend.
Long story short: I told him to stop, he didn't, so I shut of the movie.
Joey talking as if the man who spoiled the manga for the 50 years old dude probably did it because he knew how much the 50 years old man loved the manga as if joey was actually there is crazy, that is sheer ignorance on joeys part especially since he just read the news and wasn't actually there, so his statements aren't fact just delusional nonsense, and i don't care how much the old man loved the manga, violence is still violence, right now people are resorting to violence over manga spoilers, in the future people might also resort to violence over harmless jokes that they didn't like so they started resorting to violence, that 50 years old dude definitely deserves the criminal record, man may have gotten spoiled, but its not like he saw his entire family being killed or something, this is just so pathetic, really shows the old man can get so angry over something like fictional characters which do not exist😑😑😑
At least nobody got massacred. Had the spoiler guy been severe hurt. Then this event could be used to counter both spoiler people and spoiled people. The spoiled people would learn to restrain themselves whilst the spoiler people would fear ever talking about any form of medium for a while.
This scenario would be chaotic. Imagine going to a cafe and talking about the latest chapter of a popular anime with your friend (both are caught up) and then some random stranger (who has not caught up) overhears your conversation and then lashes out at you.
Now, I don’t mind spoilers much, but I don’t understand that it can ruin the hype for some people. But, even then, lashing out at someone for something so trivial would most likely led to the lasher to be subject of ridicule, disrespect, or disappointment.
The old guy chosen violence because in the end it has to be this way.........
While we are on the topic. Niigata city has Oshi no ko's mangaka's art work exibition going on. Go see it if you are Japan.
Glad you're back!! Love the skits, I miss those 😂😂
My rule of spoiler is as long as I am actively saying I don’t want it, I could care less. Cause I’ll forget or I’ll have my chance to read it and be blown away.
I have also tried my best to avoid socials like the plague with them, too, but it’s an effort on its own when most of the time it’s fanart not tagged and I’m just as surprised but now with a confirmed visual. At least if I see/hear someone talk about it, I can just tune it out, if needed.
Ima be real honest, i dont give af about spoilers that mich, it just doesnt bother me as much since when i want to know the information, im usually want it now and not later and it dosent ruin my enjoyment of the thing im reading, though i do understand why its a deal breaker for most.
The old guy should've dissed his waifu, LOL
It's probably getting to the point where even if you spoil a single manga chapter of any manga, it lead to this consequence on which I do believe it's taking a little too far, I could somewhat see it affecting those who are leaking it, But having to be arrested just by spoiling it towards another fan? Japan is choosing violence.
Title might be a bit misleading. The one getting arrested was the fan who GOT spoiled, because they reacted with violence towards the one who spoiled them.
@@Yumegipsu Oh... Now that really is violence 😭 that's way worse
Watch video bro. Don’t be misled by this classic confusing grammar/wording RUclips clickbait title lol. BTW in recent stream, Garnt thought the manga reader got arrested because he spoiled the plot to other people, but Chat told him it’s the other way around. So Garnt re-read the news tweet he was reading and finally realized it’s the old dude who attacked the manga reader got arrested
Sanest Oshi no Ko fan.
This news sounds like something straight from Onion news.
Oh wait! That's the whole world and our reality now!
Yeah, I hate it when people spoil Code Geass. Like there's a lot of anime to watch, so sometimes I haven't seen classic anime. The good news is that I was not spoiled before I watched it, but some people think because it's old, it's okay to spoil.
If its old im not gonna get my panties in a twist if people discuss said anime especially if its a place designated for it. But ofcourse i am not going to actively go out of my way to tell someone everything that happens in the show if they ask if its good or not.
@@1EnZBosS1 I consider it the exact same thing. Maybe it's a personal thing.
i lowkey agree, i know if a show is older i should just expect to get spoiled but it's annoying watching AoT for the first time and trying to dodge spoilers in RUclips thumbnails. I swear it didn't even end that recently too lol
Video about manga/anime spoilers and Joey casually spoils that Luffy has gear 5 :D
I fucking hate spoilers.
Not the worst thing I have ever heard of causing violence.
I once witness 2 men get into a fight because one said to the other that his tractor could pull the other man's.
( I WISH I was making this up 🙄... )
Committing crime over a mid manga spoilers is just a waste of life smh
The criminal record is small but no company ain't taking someone whose record says got violent over manga spoilers
I do not agree but i understand.
