I might have to get a set of the 20mms. The stock wheels on the premiums are very nice and really pair well with the Neptune.
Thanks for the amazing videos !
Definitely looks better with the spacers
20mm looks best to me.
Might be worth mentioning that whatever wheels you are using need to have clearance on the mounting pads for the tail ends of the studs if they stick out passed the spacer. PS: Just purchased a set from your site. Great video!
debating wheel spacers for another car atm but my question is with the bolt on type spacers do you need/ recommend to replace the wheel studs on the car side (not spacer itself) to something like ARP? I didnt see that performed in this video but am assuming because its a newer car perhaps
I got 25mm on order for fronts and back, super stoked
Hey man did you lower your car as well? How do they fit?
I am planning on using 25 mm back and 20 mm front with stock wheels. Would that affect anything such as hitting fenders?
Hi guys. Quick one from me. Im about to replace my GT86 wheels with the sexay Weds SA10r but heres the thing its only 18x7.5jj
For flusher look, the shop peeps mentioned to add spacers. What they are recommending is to balance, install 15mm (F) and 20mm (R). Would that be okay? Or u guys would reco just stick to the same set both F & R? Kindly advise!
Will the 25mm rear spacer and 20mm front spacer damage the wheels, suspension and bushing in the long run?
Can you test fit a 18x8.5 et35-40 wheels
Just ordered 20 mm for the front and 25 for the back🙌
just commented and ask how that would look like lol, I'm assuming you have it done by now what do you think??
QUESTION: with a Gen2 BRZ limited. If I add 20mm spacers; can I still use the factory closed end lug nuts? I prefer to keep them because they match up well with my custom wheel locks. Any input is appreciated!
Not much of a concern on a brand new car but it's important to clean the mating surfaces to prevent unwanted vibration.
What's that?
@@eliotgarcia21 Clean the hub surface and the wheel surface when rotating tires or installing spacers. This will prevent unwanted vibration.
Thank you for the advice. What should we clean it with?
@@thisisntsergio1352 I personally spray WD40 on a microfiber rag and clean the hub surface and the wheel mating surface. I also do this every tire/wheel rotation.
Will installing Wheel Spacers cause more rocks to be flung up into your paint rather than in the wheel well?
Depends how aggressive you go. You will likely notice a bit more dirt and dust on the side of the car if you go with something like a 25mm.
I wanna get new wheels (maybe 18s) wonder if adding the spacer and the larger wheels on stock suspension (not going to lower it, it's already low enough IMO) will cause any issues.
Depends on what size and offset the new wheels are.
@@FTspeed I am looking into the newly released Advan GT Beyond 18x9 +51. Will it fit with stock suspension?
@@paulshi5974 It might with a 245 or smaller tire but you will definitely need spacers to make a +51offset to work. You would only need like a 10mm spacer though, which is a bit more in depth to install. You have to knock out the studs from the hubs and install new longer ones.
@@boost331 Hmm then maybe I’ll go with the 18x8.5 +45 offset, plus 235 tires
@@paulshi5974 fitment industries has a gallery where it shows all the setups that have worked for other people. wheel size, offsets and tires and coils too
If I installed the SS1 coilovers with a 25 mm spacer would you expect rubbing or anything to be wrong? Looking into it now
Looks like 25mm might be too much, 20mm seems to be the way to go. Some people have decent amounts of rubbing with the 25's and lowered.
On the backside of the OE wheels, can you advise if there are cavities in the spaces where the OE studs will be at?
Yes there is.
yes there were cavities in the OE wheels for my 2018 Toyota but it just fit in with 20mm. I think anything less and the cavity wouldn't be enough.
Will the wheel spacers decrease the handling of the vehicle? I don't want to sacrifice the handling for looking.
