I've constantly questioned his batting (not wicket keeping), reviewing and captaincy, but he really showed his true colours today - he's a genuine, nice dude. I'm an Aussie, Lyon fumble was inept, last umpire decision inept, Stokes was absolutely amazing. Great result for cricket and the series (which will go down as probably one of the best). I believe cricket is like a time line. If Paine hadn't of reviewed, it would have changed the future course of events meaning Lyon would have bowled that LBW ball sooner with probably a completely different outcome (meaning that ball wouldn't have happened with that particular outcome. I'm watching Back to the Future tonight. Lets just enjoy the historic innings of Stokes' and the amazing outcome. Surely it all serves to make the final two tests a mouthwatering prospect. To all the haters from both sides, get a life!
remember the press conference before the world cup...in that press conference every captain was asked if thwy want to pick any one player from any team....majority picked butler and kohli....srilankan captain karunaratne says Ben stokes out of the box...people were making fun of him at that point...but look now...how good were his thoughts...stokes is Truly a matchwinner...proved in world cup...now in Ashes...
Good Maturity, he will become better as a captain as he captains more test, he is only captaining in his 9th test so Australian public should not be too hard on him and his batting is fine, he will score runs ,have been out on pull short, so he will score runs in 4th and 5th test. Good Charachter, good human being, shades of Kane Williamson in him at the presentation.
He's actually a good test captain tactically.. him bring captain takes massive pressure of Steve smith.. and well look what's happened he's turned into an amazing player..
