I feel like Ed and Al together could easily wipe the floor with Scar if they were willing to kill him. But they each have a “no kill” rule so they have to hold back from doing too much damage. Plus, they need to keep Scar intact so that they can draw out the humunculi because they want Scar for their plan too.
@@Garrus1995 I don’t think so. Even if they’re not trying to kill, that’s not an excuse for them to get they’re butt kicked like this. And that’s the appeal of Ed, he’s a balanced character/fighter and FAR from the strongest like in typical shonen stories.
@@Gadget-Walkmen It’s not just that they’re trying to hold back from killing him, they need him because the humunculi want Scar as part of their plan. If I remember this episode right, they were waiting to see if the fighting went on long enough if at least one homunculus would show up. In any other scenario, they probably could have brought Scar down pretty quick. However, Scar is one of the strongest fighters in the series so it still wouldn’t be easy for them.
So many comments on Scar’s arm missing his tattoos when he faces Bradley, it’s like nobody listen to Scars explanation about his tattoos during that fight.
Why it confused me specially was that from what Scar says it sounds like he always had both arms, while in fact the tattoos were applied during his quest with Marco.
JDMonster that’s what I mean, he must have gotten the second tattoo during the events of the series, rather than this being a continuity error. The tattoo from his brothers arm, and a tattoo of his own
That tattoo (and arm) are actually his brothers. Scar lost his arm when Kimbley came to their town and started blowing things up as part of the Ishvalan campaign. To save him, the brother used his left arm to detach his right and give it to Scar. The left arm creates and the right destroys. He made notes of the alchemy and alkahestry he learned how to entwine, basically how to use the alchemy from Amestris and the stuff from Xing together. The notes are recovered and Scar gets the left arm tattooed so that he can do the work his brother intended. He doesn't get this tattoo until after the stuff in the North at the Wall, which is nearer the end of the story. When he fights Bradley, that's on the Day of Reckoning, which is the last leg of the story.
No. Alphonse went through the gate and his body was taken away, yet he doesn't know as much.