It should benefit handling but adding too large spacers will mess up the suspension geometry
you forgot to use medium-strength, blue threadlocker designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners
The Link in bio is not working
I just ordered a set of rays 57CR, and it will be delivered only by the end of December... the wheels in the video are stock and after installing the 20mm spacers you get exactly the same look I want for my car. My wheels are 8.5j +45... does anybody know if I'll even need spacers to get the same look as the one with 20mm and stock wheels ? Thanks
Doubt you will need spacers with that width and offset
Is camber alignment required if only installing spacers without coilovers
Nope
Do y’all know if I’m gonna get any rubbing on the front from 20 mm spacers on stock rims and suspension? I know 25mm in the back won’t but idk anything about the front end lmfaoo
depending on how low you are and if you run any negative camber you will rub on harsh dips
Replace wheel spacer with hub breaker
These spacers will work for the 2023 premium model as well right ?
Yes!
So what happens when the tire rubs on the top of the wheel well every time you hit a bump? Sure they look nice but I'm sure the engineers have already thought about that..
That doesn't happen if everything is set up correctly. There are a lot of things that go into wheel fitment.
is the hub size 56.1 on those spacers?
Yes, that's correct.
@@KevinVo then they'll fit my '13 wrx!
@@holeshot26 yep same fitment!
Please help I’m having trouble prying off the duckbill spoiler
It doesn't just pry off. It's bolted in.

Hey what's up man. I just got my GR86 last week. I live in AZ and we only have 91. One gas station near me has 100 but we got no 93. Is 91 ok??
Yes 91 is fine. That's what we have here too.
Did you roll the car after putting it back on the ground? The suspension looks too tall.
The studs on the car look to long for the 20mm spacer. If the studs stick through the spacer it want allow the wheel to sit tight against the spacer. Be really careful as this will cause that wheel to come off.
There are gaps behind the wheel for the studs to fit.
Ok, but who wants to see 3" spacers on the car? LOL
Yea lol
Hey do you know a good brand of wheel spacers or adapter so I can run 5x114.3 for the gr86?
@@joshuaarenas2719 We offer FactionFab 5x100 to 5x114 adapters too in both 20mm and 25mm sizes.
Anyone else ditching their sti for this car lol or is that just me.
You won't be the only one.
no
Probably
Wheel spacers are never the answer
Wheel spacers are actually very commonly used across the whole automotive industry. High quality wheel spacers that are installed correctly work just fine.
I daily drove my 2014 frs with 20mm in front and 25mm rear for almost a year with absolutely no problem.
@@FTspeed Very true, I daily drove my 2014 frs with spacers for almost a year with no issue. They weren’t even name brand, just some hub centric ones from eBay.
Nothing wrong with quality spacers installed properly.
They certainly aren’t here in Australia, they’re illegal here.
The audacity of this dogwater company is pitiful. For those that don't know, Kevin Vo was fired from FT Speed on 12/13/2022 in a disgusting way. Buy your parts from somewhere else than FTSpeed or Subispeed folks; support somewhere that supports its employees and treats them with respect.
An 8-year, passionate, face-of-your company employee deserves the respect and courtesy of at least a conversation being had about any conflicts of interest or things that would necessitate termination of employment if continued.
To outright fire him out of the blue without giving him a heads up or notice that something he is doing/saying will not fly and deny him the ability to make an informed decision on what his options are going forward reflects poorly upon FTSpeed/Subispeed.
In a game where you just play the middleman, I will gladly take my business elsewhere to some other middleman that isn't FTSpeed/SubiSpeed; there are a plethora of other options out there that can access more or less the same catalogue of items.
FTSpeed/Subiespeed did Kevin Vo dirty, when Kevin Vo was a SIGNIFICANT part of why the company is as successful as it is today - hopefully yall's marketshare takes a deserving hit and Kevin lands somewhere that will treat him better and be worthy of the good-business his passion and efforts bring forth.
If you enjoy content like this, look up and support Kevin Vo's personal youtube channel, where I'm sure he'll be continuing to put out excellent, valueable content without getting screwed by SubiSpeed.
