Every song on their first 3 albums are some of the greatest songs ever written - Fix You, Shiver, Yellow, Trouble, The Scientist, In My Place, Speed of Sound, Talk, & so many more. I never get tired of listening to those albums & they always feel like it’s the first time I’ve heard them. ❤

20 years ago I was 40, and my friend had died. I was having a terrible time sleeping, and I turned on this new show.
It was a mess, but I still watched.
Then you finished up with Coldplay, my friend's favorite band.
I cried and went to bed, and slept and dreamt of my friend at home, where he wanted to be.
Thank you Jimmy and Coldplay for 20 years of sleep.

I’m pretty sure I’ve watched this at least 20 times now such an amazing presentation I have loved this band since it’s beginning way to go Coldplay!
That’s because it was pre-recorded and edited. It took two evenings to do it.

Everyone always talks about certain songs or bands defining eras. Coldplay is a band that defined memories.
A rare artist who sounds exactly the same on Spotify, RUclips, on the radio or in real life (if you've been lucky enough to hear him live)... awesome performance!

that whole mix was prerecorded and lip synced. It is a great mix, but kind of insulting to try and pass it off as a live performance.

I used to play on this on my dad's old Dell computer with the background swirls and tunnels on windows . If anyone remember those! I was only in 3rd grade when this came out! Still my fav

saw coldplay in concert for the first time this summer, if you ever have the chance to go see them, you need to go, it's one of the greatest shows ive ever been to and truly a moment i will never forget
I took my daughter to the Head Full of Dreams tour. I cried with joy a few times, I think she ended up laughing at me. The only low point is they didn't play my favorite song, Speed of Sound.

They are far from underrated. True minds know they are the best by this century, and when they quit it will be like Queen or whoever where people appreciate their music more when they're gone - with this said, they will go down as one of the bands of all time, probably even top 3

Coldplay has been through some of my worst time and when I got to see them live last year, I cried. Thank you Coldplay on wonderful 20 years.

Absolutely incredible. The entire show was amazing but Coldplay doing Clocks with Jimmy - was EPIC.
This is the most creative and loving performances I’ve ever seen. The strings, vocals, video of past performances, Jimmy bringing in the fire, my own Cold Play nostalgia from 20 years ago, and the passion and love of music shared between Chris and Jimmy cannot be matched. I feel like I just left a concert and I’m in awe. Thank you all for the show tonight. It was therapeutic.
I thank god everyday for the privilege of hearing, specially for being able to listen to music. Clocks is so special and is such a masterpiece. To this day I still cry because I could not get tickets for their concerts in my city, but at least I can hear them again and again because of technology. long live Coldplay

I watched this show 20 years ago and tonight's show was strangely emotional to watch. 20 years ago, I was in an abusive marriage and at my lowest point. I had never heard of Coldplay before and I remember loving that performance and my husband made fun of them. I ended up leaving that marriage, opening a business, and I became a HUGE Coldplay fan. Now my kids are grown, I'm very happily remarried (15 happy years so far), and we RV full-time. I even have a Coldplay playlist! I'm honestly the happiest I've ever been! Life just goes on and sometimes you don't realize just how much has changed.

Me too!! I am 73 years old and turned my daughter onto Coldplay some years ago. She went to see them 3 or 4 times within a few weeks 5 or 6 years ago. Then we both went to Chicago to Soldier Field to see them. We live in Indianapolis. I wanted to go see them last year at Soldier Field again but I have CRPS and am in loads of pain and wouldn't be able to walk to my seat there, let alone being able to ride for 2-1/2 hours to get to Chicago. I was so very bummed out. I so love Coldplay. They are fantastic......

Hate to be a nerd but that's a saxophone 🎷
I should know this better as I'm a pianist myself, but others in the thread have identified it as a bass clarinet, which made sense to me as the sound wasn't quite the same to my ear as a sax and my half-educated idea of a bass clarinet was that it looked sax-like. Again, it's cringe that I don't know this definitively on my own, but I'm putting my faith in the consensus here. Perhaps you can point out why they're wrong?
