Follow your heart, find the truth. don't let grey hair depart you from roots. If you work at a desk, or wear some boots, Know theres some always there for you. I'll hold your hand, I'll hold your smile and give back some youth. The waters get rough, but only the sky stays blue. Stars arise even after sunshine is through. For anyone who doesn't love themselves, know, I love you times two. Disguised as lite, hiding in plain site for you. Balance is underneath. Not the seed. But root. Knowledge is nothing without the wisdom to guide you through.
I am genuinely surprised as to how someone could possibly leave a dislike on this video. This was played flawlessly. Excellent stuff, liked and subscribed. I will look forward to seeing more of your future content!
ya dude, your music is, how do i put it. when you hear it you stop whatever your doing, it draws you in and changes your mood. now that's damn good music man.
You add so much emotion into a lot of your music I do say it's a very quite a impressive my music tastes are reasonably old schools 60s 70s 80s but some of the new music you do do is actually really good I may only be 18 at the moment and doing my degree and mechanical engineering working on cars as my hobby as well as playing music James keep up the good work you have inspired me to do more Fingerstyle music
+Julien Paarmann Thanks man :) I originally didn't do this one because I don't like arranging things similarly to others, but instead of pointlessly making it more difficult I just decided to arrange it simply and just put my feel to it :)
old but this is fantastic ur one of my favorite finger style guitarists of all time man you help a lot of people in more ways than just teaching & being awesome sauce at guitar (:
+Brian Zhang Thanks Brian! I didn't cover this one at first as I don't like arranging things similarly to others, but instead of making it pointlessly more difficult I just decided to do it simply and add my feel to it :) I played so heavily in the later choruses that the guitar was going out of tune near the end haha
+James Bartholomew sometimes, more often than not simplicity is the best thing! Guys like Tommy Emmanuel especially know their limitations and stick with their strengths, nothing wrong with that, as long as you know how to use your strengths to your advantage.
Hey James have you heard of Eric Roche? Watching you play reminds me of him for some reason. The technique in your picking hand is sublime in the extreme.
I just downloaded the music today! im 4 pages in! this is a really amazing arrangement.Hopefully in a week or so i can post a cover of this. Thank you for making your arr. available at no cost

I loooooovvvve guitars 🎸 music 🎶 and out of all of them i think James is the Best you have magic in you 💙 i hope i learn how to play the Guitar 🎸 like you ....💙
+Dionisius Baryatdika Probably, other than the bridge, it's actually pretty similar to most arrangements, which I usually don't like to do, but it was highly requested. I care about making songs sound good, not pointlessly making them difficult :)

It's been 7 years, and I'm still listening to this 7 years guitar fingerstyle.
8 now
And it will keep going.
Once I was seven years old my momma told me
Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely
Once I was seven years old
It was a big big world, but we thought we were bigger
Pushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure
Once I was eleven years old my daddy told me
Go get yourself a wife or you'll be lonely
Once I was eleven years old
I always had that dream like my daddy before me
So I started writing songs, I started writing stories
Something about that glory just always seemed to bore me
'Cause only those I really love will ever really know me
Once I was twenty years old, my story got told
Before the morning sun, when life was lonely
Once I was twenty years old
I only see my goals, I don't believe in failure
'Cause I know the smallest voices, they can make it major
I got my boys with me at least those in favor
And if we don't meet before I leave, I hope I'll see you later
Once I was twenty years old, my story got told
I was writing about everything, I saw before me
Once I was twenty years old
Soon we'll be thirty years old, our songs have been sold
We've traveled around the world and we're still roaming
Soon we'll be thirty years old
I'm still learning about life
My woman brought children for me
So I can sing them all my songs
And I can tell them stories
Most of my boys are with me
Some are still out seeking glory
And some I had to leave behind
My brother I'm still sorry
Soon I'll be sixty years old, my daddy got sixty-one
Remember life and then your life becomes a better one
I made a man so happy when I wrote a letter once
I hope my children come and visit, once or twice a month
Soon I'll be sixty years old, will I think the world is cold
Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me
Soon I'll be sixty years old
Soon I'll be sixty years old, will I think the world is cold
Or will I have a lot of children who can warm me
Soon I'll be sixty years old
Once I was seven years old, momma told me
Go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely
Once I was seven years old
Once I was seven years old

Listen from 38-48 sec
There is one very unique note at 43 that is almost flat sounding but it makes for a great transitional note. Love the flavor.
Well done young man. I've seen arrangements without the capo and with... I like your expressions

Wow. Amazing. Aboslutely amazing.
This is now definitely my favorite cover from you. I like this song so much and you arranged it perfectly, just like it should be arranged. Well done!

Lovely use of dynamics in this one James, going from really quiet to really loud at times. You're a master at work mate.

I think this is the easiest version among all of the fingerstyle guitar cover of Lukas Graham - 7 Years. Importantly, this sounds so awesome! (y)

Amazing cover, I absolutely love your stuff, it's amazing
A los siete años mi madre me dijo
Haz amigos, no te quedes solo
Busca esposa, no te quedes solo
Cuando tenía once años
Junto a mi padre yo siempre había soñado
Tendré sesenta años, mi padre murió a esa edad
Recuerda tu vida y podrá la otra mejorar
Con una carta él lloró y de felicidad
Espero que mis hijos me visiten una vez más
Tendré sesenta años pero el mundo es frío
¿Puedo abrazar tan fuerte a mis nietos?
Tendré sesenta años
Tendré sesenta años pero el mundo es frío
¿Puedo abrazar tan fuerte a mis nietos?
Tendré sesenta años
A los siete años mi madre me dijo
Haz amigos, no te quedes solo
A los siete años
This one was my favorite. You're awesome
