I love going in the kitchen!!!!!❤
Beautiful peppers great idea to use the bags. Always extra excited when you take in in the kitchen with you💖
Thank you!
Hi there, wow great sharing. Excellent sharing
Thanks -glad you enjoyed it!
WOW! That's so beautiful. I freeze my peppers too.
Hey family! This is what AI came up with Here's a concise method to make charred tomato and crispy red bell peppers:
1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
2. Slice tomatoes in half and cut bell peppers into large pieces.
3. Place tomatoes cut-side up on a baking sheet. Arrange peppers skin-side up on the same sheet.
4. Drizzle vegetables with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
5. Roast for 20-25 minutes until tomatoes are charred and peppers' skin is blistered and slightly blackened.
6. Optional: For crispier peppers, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end.
7. Let cool slightly, then peel pepper skins if desired.
@@offthegridwithrashad sounds about right! Thanks for the research
Thank you!
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead they have a flour coating on them though. A specific flour. That allows them to fry in the oil while frying in the oven. 🤔
Good evening, thank you for the video enjoyed the information.🙏🏾❤️
Awesome-thanks for stopping by!
Amazing harvest!!
Thank you!
Really fall is my favorite
❤❤❤
❤❤
Yesss love those charred red peppers. You will get tons of views when make that video
Yes I love those things! I am going to figure it out.
The peppers look great! Yum. I’ve never had those peppers from the restaurant but I sure would love to make some. They sound good.
Yes they are so good!
How about you chopped them season them and put them in the freeze dryer and see how they turn out.
What about cooking them in an air fryer
Hey Barbara and everyone here🖐🏾😄I like to roast my peppers on the stove top then I can some. I freeze some also. I canned 10 jars of Low Sugar Jam. Tomorrow I’m dehydrating 10lbs of onions for making onion powder and granulated onions. that’s it so far. My garden is struggling with our triple digit temps. Today it was 113 degrees🥵
That is super hot but I am glad that you are still able to have a harvest so far!
Those peppers look good. Thanks for sharing.
As far as Chick Fil A strips. I’ve never had them but I would roast them (char) then season them and freeze dry them. I think that’ll be tasty.
I bought my fall seeds last month. I’m not planning on ordering garlic this year. I plan on using my biggest bulbs from this year to plant out. Last year I did 2 bulbs of each variety. This year it’ll be 3. Prayerfully each year I’ll be able to increase it.
Ok that is good on your garlic and thanks for the tip on the peppers.
I haven't harvested a tomato or pepper!! So I'm jealous!!
Thank you Barbara. You are NOT an introvert 😊. You enjoy your own company and you should. You work hard in that garden of yours. Relax and reflect on your accomplishments 😊 and goals I’m going to sign up for your class soon.
Thank you!
Freeze dried peppers are awesome I have enough put up all ready for a full year plus I ground some into power
That is great! How do you use your freeze dried peppers?
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead I add to soups chili's and sauces. And let then absorb liquid while cooking.. freeze dried diced tomatoes are great too
@AGardenersJourneyHomestead I freeze dry allot. Even make full MRE meals. That way during hurricane season and we are always prepped
@@craftyfarmer04 Great idea!
My pepper are sickly this year. I don’t know why but if I get any it will shock me silly. Yours look divine
Yes, this will be my 3rd or 4th year doing a Fall garden? I've started jotting down what I want to plant this year and preparing to buy seed.
Awesome!!
Ms. Barbara, I'm still watching every video you upload but from my television. I wanted to let you know I picked and ate my first tomato yesterday. When the vines were producing bottom rot tomatoes I put bone mill and blood mill on them and removed the damaged tomatoes. Thanks to you I was able to finally enjoy a tomato. My peppers are doing great! But! They don't look as big as yours. Sending you love always from Colorado!
I am in Colorado all week! I am glad you had your first tomato!!
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead - Oh! Wow! I hope Colorado is showing you it's best. If you get a free moment I would love to meet and treat you to lunch. However, today my husband is having eye surgery. But! Again, I hope my beloved Colorado is showing you all it's best.
@@godgardeningandme I love Colorado and I told my husband if the Lord ever call you to Colorado-please answer!! I am in a training class all week so I literally have no free time outside of the group -otherwise I would have loved to meet you. Are you in Denver?
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead - Yes, I live in Denver. I was born and raised in Denver. If I should hear of a church needing a pastor I will keep your husband in mind. My best friend from Nebraska always say the same when she comes to Denver for meetings. We never have time to connect. Safe travels.
@@godgardeningandme oh nice! Hopefully I can meet you the next time I am there!
Love those pepper.strps. maybe get one and look at ingredient s
Yes I saw the ingredients but I am trying to figure out how they got the texture.
Barbara make you some pepper jelly with your green and jalapeno peppers
I have never had pepper jelly...I am trying to picture what that would taste like. What do you put it on?
Hey beautiful new sub here. I love stuffed peppers I also like liver onions and peppers yum
Welcome!!
WOW I am so excited
Hello, what a load. Just so you know my 3 little plants are struggling to even get a, one flower. Look I'm not jealous 😂. I cut all of my store bought peppers and freeze them. I just dice them. I'm in zone 7. Congratulations on all your harvest. I enjoy your videos. I fermented my jalapeno peppers that I managed to grow. Have an awesome day
Congrats on your harvest and I am praying you get more peppers.
