Une francophone à McGill | Chloé, La Prairie, QC

Chloé a grandi à La Prairie, au Québec, et parlait peu anglais à sa sortie du cégep. Ayant fait toute sa scolarité en français, elle a été étonnée d’être acceptée à l’Université McGill et n’était pas certaine de pouvoir étudier en anglais. Mais en apprenant qu’elle pouvait remettre ses travaux en français, elle a décidé de relever le défi. « Je voulais être entourée de gens motivés, de personnes venues du monde entier, appelées à s’illustrer dans leur domaine et qui ont soif d’apprendre. »

Growing up in La Prairie, Quebec, Chloé spoke little English when she left CEGEP. She was surprised when she was accepted to McGill, and wasn’t sure she’d be able to study in English after studying in French her whole life. But knowing she could submit coursework in French at McGill was a huge help and she accepted the challenge head on. “I wanted to be around people who are motivated. Future leaders who come from all around the world who are driven by a desire to learn.”
