I have an apparition zip wallet from GG and I've been using it since December. No noticeable wear despite daily use! It does have a weird, gummy, tacky texture, but I saw one in-store that felt tougher like a regular leather wallet. Pretty dope accessory nonetheless!
I got the larger map bag and my experience is mostly the same except the segment that held the strap got pretty warped and the stitching failed. The ones GG just released look like they fixed my problem though. Until that it was my favorite small bag.
Really enjoyed the video, Ant! also really like the slight video format change with you standing! That black foil orbit gear bag looks very nice! I have three Orbit gear bags and the quality is great, I recommend them to anyone looking for a technical bag. Ive had heavy use of two messenger bags and light use of the Iridescent Chest Rig. My favorite from them is the R200 "silver flower" which is a small day pack that is mostly made of a silver foil (no visible wear, must use a different material than the acronym one?) but during the school year the r202 messenger gets a lot of use. I added the pupil travel IR attachment on for some extra s p i c e
I'm a big fan of x-pac and other DP Sailcloths, Vx21, X50 etc. Super abrasion resistant, holds off water, stains etc, looks fucking ultra with the diamond reinforcements in the laminate. The stiffness to the X50 especially is beautiful.
I’ve got that dyneema and wander bag, it’s an excellent bag aesthetics wise and looks really good on the body. unfortunately the mesh on the front gets damaged quite easily :( i’ve stopped putting belongings in the front pocket to prevent further damage
Imo I’d like to see more Tyvek pieces(including jackets)just because it’s cool and cheap. Also, I think more designers should really use the 3m reflective and the iridescent around hoods and on hats and headwear just cuz it can be useful as an anti surveillance device and possibly for safety.
The downside of tyvek for jackets is you can get super sweaty in them very easily; they're only really good for short-term wearing. Definitely for bags though! Agree on 3M particularly, always makes for a nice aesthetic touch

@@Jedwoods Is there any fabric for Waist- & Slingbags superior to Dyneema in regard to weight, abrasion resistance and water-proofness? Price doesn't really matter And which are the best water resistant zippers? The completely sealed YKK Aquaguards are way to hard to open with one hand. Are RiRi Aquazips maybe the better alternative? @@valdi778 for a waist/sling bag I'd use something like VX21 (like Flowfold or Code Of Bell use) with a VX07 lining. It's light but has enough structure to hold its shape. For zips... there isn't an easy answer, all WR zips are stiff. A reverse-coil YKK #10 or #8 could be a compromise, or decent counterpulls to make Aquaguard zips easier to use, but that's down to the quality of the design.
Hey man, don't know if you've seen it yet, but there's a trailer for a new game called Ghostwire Tokyo shown at E3. The cool part about it is that there's characters shown wearing proper techwear. You should check it out!
Oriental Quiet complete agree, which is what makes this video pretty cool. Get yo get some kinda idea as to why they cost what they do and why some like them
Rick Owens also used the apparition leather for his recent collection. Nice look but yes it is expensive.

Fabric called Hypalon thats beginning to be used in some bags. Super tough fabric that is normally used to make boats.
Is there a bag made totally out of Hypalon? I've seen some companies use panels of it in places.
A man high yuk Herbie

A really lightweight option is cuben fibre. Only thing is that its mostly on hiking bags.
i believe that’s the same fabric as dyneema composite
@@TheOlim01 ahh thanks. 😀👍🏻👍🏻
Married myself to Outlier's paper nylon tote. It's not waterproof, but it fits my poncho and the poncho covers the bag... so there's that.
Is Huel the techwear version of food!!! Does it mix well with Cyberpunk culture?!!!

I guess that Dyneema is by far the most superior material to use in bags
Dyneema's popular because it's light, but it's not the best for everything.

@@Jedwoods But is X-Pac fabric as abrasion resistant as Dyneema? And wouldn't you recommend RiRi at all?
@@valdi778 in real terms yes, just not 'per gram.' x-pac is a laminate of UHMWPE with other materials. Dyneema is just UHMWPE woven into a fibre.