"Do you find spoilers annoying? By the way, Luffy has Gear 5!"
I get the point Joey but, come on - self-awareness...
(luckily everybody knows this one)
Wait, people in Japan don't like spoilers? I thought culturally their relationship with spoilers was different than the west. Like, if you're watching a TV show, the episode will be called "Crisis! Our Hero Dead? The Truth Revealed!", or a light novel's entire premise will be spoiled by the title. Is that just marketing run amok promoting a false narrative?
I've never really cared about "spoilers", but my older brother almost reacts allergically against them. Honestly, I've seen my share of anime with disappointing plot progression, or even worse: bad endings. You know...Those that ignore pretty much everything that the series has been building up until that point. That's why I actually prefer to get "spoilered".
Of course, the novelty factor wears off once you know about what happens, but as long as the series is good, that won't matter much. There are anime that I've watched over 20 times. THAT'S what will eventually make you lose interest.
No wonder. The last chapter was the culmination of Aqua's character. The intense build up that have been there since the beggining. SPOILERS:
Him turning into Super Saiyan 2 to stop Cell is defintely one of the iconic manga pieces of this generation.
Huh, am I built different? Coz I don't really give them much f*ck about getting spoiled on a story. Sometimes, I'll even thank the spoiler coz I'll have an idea whether to keep on reading/watching or not. It saves a lot of time. Has anyone ever read Chinese web novels? A thousand chapters is like the industry standard. 😂
I think this guy would hate Dragon ball Z episode titles
I always love(sarcasm) when I say "Sorry not going to spoil X for you." And Zito get replies like "Well they can find out on the internet." My reply is "Maybe but I'm not going to be the one to spoil it for them."
Honestly. At 50? That man has probably been through enough shit in life that THAT small thing was absolutely the straw that broke the camel's back. Giving him the benefit of the doubt.
ppl are being too pusyycat about "spoilers" and call EVERYTHING a spoiler anyways.
I genuinely can't watch things if I don't already know everything that is happening. I love spoilers and struggle to not spoil myself, but I almost never do. People should just put spoiler warnings on post and the problem will be solved. Lol.
Easy fix:
Don't be on anime/manga Twitter lmao
I'm on kpop Twitter so I don't get spoiled luckily
One wise japanese youtuber said if you don't want to get spoiled then watch movie/anime, read manga/webtoon/light novel yourself.
Spoilers suck, but if you're so upset about them, go touch grass and read the manga while your out there. ^^'
That being said, don't spoil stuff for people intentionally. It's not cool and you might catch a hand with your face.
Agreed. let me enjoy as i want. Don't rush me, i'm old. I will Master Roshi your rear end should you spoil anything for me. LOL
I love to be spoiled! A good movie, series, book, manga, anime or what ever fiction is still worth reading/watch. I just want to know that the thing I am buying is good.
I got spoiled with Attack on Titian's last season so many times I eventually stopped watching it cause of people like that 🙄
Regardless if you avoid them or not, it's always gonna be those specific type of people who do this . Just let people experience it for themselves it's not that hard to shut up about it, but eh...its the internet so...not surprised.
This story could only be more funny, if it was gushing over magical girls instead of that Idol Manga. That the 50 year old dude was a fan of.
Reminds me of "Antarctica scientist stabbed colleague for spoiling book endings".
I actually don’t hate spoilers for the most part lol especially if it’s a sad one. It doesn’t ruin it for me and actually helps prepare me for the blow as it were. Don’t worry I’ll never tell someone else a spoiler unless they specifically ask me. I just wanted to express my “unpopular take” I guess 😂
I doubt the spoiler guy spoiled it intentionally, I’m guessing he just didn’t think too hard and thought everyone was caught up.
At least I hope that’s the case.
Man...the news is getting more and more crazy XD
Bro, you just spoiled something from one piece, you just did the same thing hahahaha i already knew but you never know theres always a 50 years old dude that doesnt know those spoilers, thank god youre safe from a kick hshsh
No it's called double standards. The who is getting spoiled doesn't care about everyone else wanting to talk about said spoilers, so why the f* should they care about what the one being spoiled wants.
