Update 5-2017; James..Two shoulder surgeries, and I'm able to play again !!!! I'm elated, overjoyed, and amazed. After 5 1/2 years off, I can play, and continue learning fingerpicking where I left off. I'll still watch your videos. They inspire me to grow as a guitarist.

I agree 100%. Complexity often distracts from the actual music. I sometimes feel that other channels have lost sight of that and just create the hardest arrangements possible, probably to show off how fast they can move their fingers.

I use a pair of Rode NT5s and typically use something similar to a close AB pair, angled slightly outwardly like an ORTF pair
