Hi Foz, I’m in the process of rebuilding my new to me gas gas jtr250. It’s a 96 and is in pretty neglected condition but it’s starting to really take shape now. I was overjoyed to to find your channel this evening and am binge watching all your videos, fantastic bud 👍

Do I have to unscrew the fat ring with one of them tools you modified in order to replace the seals ?, or does the golden tube come off with the old seal if I just pull strong?

Why don't you change the elastomer donut of the shock ? It's cheap and easy.
Didn't see the point in removing the top end of the shock to slide a donut on that won't really be needed in all honesty parts are hard to get for the Sachs rear shock and it's not fully serviceable or was never intended to be worked on kind of a throw away unit 👍
@@fozinwozz9738 (goggle translate sorry )Use a vise with aluminum V-shapes to protect the chromium from the stem. Heat the bottom of the shock absorber so that the treadlocker will give way. Unscrew the buttom shock absorber and place the new donut. Sachs shocks have an automotiv level of quality unlike marzocchi or paioli.

That is a car suspension coil spanner for lowering springs that I have grinded to fit in the hole of the fork 👍 ebay cheap

@@FK.87 if you pull the gold leg out your gonna have to replace all the copper bushings and it's a pain to get the leg back In.
Try undoing the seal holder using a piece of rubber and some long wrench grips