"nobody cares"
except the they do, why else is there a video about it here? The trolls know what they are doing, getting engagement to drive up their views and clickthroughs
Imagine the defense "your honor, the only crime here was that the manga was spoiled by that inconsiderate douche." lmao
The police arrested the wrong guy
Sometimes you can't afford the spoilers. Depends on the Fandom. Like one piece spoilers are in your face.
If I want to talk to my friend about a manga that I know we're both reading, I never say anything that is a spoiler right off the bat. I always ask her whether she has read the latest chapter, and then she can say whether she has or hasn't and usually she adds how far she is. Then I know exactly how much I can talk about without spoiling anything.
i stop read naruto, one piece, and others.
my relative spoil it to me. they know i hate spoiler but never stop doing that on purpose.
i continued to read later, but, the fun just ruined. i will never get the ‘first time reader experience’ ever in my life for those stories i love so much. i feel less happy, less sad, less mad, for the stories and always remember that bastard for spoil it.
Is not a spoiler if it's released to the public. If you are one of those people who get upset over spoilers (most people don't), you either deal with it or avoid it from happening in the first place, you can't stop someone from talking about it
It reminds me a story the first person who commited a murder in Antartica. Because his coworker spoiled him the book he was reading and his coworker is kinda of a jerk.
whether its spoiling manga, anime, boks etc is an absolute cardinal sin to spoil anything! i hate hate hate when people spoil anything.really gets my blood boiling
Who else thought that the video was going to be about a Japanese man getting arrested FOR saying spoilers?
It's funny the reason I started one piece was because I saw gear 5 Luffy and it reminded me of old cartoons like tom and Jerry
If our Gen reached 50. Probably someone will be arrested coz of a emoji
Yes you said it, "let people enjoy thing at their on pace" without having to adjust to the one idiot who wants to ruin it for everyone else because they behind and don't want to be spoiled.
Never understood the hype for this manga regardless this showa old man had to show the youth some knuckles😂
When you hear spoilers, do not react violently, otherwise you get yourself into trouble.
Imagine going to prison because of the middest flavor of month manga that no one will remember by the time you get out of prison.
Being a fan of Oshi no Ko, I will admit our fandom is just fucking weird
Lol that is the most dumbest reason to get arrested for Japan's new crime law: spend time in Jail for telling a spoiler
I think I'm in the few that actually don't care for spoilers 🗿
Ik spoilers suck but come tf one if your world is shattered by name i think you got biggers issues
I am that one weird dude that want to be spoiled. The problem is I always want to see how I would envisioned it with the spoilers and how it would actually go down when I see it.
And even if it's a clip of the anime or a panel of the manga spoiling it, I still want to know how things led to that point. I am never annoyed by spoilers, which also make it pretty hard for me to talk about anything because since I have 100% immunity to spoilers, I have 0 inhibition to not spoil it for someone because it really hard for me to notice it...
It's like back when Infinity Wars was all the rage, my brother and I already booked to see it. Then go up to my friend who already saw it to ask how as it, dude was like "It was lit, I won't spoil it for you" and I was dead ass like "No, I asked how it was. Tell it to my face". He gave me the widest eye and reluctantly told me how it went. Then I went to the movie and it was actually as lit as he said, it was even better because I got that tingle of "Oh, that part he told me was quite different from what I thought of, but it is that part"
Bro that one JJK spoiler was horrible. It was everywhere day 1
oshinoko is not a show i would care about being spoiled, sucj a bruh moment
Seeing your friend's story in Facebook posting manga is annoying
but wasn't it obvious that he will have a gear five? after gear 1 2 3 and 4?
not by someone in particular, but when scrolling randomly through insta/twitter, for whatever reason spoilers of certain mangas/novels appear when i don't even see them. so yeah basically fucked by the system
WHY DO i ENCOUNTER MUSHOKO TENSEI SPOILERS IN THE COMMENTS?! WTF
It kinda sucks that we can’t enjoy stuff on our own pace anymore
Jokes on you I forget all the spoilers I hear because I have the memory of a fish
Imagine someone gets gear 5 spoiled because of this video
This with the harassment of Hana Kimura's mother and Akane's English voice actor, the Oshi no Ko fandom is the fucking worst.
Sometimes the fandom needs to be regulated no matter how absurd it is bro
I dont have twitter, so i cant get spoiled on anything 🧠🧠🧠
Oh, I thought the other guy was arrested for giving the spoiler
Plus you getting mad and beating the person over a spoiler is messed up
