Oh my gosh, you just saved me abrand new fabric mat. I was ready to throw it in the trash and decided to google getting paper off. I didn't have Windex but I used my foam window cleaner and left it on for no more than a minite. Paper scraped off easy and mat is still sticky. THANK YOU
I would be very cautious about using Windex because it has chemicals in it. Other videos I have watched emphasized not using anything with chemicals because over time it will ruin the adhesive on your mat. They suggest using an alcohol free, unscented baby wipe instead. 😉
Well I did something worse. Second time using my scan and cut FABRIC mat, I decided to try a piece of paper with a few drawings I made with permanent marker. 🤦🏻♀️ it’s not as sticky any more and the paper is finally off but the drawing is still there. I ruined my mat 😣

I find that if you wipe the mat EVERY TIME with a no dye no perfume baby wipe, let it dry and replace the cover it restores the tackyness perfectly.

Tried it today. Must have done too good of job as I scrapped the sticky adhesive as well as the paper residue.
