I used to valet park cars back in the late 80s and early 90s. The sc400 and sc300 were my absolute favorites. Quiet and fast. It was when Lexus was brand new. I remember getting into LS 400s and couldn’t believe how quiet. Some viewers might think that you are being petty/bitchy about them dropping the ball, but their mistakes cost you thousands of dollars and your time. No one at these auctions takes pride in their work and their bias for only the top volume sellers is now not even hidden. I'm THIS close to just being done with the auctions and buying only off the street. The selling prices on the street may be $1,000 higher, but after fees, transport, and less risk (since you can inspect it more), it's actually a better deal. Plus you get the title right away.

You have to get your head back on. You buy cars to retail them. Not keep them. But one car a year that you love and drive it. Be prepared to lose your butt when you go to sell it. People don’t have the same tastes as you.

The Diahatsu here in the UK is a "pocket rocket" with a manual gearbox, in the USA your steering wheel is on the wrong side and you guys prefer automatics.
They are 95k and up here in Canada and mostly well over 100k. No point in buying a car and dumping it after a year or two. I keep cars for a long time so not much of a depreciation hit. My oldest one is a mint white 2010 S4 with 455hp and a monster daily driver. The last 2 911's were sold for a bit more than cost. One after 2 yrs and the other after 5 yrs. That etron could be driven for 10 years plus. Audi uses separate cells that can be replaced according to their website. My current modern type 911s is worth more than what I paid in 2020. A fool would be $4700 per month on a 42 month lease for this 911. I have no loans on any cars.
That car today isn't worth more than 60K retail. But whatever bath you will take today will pale in comparison to the bath you with take once the BYD electric cars go on sale for 18K new in the US. Rip that bandaid off fast and call it a stupid tax. Lol

Craig, It's not rocket science mate. The Audi EV is a rapidly depreciating asset and you've two options: - suck up the lost value and keep it as a personal family car OR - meet the market, advertise it for $55,000 and offer low cost Finance, Insurance, and Care Plan and hope to pick up some dealer commissions from these add-on items You keep it longer, You lose. You gotta clear it asap. Warmest Regards - David from Melbourne, Australia 🥸👌🍷🍷❤️❤️🦘
Haha same here. My cousin got a used audi. Don't know what she was thinking .with 50k miles . She drove it for 2 years and something in the transmission failed .going to cost thousands to repair . So she just drives it back and forth just to work like 9 miles total. If she wants to go further she takes her mom's 2006 toyota camry lol
Craig, when you realized the Audi wasn't registered and the wheels were scratched, that was the time to pull it from the auction. You say you love the car, it already took the depreciation hit, consider fixing the wheels and keep it.
You would think the auction would make the oversight up to you- how bout promoting the heck out of it for an upcoming auction and giving you a discounted commission for the inconvienence. Where is their customer service at?? I would go for an IROC Convert since you're into old school. Iam sure your family of 5 would love to push and get you unstuck on your way to the ski hills. LOL
Hey Bud, Yeah it sounds like a good idea to turn it into a rally car. A lot of people really enjoy them and it’s the Lexus. Win/ win. Make it happen Captain
the only feasible option to get an EV here in the UK is via a lease or as a company car (good tax benefits) - after the term, the car goes back. Otherwise, hybrid wins......or wait to see what Toyota does with it's hydrogen solution.

Nobody is buying that thing! He was one of the few suckered that did!
Lol
I like to know what brand will byd be under to make it on US soil
@@edci9370 great question... maybe they will rebrand as FUSA
How do you do that kiind of damage.....when there is no pressure?.....
I would dump that electric toaster whatever it takes.🤣
You aren't getting 50k for that thing, anyone buying in the back of their head is saying I'll be doing a 25k battery swap later on when it dies
The good thing is the auction services of that company is useless don't use those services of that auction
Love the videos! I'm not a EV fan but it looks pretty cool. I've been painting cars for the last 30 years and just built a ls swapped 59 corvette best car ever! I'm also in the north east and hate winter, best daily driver Toyota Tundra.
I love that lexus sc400 ive always wanted on and hey you could always do a video about the etron on how its been to own if for a year
You might as well drive the crap out of that car, as the mileage is not going to have any bearing on the plummeting values of EV’s.
Craig,
It's not rocket science mate. The Audi EV is a rapidly depreciating asset and you've two options:
- suck up the lost value and keep it as a personal family car
OR
- meet the market, advertise it for $55,000 and offer low cost Finance, Insurance, and Care Plan and hope to pick up some dealer commissions from these add-on items
You keep it longer, You lose.
You gotta clear it asap.
Warmest Regards - David from Melbourne, Australia
🥸👌🍷🍷❤️❤️🦘
55 is still above market, market value is around 49k for the mileage
This guy is good business man.
Is there a lot of skiing in Florida? Because you said.
Craig, you love the car, it fits your family perfectly, KEEP IT!
Whenever I see an audi on the road I feel sorry for the driver.
@@kustomchevy27 People who don't know about cars always like shiny cars lol
I’ve driven Audis for years. Love them.
Craig, when you realized the Audi wasn't registered and the wheels were scratched, that was the time to pull it from the auction. You say you love the car, it already took the depreciation hit, consider fixing the wheels and keep it.
Better yet, leave the wheels as-is and keep the car for the next decade or two!
EVs are appliances. This is why people are walking away. No one wants to pay over 60k on something that will be half in a year.
(SCA) Southern comfort America performance puts together the Black widow edition f-150s.
LOL
Awesome content um never load a car at night time and it gets scratch on the trailer then the repair afterwards the next morning
Can those scratches on the wheels be repaired? Thanks interesting video.
Hey Bud,
Yeah it sounds like a good idea to turn it into a rally car. A lot of people really enjoy them and it’s the Lexus. Win/ win.
Make it happen Captain
I loved my Turbo Taycan almost two years ago when pricing was $130ish. I took a bath and now much much cheaper. Give it a thought.
Well you certainly made that young fan's day being on the channel so it wasn't really a waste of your day.
You should be stocking shelves at Walmart.
Black Widow is an outside company that upgrades a factory truck. They are dropshipped from the factory. 20 to 30k package.
the only feasible option to get an EV here in the UK is via a lease or as a company car (good tax benefits) - after the term, the car goes back. Otherwise, hybrid wins......or wait to see what Toyota does with it's hydrogen solution.
