- In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. In this video we demonstrate how to remove the textiles / fabrics from an Uppababy Vista or Cruz in order to wash or repair them, we also give tips for washing them in a washing machine.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If your textiles are worn, handwashing is advised, as the non-removable board can tear the fabric.

What is considered "worn"?? I've had my stroller for 3 years now but never had to wash it until now. A year ago, my husband forgot it in the trunk of our car for 2 weeks after it had been in the rain so it had mold all over the fabric. I want to give the stroller to my niece but need to get all this mold out so need to wash it. Now I'm afraid to do it at the risk of the board tearing the fabric.. yikes! What do you think??
@@QueenBee5o3 hi! Did you end up washing it?? I am wanting to do the same thing, also giving it to a family member but have never washed it myself but want to clean it up nice before giving it to them. Did it rip on you?? Also how did you wash it?? Thanks I’m advance. 😍
Is the board in the footrest plywood or plastic?
We’ve had ours since 2021- only spot cleaned since then but today I’m popping everything into the machine ready for baby number 2 . Thanks for the video
This has been very helpful. Easy to remove the parts. I washed all parts together, and unfortunately something scratched the seat cover badly. I'd recommend washing the parts separately. Also, putting the canopy back on after washing was nerve-wracking 😁
This was a super helpful video! Do you have a similar one for putting the textiles back on?😆

So helpful, thank you! Never managed to remove the hood until now
Thank you! This video was incredibly helpful while at my nanny job!
Thank you so much. I have the same one and you made my life so much easier. I'm going to wash mines now.
How did it come out? I haven’t washed mine completely since I bought it Oct 2019. I just did spot cleaning which is hard with a toddler. Lol
I would recommend washing it by hand and with a soft brush as the washing machine can be a little rough on these materials. Please follow the recommendations on the tag!
Thank you for such a clear, step by step, video. It was very helpful.

Thanks so much for your help!
Thanks you very much I struggle with mine 2day I letter came across your video It's help me 😃😃😃
Tysm very helpful
Some people have mention the fabric ripping or folding the boards causing a tear especially when folded up? Any advice on this?
Hi. I would try putting them in a mesh bag when washing! Hopefully that will help.
Just a comment to say don’t fold the seat as shown in the video - I did and it has created two holes from going round in the washing machine. Absolutely devastated
Same! I wish I had read through the comments. It created a burn/friction hole 😢
The same has happened to me!!
Same! I wonder why uppababy won't create their own videos?

Great video. Thank you!
Thank you for the helpful video! My fabrics are in the wash rn 😅
Thanks!
I thought the board’s inside are cardboard? About to spot clean mine but nervous to damage it since my wife found a video where someone explained that the vista 2 has cardboard inside of it and not too leave it too wet or it’ll damage. Any way to confirm that I have plastic boards on a vista v2?
Now if we could figure out how to get rid of the ugly scratches on the aluminum frame, that would make my day! Mine has barely been used and we just found out we’re expecting. Would love to freshen up my stroller, without buying a new frame.
Did you ever figure it out?
@@oliviafuller2824 no 😬
Magic Eraser!
I used some acetone to get pain scuffs off and wiped it down with wd40 and it looks brand new!
Thx man! Very helpful!
Great video. Uppababy does not recommend machine washing the fabrics and says you should only hand wash. I would prefer to machine wash to get all the nooks and crannies. Have you experienced any issues after the fabric has been machined washed? Fading, extra drying time, wrinkles? Thanks
No, no problems, washing works fine. Best to let it drip-dry though :)
All retailers and manufacturers will say not machine washable to cover themselves.i have washed mine in the machine just a little washing detergent and a 30 degree wash.leave to dry naturally and no problem.u could always get a seat liner to protect the pram from getting dirty.
@@thewilliamsfamilyest Did you have any problems with the boards or fabric ripping? Did you fold the boards to fit into the machine as instructed in the video or put it in open? Very nervous to machine wash as can't replace it!
I’ve seen one too many comments on this thread saying that the seat got friction holes in it. UPPaBaby says hand wash I’m not gonna play with $1500 like that 😅
Hello!
Thank you so much forn you aid!
Simple question: during washing is spin dry allowed or better avoid it?
Thank you from Italy!
hi, great video. is there any possibility to know the seat textile measure? I need to adapt it to another stroller, really appreciate the help
So you never had any issues with the board inside the seat getting messed up when you wash?
well did you do it and find out? im about to right now lol. in theory as long as you use the gentle function it should be fine
Isn’t it plastic?
Btw I did it and my board was fine. As long as it fits in the drum without bending, and it’s on a gentle cycle. There’s no force that could break it.
HUGE Thank you!!!!!
Can I replace my older model VISTA canopy with the VISTA V2 canopy?
Yes!
this was great, thank you
Thank you That was perfectly informative!
Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Thanks!
Hello. Thank you for your video. I want to ask you something. Is it available to washing on wash machine. Because instructions says ony hand wash?
Washing machine is fine, provided you use a colder cycle, and hang them up to dry :)
Zeynep Hanım, hepsini aynı anda makineye atmayın. Ben öyle yaptım, ve koltuğun kılıfının üstünde uzun bi çizik oluştu. Onun dışında bi problem yok. Üç parçayı tek tek yıkamanızı tavsiye ederim.
Soner Koca tesekkur ederim, cok sagolun bilgilendirmeniz icin. Dikkat edecegilm bu hususa..
My strada seat unit is stuck any ideas how to fix this?
Thank you so much
Hey not sure if you will respond to this due to the age of this video but for model 0417-CRZ-US it says for the seat it should be hand wash can you machine wash this stroller seat? Thank you in advance
I have machine washed it without problems, BUT it depends very much on the condition of the textiles (if they're worn, then the backboard can rip them). Hand-washing is definitely safer. :)
Why is it that none of these show how to put it all back? How do you know which metal bar goes in which hole on the shade when you put it back???
Just wonder is that for pre-2014 version the fabrics cannot be removed like that in the video?
Same! Having trouble removing the seat
Ah just got it now. The clips are more like a C if that makes sense, so you have to move the fabric to one side or the other of the clip to remove it.
Can the footrest be detached, please? I’ve been reading it can get broken when flying, so was wondering if removing it prior to checking could be a good solution?
I bought the travel bag and have never had a problem flying with damage
That Uppababy travel bag is amazing! They guarantee to replace anything that gets broken when using it. A piece on my stroller broke about 2 years ago. I contacted Uppababy, sent pics, and a receipt and they immediately sent me a replacement piece. You gotta make sure to file your travel bag after you purchase it to her that warranty.
There is no video for the UPPAbaby stroller I have it doesn't say the brand it just says UPPAbaby it's probably one of the old ones and it doesn't have that stuff it's different and I can't close it literally no one in my house will help me
Hi, can you do some videos on icandy prams please? Struggling to find videos for cleaning them :)
We will eventually, Icandy is hard to get ahold of in Norway, but we plan to start ordering abroad at some point this year and Icandy is on the list :)
If you can only hand wash then no point in taking it off?
It would be best to hand wash it with a horse and soap🤷🏻♀️ i washed the nuna car seat fabric in the washer and it is all clumped up and bad now.
For the love of god, it’s pronounced “ChAHH-SEE”
I quite 4

Thank you really helpfull! But putting the canopy back on is not as easy 🥲
Thank you, but the website does not recommend putting in washing machine. I will hand wash the seat.
Thank very much sir!
You're very welcome :)
Thank you!!!
Thank you!
