I love Prokofiev's War and Peace which I have on DVD, a spectacular opera, and the waltz is wonderful.

Thanks, Dave. Yes, I very much like the Rozhdestvenky Prokofiev symphonies, sonic limitations notwithstanding.. He does the seventh symphony with the original ending, and it goes so well..

Is the Rozhdestvensky cycle there the same one that is with the "Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra" on Melodiya (at least, that's what the orchestra is called on my Melodiya Rozhdestvensky cycle, squeezed onto 3 cds rather than 4)?

The Ashkenazy Cinderella is also in the “Ashkenazy: 50 years on Decca” box, which is still in print, and I would argue, has the best of all Ashkenazy. I guess this is my way of saying I miss the box set reviews.

I don’t get it. I do boxed sets all the time.

Aaahhh yes the Ashkenazy Cinderella with Cleveland. The music doesn't equal Romeo and Juliet though, so you may end up skipping tunes, but this is a gorgeous recording
