Well its done! Thanks for all your support! Without you all, this wouldn't have happened at all. I am very excited for you all to see this. I know that there is room for improvement but this was my first time at trying to do a darker side to Thomas films.
PLOT:
Gordon is the strongest and fastest engine on the North Western Railway. The Fat Controller tells him that Flying Scotsman will be coming to celebrate his rebuild. However, two weeks after being told about Scotsman, he hasn’t appeared and is concerned for him. So him, Euston and Henry all go and find Scotsman. He meets his brother at the scrapyards and is set with a decision. Will he kill his brother or will Gordon face his last day on Sudrian rails?
I want to thank Conor and Leo for being there for me and helping make the film to the best of my ability.

No, the reason why I said no on the comments because the Flying Scotsman is my all time favorite train! And the Flying Scotsman should not be scrapped because it is special. Seeing this video makes me sad. I don’t like seeing trains getting scrapped. It is kind of like when people hate to see animals turn into meat. So stop! You are making me uncomfortable. I don't exactly understand why it was called "Discovery", and holy hell, that last half was dark, but in all it was an interesting story, to say the least. R.I.P Flying Scotsman 1911-2016. You will be missed.

I've especially wanted to mention that I personally felt shockingly surprised when Diesel 10 killed Gordon's brother, and especially since I personally do have lots of sympathy for Gordon on the death of his remaining brother!

This was great however a bit different than I expected. Gave me a "Tobias and The Half Pariah" or "Sodor Dark Times" vibe.

Excellent work! Seeing characters change, their sides no one knew or suspected, especially Derek. Like others say, this could have been better with a longer running time, but for what you did, it is magnificent. Seeing the world, Sodor, and characters in a darker point of view, it is excellent. Good job!

A great solid effort, again could've benefitted from some tiny adjustments, more polishing of scenes and sounds but was still great to watch and visually impressive! Scotsman's scream as well was so grabbing it was brilliant. Looking forward to seeing the next one and to help out if needed :p

After Tobias and The Half Pariah, my expectations for a TTTE fan movie were low. But this changed every view of mine.
I'd give it a 7.5 out of ten.
that's because tobias was badly made (badly shot then badly edited), far too confusing, and had a shit plot

TBH, this was a rather good film, yet I think that it could be better. Like The Great Race, this needed a longer running time - it felt too crammed in, from one scene to another - I feel you could've done more, especially at the start. Secondly, I feel we needed to see more of Gordon's pain. After losing his brother, he wouldn't be smiling so much, however it was fitting for the "Good luck little brother". I feel that the idea was good, but it just needed some more tweaks, especially a longer running time. Aside from my points of improvement, it's great to see it out. I enjoyed this on the whole, and I'm sure it's not easy to pull off a TTTE Fan Film. ;)

*CRITICISM AND POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD*
Now, I don't want to sound like a dick, I just want to give criticism. *There might be spoilers,* so don't click/tap "read more" if you haven't watched it all the way through yet.
"Discovery" was an overall interesting fan film. It certainly isn't the best, but it clearly had a lot of work put into it.
Now, I do have a few issues with the movie, which I will address here. The movie felt rushed. It took place over maybe 3 days (excluding the random two week jump). I understand that the runtime might've been 30 minutes or so, but it could've been played out a bit better if it was 45 minutes, maybe even an hour.
The other issue I have is some of the voices... The acting isn't top notch (it's better than what I can do, obviously) but like the film itself, people put work into their lines. However, the people who voiced The Fat Controller, Henry, and Scotsman should probably be changed, either that, or they should improve upon things. I could barely hear Henry,and I couldn't hear The Fat Controller. Flying Scotsman was a bit better than Henry, but his main issue was that he kinda seemed like he was trying to be quiet. For example, when he says "Gordon!" at the scrapyard, he sounds like he's right outside someone's bedroom, so he talks quieter than what he actually can do.
Now for the music.
The music sounds mainly like free-use music, which is fine, as you might not have had people who could produce music. (I've done the same with some of my videos, too.)
The main things in this that were good was Gordon, Houston, and the camera shots. God damn those shots were good. Hell, they were great! Except when the frames dropped.
Overall, this movie probably deserves a 6.5/10. (Harsh, I know.) This movie had work put into it, I can tell, but it just felt rushed, the voices weren't hearable, and it just seemed like someone tried to do Tobias and the Half Pariah, except they didn't have the same things Tines had. (The ability to compose music, voice actors, etc.)
Don't get me wrong, I probably would never have been able to make something on this scale, but I feel like it was lacking things that are required for a good movie, not an "okay" movie.
Sorry if I came off sounding dickish, I just thought this movie needed criticism.

I liked the whole idea and story, and I completely understand how hard it is to make something like this however.. The plot was really rushed, there was hardly any suspense or drama it just sort of happened. There was no longing conversation between Scotsman and Gordon, Gordon arrived and Scotsman died... yeah.. The voice acting really wasnt all that enthusiastic either. Like I said before though I love the story and what it could've been and it's really hard to make a short film like this but, It really could've been something better. It's a great piece of work but its rushed, to the point I didn't like it so much. I see alot of potential in future films however, as you really have a grasp on story, it just could've been lengthened more and had more plot. All the best to you!

This was a good story. But I would liked to have seen the reasons for actions fleshed out and why characters say and do things that happen in the film. That way the dramatic moments can have more feeling to them. And some of the shots where trains move and stop went on a bit long. Trim them a bit in the future and it will look better. But overall, it was a good video. I like the ideas behind it and the story overall.

not my cuppa tea but still great non the less....one thing I was hoping to see at the was one of the diesels pulling diesel 10 out of the fire and then the camera panning round to diesel 10 face with his eyes closed then BOOM eyes open and he smiles and starts laughing all evil like.
This was good, but a little confusing tbh. The whole scotsman and diesel 10 strain thing was really random. Another thing that was a bit confusing was derek said that gordon was to come with him? So i dont get why there was a random chase when gordon could of just gone with him?. The voice acting for certain characters was a little off too. Overall visuals were nice :).
I have got to admit, script writing is not my portfolio to be honest. I thought the the voices were alright for each character. The chase was to add more suspense (but didn't work) :p Thanks for you opinion though :)
