    Be prepared, the geared hubs typically fail the clutch or spray assy. That or they melt the gears if loaded hard at low rpm. Good tutorial for a hall replacement, done that before as well as replaced Fets in the controller. Thats probably what burnt on your controller by the way. Pretty common. Really need to get back to dirtbikes though!👍🏻

      What do you mean with "clutch" and "spray assy". I'm currently trying to troubleshoot my bike and am looking for potential causes.
      As for the video it's not very good, if you want to troubleshoot hall sensors what you typically want to do is measure at the connectors which voltages they output instead of checking for continuity, some hall sensors can fail by reporting wrong voltages, I have seen some that report 2v instead of 5 or dont go to 0 entirely which messes with the controller and by this method of checking for continuity could lead to a bad troubleshoot.

    been using the same bldc hub since 2009 no probs, my brother has a 1 year old voilamart motor and the hall has just gone bad on one of the sensors. cheap crap.
    Also worth noting you can test the hall with a multimeter. give it the 5v it needs to operate, just connect it to a working controller, connect ground probe to hall ground, and positive probe to A B or C hall, set sensitivity low and slowly turn motor, you'll see voltage climb and drop on working ones, no change is your faulty one.

  • @Timo-Epis
    @Timo-Epis Год назад +1

    The tester led light gets on when the hall sensor gets in the "on" position because of the magnet. When the hall sensor is in "on" position the hall sensor has a voltage accros his last pin that now feeds the led light in the tester. The led of the tester of it's corresponded hall sensor just need to get on. You don't need to watch at the configuration. It either goes on or not.