Sidebar Barbara.. This year I'm growing my red bell peppers from the seeds of 1 red bell pepper.
That is great!! Saving seeds is a help!
@@AGardenersJourneyHomesteadHoping for the best😊 Your harvest was bountiful
I love following you! I am Zone 7 as well, so i know if you're doing , t then i need to. We have the same work background. Corporate girl for a long time and last 12 years HR, payables/receivables etc for a small oil and gas fi, m and i love it!
I am very interested in your Fall garden planning course and will be signing up. I am always late getting my seeds started or planted until i found you! I did better this year for spring and want to do better for fall as well.
I am glad I have been helpful and yes, we have very similar backgrounds. Thanks for watching and I look forward to meeting you in the workshop!
I guess I need to sign up.. I want to do a fall garden.
Yes sign up! That would be amazing.
Barbara I know what you are talking about the roasted peppers and dry tomatoes from Chick-fil-a. I think they are freeze dried. I love them myself. Great bell pepper harvest. 😊
Thanks!
This is my fourth year doing any type of gardening. Now, in the last two years, I have had a small fall garden. This fall, I will take it up a little more.I will start my seedlings in mid-August.I will sow directly the mustard seeds.I have everything written down.❤
What zone are you in? Snd what are you planting for the fall? I am trying to decide… and I’m pulling out my tomatoes snd peppers next week… I’ve hit lettuce started inside . I am in zone 8. It’s hot!
@sharonmckee2403 I hope you see this because a lot of my comments are not being shown.Im In zone 9, I have a long growing season .Here are the things I'm growing from seed starting in mid-August.The mustard greens will be sown directly because, starting from seeds, the roots to ME tangle up.I will be planting from seeds Brussel sprouts, collards, spinach, cabbage, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, beets, purple cabbage, swiss chard, boy choy, tatso cabbage, radish some of these will be planted in my two green stalks also .Some of these things are still in my garden now, so depending on how they fair I won't replant them.I MAY do some beans, but that depends on my space.😊
OK that is great!
Peppers look fabulous!
I made that strawberry lemonade concentrate. It's so so good! Thank you
Yummy! So glad you made it and liked it!
Hi Barbara, will you please share the bags you are using to store your peppers? It would save me tons on sandwich bags. Thank you kindly. 💚👩🏽🌾
amzn.to/3VY9zS6
Idk what it is but I just don't have good luck with bell peppers so I took seeds from an organic lunchbox pepper I bought I liked and started them. They're absolutely loaded. Just waiting for them to ripen.
Way to improvise!
Are you talking about the charred tomato crispy bell peppers?😂
Yes!
freeze them and freeze drying
Have not did a fall garden
You should certainly try it! I hope to see you in the workshop!
I enjoy your channel, Barbara. I dice my peppers and green onions and wrap them in paper towel to prevent clumping and ice crystals from forming. Works for me!❤❤
Oh wow I have never heard that one before. Thanks for watching my channel and being here.
I can't wait until my peppers start poppin
Question??Why are you throwing your seeds away when you can preserve them and replant them and save on the cost of purchasing seeds, that is how I was taught and my grandparents where gardeners, it’s the best way to replant and save😜😁, just an idea or a thought🤔😊🦋❤️
Hi Mrs. Barbara! Do the bags you’re using help with preventing clumping and/or freezer burn? Thank you for adding the link.
Yes! Because it seals better to me than plastic bag.
have you tried saving some of your own garlic that you grow and plant for the next season
I did once!
The recipe is on tictok
I looked and did not see one. Send me a link if you see it.
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead it's blocking any links. Medium. Dot com. Charred tomato crispy red peppers is what to look for
I just wanna know where you get your shirts 😊
Lol yes they are my own gardening T-shirt line. Will relaunch it soon.
We might try that with an air fryer and we'll try to fry. I'll let you know
I'm not growing bell peppers this year. Instead, I planted lots of roasting peppers. I like to grill them, and for preserving them, I like to dehydrate them. Then I use them throughout the fall and winter in chili and soups.
Nice! What type of roasting peppers did you do?
The peppers look really good
Thank you!
I would think they are seasoned and dehydrated...
@@carlenelittle2587 I am going to try it!
Do you think maybe they’re airfried?🤔
Will your workshop be on u-tube?
No it will be on Zoom since it is paid.
Hi, enjoy watching your channel. I learn a lot from you. I am new gardener. Do you have good knowledge for zone 8b Georgia.? I have some seeds that says plant in August, I want to know do I plant them now as seeds and by August they should ready to plant
Thanks for watching! What seeds are they?
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead broccoli cauliflower beets spinach.
@@tracysrhythmiclife Yes you can start those seeds in August but if you can I would start them in the house since it is so hot and let them mature before you transplant them.
@@AGardenersJourneyHomestead start seeding in August or or now so at least by mid to late August they will be ready to plant in garden?
@@tracysrhythmiclife Start in August. Definitely sign up for my fall gardening workshop.
Hello I live in TN too. Friday the 19th of July I want to plant some bell peppers or do you think I should use a transplant?
Definitely I would use a transplant.
